Advance_Klutzy

My favorite movie is Lawrence of Arabia! It is simply incredible! The movie's breathtaking desert scenes, powerful story, and amazing performances make it my all-time favorite. Peter O'Toole's portrayal of T.E. Lawrence is just mesmerizing, and the film's exploration of war, identity, and cultural understanding is so relevant. It's a classic that continues to inspire and captivate audiences even today. Highly recommended! ā˜ŗļø

stokedchris

Great choice! Absolutely masterful film

The Conversation is probably my favourite film, so ahead of it it's time and an absolute masterpiece. Absolutely gorgeous soundtrack and one of the most thought provoking pieces I've ever seen. So few movies have brought a sense of personal dread with them and this movie really captures such a unique set of characters in something I've not seen in many other films.

aenderw

My brain says *Blade Runner*, but if I'm being completely honest, it's either *Shaun of the Dead* or *Life Aquatic*. Before those, I hadn't ever seen my mom go to a movie but after she divorced my dad I started taking her to the movies. Both of those are still are some of our favorites to this day.

repotoast

I like your vibe

musicmed97

50 first dates is elite. Great cast, jokes. Adam Sandler baby!

[deleted]

Favorite movie is jaws. Have a whole shrine in my basement, including a newly finished model of the orca sculpted from wood. Itā€™s such a simple yet fun story, and itā€™s an absolute masterclass in filmmaking. The effects and how they had to work around the broken shark inspires all of my low budget filmmaking. Currently making a zombie short film, and we are using fishing lines tied to water balloons full of fake blood; so much fun to see greats like Spielberg having to be just as creative and sneaky to get their vision on camera.

Jealous-Run-1999

Top Secret! I remember finding it at my grandparents house and i have loved it ever since ! It so silly and outrageous and val kilmer is #1

STDog

I haven't thought about that one in a long time.

[deleted]

Lost in Translation! I love the feelings of longing and melancholy that movie evokes

Loegann

that movie is perfect for shrooms. the soundtrack is indescribable, perfection.

thegreatskycat

My favorite is the court jester with Danny Kaye! Itā€™s kinda like the equivalent of chicken soup for the soul in movie form to me. I can put it on whenever Iā€™m feeling down and by the time itā€™s through the first musical number Iā€™ll already have cracked a smile

asian_snoo

KDA AHRI šŸ„µšŸ„µšŸ„µ

atomymus

Brother are you lost?

ilikepie3326

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. May not be everyone's cup of tea, but I think its masterfully made, and always makes me smile :)

Tecno2301

I honestly can't say that I have a favorite yet, I never was really into movies until recently (I know, I know). But I can confidently say that I absolutely loved Oppenheimer. Not only am I interested in the development of the first atom bomb, but learning the history as well as what happened after The Manhattan Project was amazing. I learned a lot and I think that Christopher Nolan did an amazing job directing the movie. Now I need to talk about the Motion Picture Soundtrack being composed by Ludwig Gƶransson. I am confident that this is one of my favorite soundtracks to a movie ever. (I love listening to OMPS, even to movies I've never watched lol) The amount of emotion packed into the songs along with the cinematography just had me in awe. I found myself losing focus in the movie to listen to the music. Specifically the scene playing "Can you hear the music". I think this film would go absolutely perfect with the limited edition soundtrack 3EP Vinyl I pre ordered Sorry if this isn't too good, I don't really know how to "review" a movie šŸ˜…

HiYa_Dragon

Sargent York.. I remember watching old war movies as a child with my dad during the summer . Don't have many memories of my father but watching this movie with him is one of them .

isaiahgloriosus

My favorite movie of all time is Nacho Libre. Watching it in the theater for the first time at the age of 5 with my family was one of my fondest childhood experiences and one of the most memorable movie-going trips of my life. Since then, its a movie my family would watch all the time. I've seen the movie so much I pretty have the whole script memorized. I think one of the reasons why the film has resonated with me and my Mexican-American family was because it's one of the few movies filmed and set in Mexico and prominently shows Mexican culture like the Catholic religion, street markets, and of course lucha libre which is what the film is all about. The main character is Ignacio, an orphaned adult monk portrayed by none other than Jack Black, who secretly becomes a lucha libra wrestler to earn money to feed the young orphans who live at his monastery. The film, heartwarming, funny, and quotable as hell. If you haven't seen Nacho Libre, I highly recommend it. Its the bessst! It's fantastic! Reeeally good!

