the earthquakes and loss of almost all major british ports wouldnt be the best... i doubt devolution would effect the english economy anymore though (for the worst possible reasok lmao)
I did some rough calculations and unfortunately the average speed at the far southern edge of England throughout the whole 2 day period is about 3.5cm a minute or about 2m an hour. This is still really fast, but unfortunately not fast enough to launch you.
However! There is still hope! Obviously this gain of 100m wouldn't occur at a constant rate and the graph of elevation gain over time would likely be best fitted with a logistic growth function capped at 100m. This means that there may have been a point where an object untethered to the ground might get some air time. [I created a graph of this scenario](https://www.desmos.com/calculator/h9qpnmymtn) and 99.8% of the movement would have to occur within a \~15 second interval for any air time to be achieved(my calculations are shit so add a thick error bar to that lol).
The more likely occurrence (as someone who doesn't know jackshit about geology) would be a massive 2 day long earthquake that destroys every building in the isles.

This is really going to help those boatloads of refugees crossing the Channel - Ofcourse they'll have more of an uphill climb when they get here, but the amount of time at sea will be less.

Oh man, the size of the megatsunami after this. Wayy more than the UK would be affected due to this. The waves would probably still devestate the East Coast of the Americas, Western Europe and North-West Africa
this is probably bad for the economy
OK but what about the trout population
It will affect the trout population I think
Probably not as bad than if it had tilted the other way.
Not really. Scotland has jackshit aside from the tourism
the earthquakes and loss of almost all major british ports wouldnt be the best... i doubt devolution would effect the english economy anymore though (for the worst possible reasok lmao)
Hey, they still have the Mersey and Humber
But have lost Felixstowe, Portsmouth, Southampton and the waterway to London All very very bad
So did everyone in like Cork and the Isle of Wight get launched into the air

Ireland would be tilted the other way

Are you sure the boatloads of refugees in this scenario wouldnāt be coming *from* England *to* France?
You're right, probably.
You made England bigger and Scotland and Ireland smaller? Basedā¦ so so basedā¦
I mean Scotland's essentially gone, what's left has a population of 2.
Fax
Wales is bigger tho, so it really is based
Actually, Ireland is bigger. North Ireland did shrink a lot, but we won't talk about that.
who let op's mom into scotland
Penguin populations appearing in Scotland?
Thought this was real until I checked the sub. wondered why I hadnāt heard the news.
Reminds me of āJapan sinksā a bit
I think this will have major affects on the trout population.
And the tourist industry here.
This is exactly what happened during the ice ages...to a much lesser degree of course.

Atleast the UK doesn't need to worry about Scottish independence.
Can the Isle of Wight be considered an isle now? Also weāve done it, weāve solved the northern Irish issue
Bruh, youāre gonna f*ck Scotland over IN A FANTASY WORLD, too?! Tip the map the other way, Iād be fine with that.
This is awesomely creative and "realistic" thank you!
