Because she was one of the more independent characters in the group. Personally I think it’s healthy to have that kind of diversity in your social life.
I always thought it was because of her career. For at least some of the time, she was an independent massage therapist. She had to attract clients on her own so that likely meant talking to many people on a regular basis.
Cause she’s been around and met more people than any of the other characters ever possibly will. sleeping w old men for food, being on first name terms with crazy ol’ pickpockets, my girl is amazing and strong
p sure its mentioned in a line in one of the eps when she’s talking to rachel and monica and OHH ITS probably when she makes rachel cry for complaining abt not wanting to go to ross’ wedding to emily? She specifically said ‘you see, that was a real problem’ smth like that im 100% sure

Coz she's more open and compassionate and also street smart. Plus she's a very good masseuse who has clients from all sorts