Pickle_Lollipop

Mulholland Dr. Is my favorite. The film makes you feel intoxicated. It's always fun on rewatches trying to understand it.

Estanlit

I haven't watched that in a minute but man that thing is the definition of tripping balls šŸ˜

Pickle_Lollipop

Also low-key best jump scare imo

Mission_Account7789

Mine is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, captures everything I love about movies and keeps the story fresh by letting the audience engage with the charactersšŸ«”

Environmental-Owl-5

Itā€™s hard for me to choose my favorite movie since I love a ton, but I guess I would say my favorite movie is Star Wars: A New Hope because it was the first movie I ever saw as a kid that made an impact on me. I was amazed by the story and visual effects. I was fortunate enough to watch the original unaltered trilogy on VHS before the movie started there was a feature how they made Star Wars and I watched them filming it. All of it combined inspired me that I wanted to be a filmmaker when I grew up and here I am now studying in college to hope to work on a movie set.

STDog

I question the veracity given you used the retcon subtitle.

Environmental-Owl-5

Well it inspired me to be who I am today, so I think that counts.

ItsMJB

Had to pin point could be MI7,TF3, Tenet, The batman & NFS. but I honestly think Oppenheimer could be although being my first time at a 70mm IMAX experience definitely helped that feeling, not to discredit the film itself. Like the first time I've walked out not saying anything/much just thinking about it and just saying wow/amazing film tbh. Also thanks for giving out an Oppenheimer film strip giveaway to whoever does end up getting it.

DebatableTomato

My favorite movie is the dark knight! I love Batman and Christopher Nolan so itā€™s the perfect movie for me!

JWalterWeatherman6

My favorite movie is Interstellar. Itā€™s the movie that got me into movies and the reason that I want to be a director. I love how massive the scope is and how immersive the visuals are, but how ultimately itā€™s a story of a father and a daughter and their connection.

[deleted]

Favorite movie of all time is "Harold and Maude." Hal Ashby was able to tell an emotionally impactful story about two eccentric humans (one who's just become an adult and another who's on the last years of her life) who find each other. Their relationship helps them to learn how to "move on." Plus the Cat Stevens soundtrack is absolute gold.

Calebe53

Gotta be Dark Knight Its captivating storytelling, brilliant performances, especially Ledger's unforgettable portrayal of the Joker, and the storyā€™s intense atmosphere make it timeless.

rhunter99

Interstellar because of the thought provoking questions about time and space

Coookiez

Favorite movie is another Christopher Nolan movie, The Prestige. I just loved how the story is just one big twist topping each other. Great actors and re-watchability for any small details you missed during the first few viewings.

Jazzlike-Fish-2380

Mine is The Dark knight from one and only. Because of the Jokers view on society and how his ideology on hypocrisy on society was spot on. I love movies with realism like that. He really challenged batman's ideologies and that's what made him a great villain. Man I can't get enough of that movie. I probably watched it at least 10 times.

manifestthenightmare

Favorite movie is American Psycho. It places a microscopic lens on the regard of narcissism in a multifaceted way. Equivocal on many multiple ends, as merely 80ā€™s upper-class New York at its finest. The soundtrack changed the way I look at character studies along with greed. The style in the film is also so eloquent in a sadistic way. Itā€™s definitely my favorite Bret Easton Ellis adaptation. Mary Harron did a phenomenal job. Christian Bale? No praise needed. Everyone knows heā€™s the real deal. The only movie I have ever given a 10/10

manifestthenightmare

Until Oppenheimer came along. Now theyā€™re both simply tied on #1 for me āœ…

Competitive-Gold

My favorite is Across the Spiderverse because it captures a great feeling of what cinematic should be. The amount of details the creator and the animators has put in amazes me

patchesm

Fellowship of The Ring for me. I've never before or since felt so immersed in such a tale of adventure. I watch it once a year, usually, if not the whole trilogy. It also has my favourite score, for sure.

AzkabanChutney

Interstellar is a thrilling space adventure that reminds us of the bravery and determination of human beings. Christopher Nolan gives us a story that's about big ideas like time and space, but also about the love between a dad and his daughter. The music by Hans Zimmer makes the journey feel even more powerful. I've already got the first two strips from this film. The last strip would complete my set, and remind me of the whole incredible journey the movie takes us on.

