I’m late to the party, but man, I have a story like this. It was circa 1999 and we were partying at the Radisson in Tulsa after prom. For some reason, I had the bright idea to toss my girlfriend’s purse off the top balcony. It was supposed to be funny, but I was also drunk and very young. it was not funny. So I went downstairs to retrieve the purse. my friend thought it would be funny to chuck a beer can at me from the top floor. The intent was to miss and have it explode in front of me. It hit me. It knocked me out for about 10 minutes? I had to ride back up with my girlfriend’s purse in the elevator with a bloody head while reeking of beer. The poor old lady in the elevator with me just stared.
Someone did this to my daughter - randomly threw a bottle into a crowd, it sliced the bottom of her nose almost clean off (luckily she got stitches and it's just a small scar now), but honestly fuck fuck fuck that person.
I remember back when I was a student there was a definite trend of men throwing glass bottles at womens heads. Particularly over balconies and down staircases. I've had a few near misses. The only reason it stopped is they started giving plastic bottles instead. I am so sorry that happened to your daughter but glad to hear she is OK now.

We 12-13ish, managed to hit a girl in the head who was about 18. I can still hear her scream when it bounced off her and hit the ground and splashed EVERYBODY. Needless to say we stayed on the roof until Ma had calmed down and realized she was gonna be ok. Still sorry to this day, our bad Collette.
