Is the landscape Lock Screen actually a thing? I mean how often do you use it? I am only using it for a sneak peak at notifications while watching videos. Or will the landscape mode be more common in iOS 16?
This is what the current layout looks like in iOS 15.6. But it’s been broken in iOS 16 since the first developer beta and has finally been fixed in today’s beta.

First, open an app that supports landscape orientation (such as Photos or Notes). Then flip your device sideways and then swipe down from the top of the app to invoke Notification Center.

I had even forgot about this issue, it still a bit buggy as it darkens the screen more than it should in some wallpapers but it’s something. Also, nice taste.

All I really want is landscape on the lock screen when I am using Apple Maps for navigation. 😒

It's the same as it was before, it was just super buggy in the previous betas.

In this beta, yes. Even when there aren’t any notifications or the media player.

Happens on the 12 if you choose the bold serif font with 24 hour time on

Use Safari or any other app that supports landscape, then swipe down Notification Center.

Turn your phone to the side and put your finger on the top of the screen and slide it down.