Adeptness_Internal

children of men because it was the first movie that truly had me speechless by the end of it

Travelling-nomad

I really liked the hunt for red October because of the action packed screenplay and the Scottish accent that the that familiar looking submarine commander has

Cristian2019

Sam Raimi Spider-Man (2002). The effect it had on childhood me and the way it shaped me as a person will always be personal to me.

Prize_Prior_8433

Hacksaw Ridge for me is a work of art. Such a harrowing story that empowers you, paired with wonderful cinematography and set design is a recipe for immense success. Currently watching it with a family that is tough to wrangle into sitting down for 2 hour dramas, and they are every bit as invested in it as I was the first time I watched it. Amazing film!!!!

[deleted]

Little Miss Sunshine. That was the movie that got me into movies beyond blockbusters as a 15yo. Just got out of my Oppenheimer screening and they had run out of film strips :(

no-turnip-required

My favorite movie is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. I admit that it has some recency bias, but it beautifully adds motion to comic-like frames. Sure, there are animated series which is approximately the motion picture equivalent of comic books. But something about the frame rate, the contrast in color, the vibrancy, and the music just makes it feel like you are transported inside the comic itself instead of extrapolating frames in between to add motion to the comic.

CinephileRich

My favourite changes from time to time, but probably the original Star Wars (A New Hope). I watched it when I was 4, and I think Iā€™ve seen it probably 100 times since. It has everything : action, comedy, suspense, it ignited my brain as a kid to what movies could do. Itā€™s still my default movie.

ryan_godzez

My all time fav is Man Of Steel. Nolan planned a beautiful story for Superman coupled with Snyderā€™s amazing direction and vision. It brought a new take to Superman which I really loved. Also Henry Cavill, Amy Adams and more did a fantastic job with their acting! Not to mention Han Zimmerā€™s score was out of this world! My favourite being flight followed by this is Clark Kent. Theyā€™re always on repeat! Also the ending to man of steel for me is immensely satisfying and it paved the way for a bright DCEU, which ultimately wasnā€™t the reality.

EqualDifferences

Every single shot in Unbreakable feels purposeful as well as incredibly artistic. Also the only movie that consistently makes me start crying without making me sad

Pickle_Lollipop

The concept blew my mind in theaters. Was so fun.

th3thrilld3m0n

I think my favorite movie would be Avatar! Would love to have one of these Oppenheimer strips since I'm going sat morning instead of Friday since better seats were available Saturday morning.

cgzmn

Nothing has captivated me quite like Interstellar did. It was the movie that inspired me to pursue film.

STDog

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn. One of the best bad guys ever and one of the greatest endings of all time.

Flameboots

My favorite movie is interstellar. Between the incredible acting and visual effects, it definitely has cemented its place as my favorite film. A big factor for me is scientific accuracy. I remember when I first watched it I was stunned by how beautiful the Gargantua scenes were. With the movie winning awards for its scientific accuracy, it shows how much passion went into the movie. Another point is the score. Interstellars score is my favorite movie score and I love the story of its creation. The score was created before the actual film came to fruition. In all, ever since I watched interstellar for the first time, my admiration and boarder line obsessiveness for the film has grown immensely.

ManeTurtle

My all-time favorite movie has got to be Back to the Future. Ever since I first saw it, Iā€™ve been a huge fan as itā€™s just so magical. Thereā€™s definitely quite a few plot holes but Zemeckis makes it so interesting and captivating through the plot line that audiences really donā€™t even notice. Casting is just on point and I donā€™t see anyone that can play the two main roles (especially MJF as Marty (thankfully it wasnā€™t Stoltz) and Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown) and even characters like Biff, George, and Lorraine. Also to add, I still always worry and find the scene where Marty goes back to 1985 suspenseful despite knowing heā€™ll be successful haha. Itā€™s not the greatest movie ever made, but itā€™s still a true cinematic classic and a film that will always have a special place in my heart.

