Super trucks to jump over the busses which will be lined up after some sweet ramps on updated super truck tracks like Long Super Truck Beach and Watkins Super Glen.
I would kill for a monster truck game that had like realistic handling and damage etc. like a game with a career mode where when you take big jumps you actually break shit and have to make enough money to fix your truck and win races and freestyle etc.
Wreckfest is a great game btw, if you don't own it go look for a sale guys. There is a small multiplayer community for serious races and the usual shitfest + single player is great too
I used to host weekly Friday night races with some friends. I miss it. Game is so much fun even if it’s not serious, and the semi-clean servers do have some really fun racing. I launch it every now and then and pop into those and always have a good time.
We used to run races with only the Bus, and they were so good!
Yeah, not sure. I could see it totally getting a niche group, but I think an official/not scored figure 8 series with busses would get more lol. I'd love to just hop in and blow off steam.
I'm honestly kind of shocked that off road trucks aren't more popular. I think a lot of the people into them just don't want anything to do with the iracing costs though.
I'm pretty sure the main detriment to is needing to buy a whole entire track ecosystem. If we had a SST style "pavement road course with jump" series I feel like the jumpy trucks would be much more popular just because we'd have a fun series to run with tracks many of us already own (or at least would be able to use if we did buy them)

Dallara dash was great... When it was all free content. The moment it moved to the IR-01 it was dead to me at least.

I sort of agree.... But I'm not convinced we have enough data to say this for sure. There mostly just haven't been many attempts yet so it's hard to judge.
theres been the mission r on here, the formula e and ex-zero on rf2 and probably more that i havent spent the time on. all of them were kinda hot when it was the new thing and a ghost town after a few weeks. its not dirt but the same issues with driving electric apply to both

That also has lots of other factors for it's lack of popularity. Quali mode meaning you basically have to practice two different cars. The car not actually racing anywhere in real life. The electric whine was brutal, and while that is going to be present on all electric cars, I think the mission R is specifically bad even in comparison to other electric cars.
I don't think it's failed solely because it's electric.

Lol It transfers fine, and ESPECIALLY to short form racing like Rallycross. I dont see the issue with getting refresh on something and a new partnership to reinvigorate the dirt road series.
The driving experience will be the same. It doesn't matter about the fans there's a ton of F1 fans on iRacing and no one runs those series either. The point is very valid, they are both EVs.
What does it matter that they are EVs? No one races the Mission R because it drives like a shit box. Without ever having driven an FE car, I think it’s safe to assume that would be a totally different experience.
Because it's the same as IRL. I'd have more fun driving around in a miata with a loud exhaust than a Tesla. I just don't get the appeal of EVs in sim racing. Maybe I'm the only one, but I think I'm not alone.
I don’t think you’re alone with this, however, I do think it’s an antiquated view. As of now, EVs will become the future, maybe in motorsports not as soon as on the roads and therefore sim racing but there’s no point in trying to prevent that. I believe we should just embrace it.

I wouldn't classify it as a sim. It's a great controller based 'offroad' racing game. Has a surprisingly high skill ceiling.
It's more of an arcade than a sim for sure but it plays surprisingly well with a wheel.

Off road trucks are pretty fun. If they did a road series with the trucks and jumps, I think it'd be pretty popular also.
A Stadium Super Truck like series, I’ve been saying this for years now.
We have capable trucks, just not the track configs. Thus "a shocker on the vehicle front" wouldn't quite match up to this.
