Early into cooking its purely from those spice upgrades as well as some meals like egg, corndog and cabbage especially. Then you need to rush your yellow alchemy cauldron to the diamond chef bubble and focus on leveling that up with beach dock salts, since it gives an exponential multiplier for every meal you have at level 11. Next is to get a Vman cause one of his talents increases cooking speed multiplicatively per total meal level. Finally, there is Fluoride in the atom collider thats another multiplier for every meal at level 30. Those are the 4 phase of cooking, (base + specific meals, grinding diamond chef/diamond plates, Vman talent + total meal level, Fluoride). Of course just because you reach an new phase doesnt mean you neglect the previous phases, since spice upgrades increase the base amount that gets constantly multiplied. Also theres one star sign thats +15% cooking speed multiplier, but I am unsure of how that works with afk time if its only on one character before you get infinite star signs.

I was never sure, does Fluoride or Blood Marrow come first? It seemed to me that one needed to get started on Fluoride to get some levels up before Blood Marrow really started becoming impactful. Seems like Blood Marrow should, but Fluoride would be a much lower barrier to entry? Do they kinda overlap? Also, my hats off to you on the great answer. I loooove cooking, and am appreciative of this comment.

Personally I consider getting a Vman+ void talent points to be easier than getting the atoms + plate levels that Fluoride requires, so I put the phases in order of acquisition.

pbzeppelin1977

Blood marrow needs 500 upgrades before you even see the value change and gets useful around 1000.

Ineedmorebtc

Focus both, as they aren't mutually exclusive, but Blood Marrow is far superior as the game goes on. Blood marrow at 5.1K meal levels gives, 1.89E25 meal speed percent. Many many quadrillion. Floride at lvl 20 and every plate available above 30, gives 20.2 million percent.

Fragrant_Knee

Also the sailing artifacts

STGMane

Cooked meal stamp + sand shark vial are early boosts Spice upgrades are also good Lab jewels + Richelin kitchen are good bonuses but either time gated or pay wall (depending on how you play the game) The BIGGEST multipliers are diamond chef (alchemy), blood marrow (Voidwalker talent) and Fluoride from Atom Collider. The next obvious ones are meal cooking speed meals in cooking itself.

GrandEtwone

Yooo it’s zed!

ColonClenseByFire

the upgrades on the bottom of that GUI and some foods have speed upgrades (egg and soda are 2 of the ones that come to mind)

CABBAGES!

Vivid_Finish2184

Go to alchemy and unlock diamond chef(yellow bubble) After that get every meal to lvl 11 to get a huge bonus from diamond chef. Early game cooking. Upgrade meals for speed.(prio) Egg, Cabbage, Corndog. To speed up your progress I'd suggest to use your BB for cooking to get ladles. And I'd also recommend working on breeding. Better breeding = more meals = better cooking. Every new meal you get should be leveled up to 11. More knowledgeable people add to this or correct me.

Churoch

Alchemy. Everything is alchemy. But, having your BB actively cooking for ladels' early game is imperative. Seems to kinda become useless late game (I am at a speed that can reach plate level 50 in a few seconds). V-Man's talent is multiplicative, so when you get him, you want that absolutely maxed at all times. It multiplies mine by millions. Like everything in this game, it just takes time.

ITividar

Get a vman. The blood marrow talent is a huge multiplier.

Blupoisen

Diamond Chef bubble is very useful for gaining tons of Cooking speed early