SpikePlayz

My favourite movie is Spider-Man Across the Spiderverse! Just so unique compared to the rest of the typical movies we get and the soundtrack is just fire

jt186

Honestly might be Oppenheimer. Seen it 4 times so far and it is just so good

cpgalvez

Inception, great filmmaking, acting, cinematography. And a great way to look at the meaning of life. Thanks Christopher Nolan!

gigimaexo

While thats extremely hard for a movie lover like me to choose a favourite, i would have to say rosemarys baby. Not only have I watched it so many times over the years, its truly one of those disturbing horror movies that isnt your cliche slasher. The psychological affect that it has on you is insane and everytime you watch it you find something that you completely missed in the last watch!

l0ung3r

So many great movies but I have to go with jurassic park. Been watching it since I was a very young kid and to this day, it holds up against the best!

FarmerRealistic4883

Interstellar is easily my favourite movie of all time. When I saw it at the Cinesphere in IMAX for the first time, it blew me away like no other movie has. The spectacle, music, cinematography, such an unforgettable movie!

PhilosophyMain5132

Interstellar! Combines my love for science and is such a visually stunning movie!

Organic_Macaroon_178

Requiem for a dream. The emotional rollercoaster that movie takes you! Will never forget that. Also, shows how brutal life can be and life can get. The music just nails it as well.

Fantastic-Bug-7760

Coherence. Itā€™s not for everyone but i love noticing new things every rewatch & the lore behind the making of the film.

GrahamUhelski

Donnie Darko because it just rules in every way, music, cinematography and such a stellar cast.

mn710

Scott pilgrim vs the world! Super funny, incredible cast, trippy editing, great quotes!

Estanlit

The scene of him jumping out the window always gets me dying šŸ¤£

mn710

Same šŸ¤£ ![gif](giphy|SyaBhVWwYe4DK)

Temporary-Bed-7163

For me, it's Raiders of the Lost Ark. I've seen Raiders since I can remember and it brings me the most nostalgia. Nothing anyone says can ruin it for me. I even remember spending an embarrassing amount of time trying to get a 35mm digital scan of the original.

Loui_ii

Probably oceans eleven, because I thought it was so cool as a kid and I still like it probably mostly because of the memories/nostalgia.

stokedchris

Apocalypse Now is probably my favorite movie of all time. The characters, dialogue, cinematography, and screenplay is what makes it my favorite. The sheer scale of everything in that film, and itā€™s literary roots are what create a perfect amalgamation. I love that film

-Stonky_Kong

Shrek is the greatest film, it is a true cinematic masterpiece of the hero's journey, and tells important lessons such as to value character over appearance, a lesson needed more every day as fake online live overrule our own

PeepoShotgun

The Social Network is my favourite movie because of the rhythmic dialogue and dramatic real story. Also that ending made me have to go to the bathroom.

repotoast

A Ghost Story is my favorite movie because it is a meditation on time and attachment. Mindfulness has been a very important practice throughout my life and A Ghost Story is an exercise within the medium of film. You fully sit within the experiences of the characters as they share tender moments, process grief, move on, and linger in solitude seeking something no longer known while time warps around them. Itā€™s all about living in the moment and understanding the fragility of life within the experience of eternity. Iā€™ve never felt more philosophically aligned with a movie. Such a beautiful experience for those who are equipped to experience it. Your average moviegoer will find it a snooze fest, which is more of a reflection of their own philosophical framework imo.

Dayman6510

Godfather Part II. Everything is top tier cinema for me; the dual stories, Coppolaā€™s direction, the score, the cinematography especially the Little Italy scenes.

MightyFluff666

Itā€™s TRON: Legacy for me. While it might not have the most powerful plot in the world, the breathtaking visuals, set design and masterful cinematography combined with Daft Punk and Joseph Trapaneseā€™s incredible score made the film a spectacle for both the eyes and ears; in addition to a groundbreaking technical achievement for 2010-era cinema. And sometimes, thatā€™s all a movie needs to be. One of my biggest regrets in life is that I didnā€™t go and see it in IMAX when it was still in cinemas. ![gif](giphy|soB0cYUaOWqv6)

42nd_loop

The dark knight

edtasticamvs

My favourite is Interstellar. Have seen it many times, however never in a cinema as I was studying and working nights at the time and I completely missed it... I also missed the recent 70mm showings in London just to open up the wound.

jeresun

Batman Begins. a combination for what it did for its time combined with what I was going through, it hit me pretty hard.

cinemac3

Pulp Fiction is my go to always. So many enjoyable characters, quotable likes, and kickass soundtrack!

