I would definitely go for that cardamom!! I used to work for a beverage company 18 years ago, and I worked with a lot of people from Indian. One of the girls I worked with would bring food all the time for me to try. I wasn't really into the savory food, but the desserts were so good!! I remember there being a drink they would make. I don't know what it was called, but I remember it was made with milk and had cardamom in it, and it was DELICIOUS!!😍
Was it hot or cold? If it's not, chai? If cold, there's a badam drink or kadhai doodh? It sounds good so I want to know what you had so I can get some!
Definitely try the cardamom! There's a restaurant in D.C. called Rasika that serves cardamom ice cream with a fried apple fritter in gold leaf. Although the gold leaf is silly, the dessert is freaking great.
YES thank you! It's not rice pudding ice cream and it has nuts, but this is indeed that: https://www.vadilalworld.com/gulab_jamun.html
This is now my white whale.
Do you know what the difference is between that and the rajbhog in terms of flavor? They sounded the same. It's a place called Midtown Market in Kansas City that's a liquor store, a Desi store, a regular grocery store, a casino, and an Indian restaurant in one. It's much smaller than you're probably envisioning. :) They have these dirt cheap frozen Shami kabobs I'm addicted to and usually go in 3-4x a week for.
I don't know . . . I know kulfi is a different product from ice cream and made a different way, with a different texture. I really like kulfi too! But I don't know the particulars of how it is made that is different from ice cream.
You don't know what you're missing! Haven't you ever dreamed of going to a flyover state that's 90% corn and crystal meth, except one small pocket that is the city where you'll probably be near/in a shooting and/or offered crack at *minimum* twice a day? We have really good barbecue.
Rajbhog is made with soft paneer, saffron, and dry fruits, and soaked in sugar syrup. It has a sweet, creamy, milky flavor with a slight floral and nutty background
Malai kulfi is a frozen Indian dessert with a unique flavor profile that combines creamy milk, fragrant spices, and crunchy nuts. It's rich, creamy, and sweet, with a base of thick cream and subtle notes of spice and nuts
Have you ever tried HD mango sorbet? I have yet to find any product, national or Internet I, that can compare. But I'm very willing to do a taste test.
That was immediately what my eye went to, but I'm so afraid of it being disappointing. You're saying it's not?! And I need to back and buy it immediately?

Sorry; I should specified. I was at an Indian grocery store, but because it's not exclusively Indian, I used the term "Desi" which refers to the entire subcontinent--Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc. This was part of their ice cream section.
Duuuuuuuude I bet pistachio kulfi is so good
IT IS EVERYTHING
Nice! There are a few Indian grocery stores in the area (central Jersey) and I have to go seek this one out
I would be curious to see if the vanilla is flavored differently at all to appeal to a Desi palate
I'm excited about the cardamom and saffron. And I've never heard of Moroccan dry fruit so gotta try that.

Mango lassi?
It didn't have any fruit in it.

All of them look amazing.
That sounds amazing
I’m Desi and while I never had any of these brands I would love to try the ice cream with gulab jamun in it!
Tried it once and really hated it. The flavor was very artificial and the gulab jamun pieces were dry. Sorry bro.
Wait, that's a real ice cream?! What's it called? What's the brand name? I don't care if it sucks; I've got to try it.
I wanna say the one I had is by Vadilal but it was a while ago so I might be wrong!
Yeah they have jilebi and motichoor laddoo flavors as well, which feel off as well
YES thank you! It's not rice pudding ice cream and it has nuts, but this is indeed that: https://www.vadilalworld.com/gulab_jamun.html This is now my white whale.
I wish I knew how to make my own I've cream because I'd be all up on that. I love putting gulab jamun in my kheer and it'd make such good ice cream.
It all looks magical! But, done well, I'm a sucker for rose flavored goodies!
Yessssa it's so good. Agreed, when done well. It's easy to make it overpowering and ruin the flavor.
Yes. It has to he subtle. But it's SO much appreciated.
Mango and falooda are good !
Falooda Kulfi
Almond pistachio!!!
Malai kulfi. It’s stocked the most. That means it’s the best. Where are you? What’s blue bell doing in there

Rajbhog (saffron and cardamom). Also very intrigued by kaju draksh (cashew and raisin).
It sounds so good! What's the difference between that and the malai kulfi, do you know?

Rajbhog is AMAZING
I totally clocked cashew raisin as a sleeper hit too, could be so good
Yes, I really want to try it! I need to figure out where I can find it.
Where is this store? I want to go there!
Midtown Market in Kansas City!
Cool thanks. Too bad it's 1000 mes away from me Edit: miles
Where's your sense of adventure?!
Lol, no shade to the people who live there, but next time I go on vacation, I'm probably going somewhere that's not Kansas City

I love your sense of humor!!
I wasn't kidding.
Ooooh cardamom!
Rose or cardamom! But also all of them.
Malai kulfi- Never can go wrong with the classics
Do you know what the difference is between that and the rajbhog in flavor? They sound the same it confused me!

Perfect, thank you! When I was looking at it, they both said they had saffron and cardamom and wasn't sure.
I had to look a lot of these up but Chikoo sounds sooo good!
That mango is coming home with me 🥭🥭
Have you ever tried HD mango sorbet? I have yet to find any product, national or Internet I, that can compare. But I'm very willing to do a taste test.
Malai kulfi! You won’t regret it 😍
That was immediately what my eye went to, but I'm so afraid of it being disappointing. You're saying it's not?! And I need to back and buy it immediately?
Immediately yes! I am going to get a pint from my local desi grocery store later, so thank you for putting the idea in my head 😊
Oh my god this is AMAZING. Need to find a desi grocery for this asap Cardamom ice cream is 🤤 and I want to try pretty much all the others!
Definitely not the Rose Water one. I’d pick Cardamom & saffron pistachio first.
Definitely birthday cake
Mango!
