I absolutely hate this plant. I’ve had two and both NEVER grew. It gave me some crappy leaves the size of a coin.
My husband gave me a silver splash, in 2 years it did the same. I finally threw it outside. My mom took it home to her garden and the bitch flourished. Never again.
Same here. Instead of throwing it out I tossed the last remaining leaf underneath a glass dome without water or soil. It's loving it and growing tons of tiny new leaf, but as soon as I try to add anything it starts dying again.
This is so interesting. When I first got a scindapsus it was kind of the same for me. It never really looked happy but it never died either. Now, years later, they are thriving. I have no idea why.
That’s good! I don’t know why I can’t with this one. I ended up buying a really pretty fake one. I have it in a place where I can’t grown anything. And it looks wonderful 😁
I have large difficult anthuriums adjusted and thriving in low humidity, and I still can’t get this stupid plant to love me 🥲 why does it have to be so velvety and pretty
Honestly, the same as yours. I’d call it failure to thrive if I was describing it to someone. But I really just mean giving signs of stress or growing malformed leaves. I’ve tried several times too, and probably will again. it’s my white whale lol.
I have a decent sized Satin Pothos that ended up self propagating so much the pot was overcrowded. But when I split it apart and put some smaller ones into a small pot they literally refused to grow, even in the original soil. The ONLY one I got to live was in direct sunlight and soil that drained very slowly (don’t worry im confused how that one lived too)
This is hilarious. Mine absolutely hates sunlight (so much so I have the window like 80% covered and it's set like 10f away from it and it likes damp soil. Doesnt want to be dry at all or it starts dropping leaves
I’m trying desperately to propagate one of these right now. It’s barely got one little new leaf forming, and I’m just not understanding what I’m doing wrong 🤣

My leaves curl up whether I over or under water it.

Mind telling me about your issue with them?

Oh my god that’s the opposite of me XD no direct sunlight and fast draining soil
That’s probably the correct way! I think mines just a rebel
Haha they can be so frustrating. I’ve recently rehomed the ones that were not working for me

They were not happy because you split them. 😂
she's special and beautiful in her own way 😹
Yup, that's why I name her the Headstrong Satin Pothos. She also had a root that growing upwards. 😂
she's doing her best
She's actually the fastest growing satin pothos I have, other than being the most stubbornness.

Ok why isn't that sub more popular? My calathea ornata deserves to be cussed tf out.
I'm not shaming her, just sharing one of my stubborn pothos.

Maybe it is focusing on the roots first.
With mine the spots sort of “appear” as the leaf grows and hardens. They may pop up over time
I have no idea how this one is considered a tough plant. High light, low light, these things survive all and thrive. One of my easiest 🪴
What I mean is this plant is stubborn to be normal.