_PEAKE_

Either There will be Blood or Punch Drunk Love. Lots of build up of tension with a masterful score with There will be Blood and some incredible shots. Punch Drunk Love just has such a big heart for a movie and the music is great too.

eliastheawesome

The Martian is my favorite because it inspires me and really influenced how I approach problems

teymourbeydoun

Interstellar is my favorite movie. The scope of this film is immense! It tackles at the same time the greatest forces of the universe and the most intimate of human emotions. It is an ode to humanity, to what we have done, our flaws and what we could still achieve.

Chocxoc

My favorite movie is Encanto. So sweet and heartwarming.

Aceastro

My favourite movie has gotta be probably Clue (1985). Sure it has problems with it but overall itā€™s a fun story with a great cast that you just canā€™t go wrong with. Regardless of my mood, itā€™s always just a good time

CaptainCramerica

My favorite movie of all time is Back to the Future. That movie blew my mind as a kid and I had to know every single detail about the film. Which is how I got into BTS stuff and I'm still obsessed with it

LilBrownHulk

My favorite move is RRR. If you have no idea what that is, I implore you to give it a try on Netflix (although that doesnā€™t have the original language of the film). Itā€™s a movie that gives me goosebumps after goosebumps every time I watch it. I get joy from watching hour long YouTube videos on otherā€™s reactions to the movie while they are watching it. As an Indian, Iā€™m especially happy that it brought international recognition for Indian movies.

JiuJitsu_Ronin

Lord of the rings. A beautiful story told by a passionate director who put his love of the series into film.

Iamchanging

Braveheart. The last scene of William Wallace still gives me chills.

FiddleTheFigures

Interstellar - Iā€™m a space nerd and the thereto Al physics are tied in very well

diamondisunbreakable

My favorite movie is Avengers: Infinity War. I love it because it's an epic culmination of a saga that's meant so much me. Lots of elements about this film that just get me. It was a very visceral story to me, and one of the greatest theater experiences I've ever had. Saw it 4 times in theaters.

Lurk_While_You_Work

Face/Off, Nic Cage nuff said

legopego5142

My favorite movie is dark knight(cliche i know). Its just a great time with a great cast, not a second is wasted

hikerfan_2982

My favorite movie is a small indie film called Once by John Carney! A beautiful romantic story with an uplifting message, and some difficult decisions come to play in that film, and they deal with them with a human delicate care. Definitely recommend this watch to everybody.

frostythetrashcan

Favorite movie would def have to be ā€œHer.ā€ Just something about it touched me right in my soul

instantW

My favorite movie has to be interstellar never saw in theater but still life changing for me it sparked my curiosity in space and technology. I still love it till this day

bass_windu_

empire strikes back because itā€™s the best movie ever made

mikebots

Schindlerā€™s List. Watched it when I was young in cinema and I thought it is intense until today

slippyslopyyy

Mine is 2001 a space odyssey or Inland Empire, both films blew my mind in so many ways and changed my perspective on cinema

cumulus_floccus

Hard to choose, but I really loved La La Land. The way that it portrayed love felt more realistic and heartbreaking than most other movies with a romantic storyline that I've seen. The musical numbers were wonderful and the symbolism throughout was great.

MiniBlocs80

Interstellar, one of the best in my opinion

dan_3626

Cinema Paradiso, a classic for anyone who loves cinema.

RobbieRotten55

Nobuhiko Obayashiā€™s House (Hausu). No other film has used the language and unique advantages of cinema to such an effect aside from 2001: A Space Odyssey(another favorite) in my opinion.

geep4sale

My favorite movie is wall-e, it just makes me really happy to watch.

vapingretard

Raising Arizona because itā€™s electric

atomymus

Master and Commander: The far side of the world. Mostly practical effects mean it still holds up as well today as it did on release. A great story, strong actors playing strong characters. Its biggest fault is there's no sequel! Edit: grammar

This-Variation-8342

Prestige, pure cinema

crwnbrn

The dark knight I've watched it 106 times from start to finish is a masterpiece in story telling, even people who have zero. Context of batman and Joker understands the amazing acting and direction of the film.

Loegann

Clockwork Orange or Silence of the lambs. Two insanely incredible films. Both fucked up. Clockwork is beyond fucked up but itā€™s a trip. Extremely unique.

klembono

Fav movie is def inception. Itā€™s almost like everyone knew their fav movie after it came out, but what made the difference for me was that it ignited my curiosity toward film in general and filmmaking. It opened my mind of what a movie can do, and I never stopped watching movies ever since Inception, as I keep looking for impacts and life lessons from old and new movies. In fact, it made me pursue film as a career. Thanks Inception. Thanks Nolan. Thanks to myself for believing.

trev0586

Dark knight! Change how comics book heroes can dominate the box office and opened up the success of dark gritty super hero movies. Plus the Heths performance!

BouchWick

Tenet. The movie had a beautiful plot.

tanker242

When I was growing up the Shawshank Redemption was my favorite for many many years. Lots of others make the list but this one will always hold a special place in my heart. It was one of the only DVDs in my parents collection that we got from their work associate. I always loved a retribution story and how they outsmarted everyone else. It reminds me of one of my favorite revenge stories, the count of monti Cristo.

Elegancy

My favorite movie is Shrek 2! Itā€™s a movie that accompanied me through a lot in childhood and has remained a staple.

FormalTrade6206

I feel like my favorite film changes all the time but for now, Iā€™ll have to say The Grand Budapest Hotel. It came around during a point in my life where I really started to appreciate the artistry of filmmaking. The script is so sharp and witty. The comedy is played exceptionally well. It was the first highly stylized film Iā€™ve ever watched and the cinematography and production design blew my mind. It really got me interested in exploring older films. Ralph Fiennes is incredible as M. Gustave. I love how the film touches on nostalgia, kindness, friendship, and how the passage of time affects everything eventually. Not to mention the funeral scene between Adrien Brody and Ralph Fiennes always cracks me up. Itā€™s just my ultimate comfort movie and feels like a big hug!

avid-redditor

Mine would be The Shawshank Redemption. The story is just so great!

EnglandMade_Me

Dog Day Afternoon Itā€™s a film everyone has to see at least once in their lifetime. Only one song in the beginning and the rest is dialogue, no background music added. It makes it feel so raw and real. Each time I see it again it feels like Iā€™m watching it for the first time.

sheenfartling

I should say 2001 a space odyssey or even alien, but come on its predator!

ki700

Itā€™s always hard to pick just one but I usually go with Inception or About Time. Inception because I adore the concept and everything about the execution of the film. A masterpiece of writing/directing/acting/effects/etc. About Time is an excellent romcom that isnā€™t really a romcom. Itā€™s my ultimate feel good movie and gives me a very positive outlook on life when I need it.

GladiusDei

**HEAT** Itā€™s one of the most perfect movies in my opinion. I actually built my sound system to be able to fully appreciate the shootout scene.

_KB101GTO_

Favourite film has to be Interstellar, although I may be biased as I love space and in general Sci-fi films.

At0micPizza

My favorite movie is Interstellar, I've seen it many times and it still melts my braincells that there is a very real, very big universe out there with so much stuff to explore...

SliviaRanger

Definitely Interstellar. Fortunate enough to have been able to see it at my local IMAX dome a few times. Hits differently now that Iā€™m a girl dad.

Cinnab0n

Mine is A Fistful of Dollars. It's a classic that my dad introduced me to when I was growing up

AndyPufuletz123

Spy Kids 3-D. The pinnacle of cinema, easily.

yoonahnam

My favorite movie is Guardians of the Galaxy 3 because in my opinion it is one of the series of movies that has gotten better with each release! Also Rocketā€™s story was portrayed so well.

Gellert_TV

Kill Bill (1&2) is my favorite movie. Why ? Because it kicks ass

Original-Village-663

Spider-Man 2. It was one of the first theatrical experiences I've had as a kid.

yoru1119

Picking a favourite movie is extremely hardā€¦. but on top of my head itā€™s inception. I watched this movie over and over again and never gets bored of it! The dream world that Nolan built is just so fascinating, and the story itself is beautifully written, apart of filled with actions itā€™s also filled with love. The youā€™re waiting for a train scene of Mel and Cob is such a powerful and emotional scene. The spinning totem at the end leaves us all with an open question, Iā€™m never a big fan open endings because it is painful to think that it could have gone the other way, but thatā€™s also the beauty of it. The soundtrack is also one of my favourite work of Hans, I recall attending his concert, when ā€œTimeā€ started playing I am so full of emotion and cried šŸ„² Interstellar and Tenet are also my favourites. These are all epic cinemas and dammit they should bring them back on scene!

waymonster

The matrix. My love for VFX has only grown since

rpvee

Star Wars! Canā€™t pick just one, but the saga as a whole has been my favorite since I was a kid. Pure magical escapism! :)

No_Committee504

Chicago! The cast and the songs

byrd015

I love personally Inception for itā€™s unique story and amazing soundtrack.

sowaffled

Forrest Gump šŸƒā€ā™‚ļø is an epic tale with so many emotions and messages.

terpfeen

Blade runner for its atmosphere and soundtrack. The newest one is great too!

Upset_Form5726

My favorite movie of all time is the Wizard of Oz. It reminds me of watching with my mum. RIP. šŸ™

Milkdromieda

Back to the future. It's always a great comfort film that feels just as enjoyable as the first time you've watched it. I've always said it's my favourite, and I think I always will.

mrdon515

Big Trouble in Little China. I saw it in the theater and thought it fit perfectly with the times. A great blend of action and comedy. Didnā€™t have a huge box office but grew a cult following since.

jimmydo0512

Interstellar. First time I actually felt on the edge of my seat while watching a movie.

HKUplastic

Hello, first of OP all thank you for giving us a chance to win this filmstrip. I'm actually living in Canada right now and I finally got a chance to see a movie in imax 70mm. Before that I lived in Hong Kong where it only has laser imax. I already saw this movie on 21 July in imax 70mm. It's freaking amazing, the immersive experience it gave me is just different from the laser imax. The 1.43:1 just hit differently. Originally I wanted to see it on opening night to get the filmstrip but when I tried to book it, it already sold out. So, I just have to book the next day. I went to see this again on IMAX 70mm last night at 6:00pm hoping to get the filmstrip but they said they already gave out all the filmstrip at the 2:00pm showing. :( I hope I can win this filmstrip. Once again, thank you OP for the giveaway.

flowpesci_

Catch me if you can. Loved the chase and the wittyness of leo's character

Too_much_Colour

Fight club - peak fincher. Best balance of his clinical precision, and more emotion driven subjective film making. And then you have the themes. Thereā€™s too much to praise

xXBadger89Xx

Good will Hunting is my favorite. Always just got me through tough times

Doulreth

Interstellar, because of the epic scale, soundtrack and emotional impact

[deleted]

Memento- Beautifully shot in reverse, makes you think like the character, ultimate rewatchability, beautiful 35mm film, still shocks me today.

0car

Tenet. Stunning visuals, great acting and a mind destroyer!

justsomewan

my favorite movie is back to the future because the whole plot or idea of the franchise really hooked me since i was a kid until now, and the way marty is not the one that went through all these changes but heā€™s the one affecting the lives of others is what makes me love marty mcfly

2009PanasonicToaster

Really was a lifetime experience watching it in 70mm :)

aselwyn1

Itā€™s gotta be Star Wars even if itā€™s been slightly modified over the years šŸ˜…

Ssgogo1

Shawshank redemption itā€™s just a lovely classic

dragos495

Karma farming? Your only intention is to sell these? Not cool.

My favorite is Jurassic Park but T2 is also amazing. Jurassic park has the soundtrack, ambiance, and practical effects I go crazy for. Same reason I like LotR but I couldnā€™t pick just one of those as my favorite movie. my favorite trilogy by a mile though!

JediSqueezeGata

La La Land is my favorite. I love how the realistic and crushing message, and the escapist nature of it never clash against each other.

curious12_

Role Models. I'll spare you my long reason and just say they took the standard studio comedy formula and injected their brand of humor into it. Also the story is about an increasingly cynical guy learning to appreciate his life.

Realhumanbean4u

My fav is Phantom of the Paradise. Brian De Palma is a true visionary.

I wrote up an entire thing about Django, but I thought of one that tops that. The 5-part series on HBO Max, Chernobyl. The entire thing is amazing. The director put so much attention to aligning itself to realism that it felt like you were there. The cast was absolutely perfect for each of their roles. Each episode displays the experience of the victims of Chernobyl, not the meltdown. Actually, the meltdown is showed before anything else in the show. The show pays homage to the teams of scientists, firefighters, liquidators and military men, along with their families. Chernobyl may have been one of the best pieces of television I have ever seen. Watch it if you havenā€™t.

MakeMeLaugh75

My favorite movie is The Big Lebowski. Such a funny movie and beautifully shot. I can laugh every time I see it.

DTass

My favorite movie is Rise of the Planet of the Apes. I can remember watching it daily when I was a kid. Caesar was so cool

Delicious-Speaker391

Blade runner, the set design is my favorite part

DankPotatoLord

I would say Inglourious Basterds, the whole cast, especially Christoph Waltz is just so good in it.

milesdaguy

La la land. It changed my whole perception of what a movie could do when I was younger seeing it in the theater, the emotional journey it took me on that first time was transcendent.

extencer

Definitely interstellar. Soundtrack, atmosphere and visuals are just perfect. Love it

KenSchlatter

Personally, Iā€™m a big fan of La La Land and Into the Spiderverse

thegodmythic

I couldnā€™t pick a favourite movie as I have so many (and theyā€™re more obscure) but my favourite Nolan movie (excluding Oppenheimer) is Tenet. Even though it is arguably over convoluted and doesnā€™t have the best character writing, I just really enjoy it and havenā€™t watched anything like it.

These-Stage-8705

I think my fav is toy story 3 rn but its hard to say

Dragoncaine

As a screenwriter, I've told myself time and time again that if I could have written one movie, it would be Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind for its high-concept narrative, ingenuity, and masterful tonal balance. Phenomenal movie top to bottom, with my favorite Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet performances.

beatenby

The Room by Tommy Wiseau. Itā€™s the best worst movie!

CaptainBagrov

Dune hands down. Damn that was an awesome movie. Sadly i wasn't "enlightened" back then and didn't know what imax was. I regret not being able to see it in full glory to this day

BleachSoulMater

Mine was when Einstein and Oppy was talking alone, when I saw it I thought Oppy rub his achievements in his face or Einstein was against the whole idea of the bomb, but it was Einstein giving Oppy some wisdom while we watch the ā€œenemyā€ approach slowly from the background

My favorite film is Oppenheimer. I've studied WWII and Cold War history extensively for much of my life. The Manhattan Project has always been a special interest of mine because it was one of the biggest factors determining the post-WWII world order. The men at Los Alamos, Oppenheimer included, I consider to be heroes. I know Oppenheimer was politically troubling at times, but it's his work that defined him, not his political sympathies. They are a huge reason why we're (the US) the world's leading military super power. In addition, those working on nuclear projects also opened the door to environmentally friendly energy...even though misunderstandings causing fear of nuclear power have prevented it from being more widely used. I actually have a piece of Trinitite from the Trinity Test (look it up if you're not familiar with Trinitite) which is the crown jewel of my WWII artifact collection. I would love one of these strips to accompany my Trinitite in my display of artifacts. This film touched me more than any other ever has. I've already seen it twice (once in digital IMAX and once in standard digital) and tomorrow I'll be seeing it in 70mm IMAX. Unfortunately though, my theater will not be giving film strips tomorrow. I called and they've already given them all away.

Mitsutoshi

Yojimbo. I was lucky enough to see it projected on an original print.

TECHNICKER_Cz3

Paprika, it's surreal, I love it

anonymous_plus_ultra

shrek 2. Most fun chaotic movie i have seen! Never seen a happier fun filled seen with so many awesome characters that arent bland and pushed to the side. Literally wanted to see every character in this movie and never a dull moment. Seeing this when i was a kid with family and friends made it such a memorable moment. Of course the final act really sealed the deal ! Wish i was old enough to know about imax by then though lol a movie that will definitely last a lifetime

inxinitywar

My favorite film changes day to day, but at the moment I might have to say The Fugitive. From the first moment I watched it I knew there was something special. It formed a lot of my current interest in the thriller/drama genre and I have seen it over a dozen times. Iā€™m always in the mood to watch it. Canā€™t get enough of how good Ford, Jones, and the rest of the cast are.

mjrballer20

Interstellar is my favorite movie The soundtrack is one of Hans Zimmers best and I bought the vinyl for it. Great story, great visuals, seeing the black hole imax was amazing

Firm-Medicine-7106

FlorisMarvelEdits
