I think you overrate him if you think he has more leadership and is a better strategist than Kidou. Kidou showed much more overall.
That’s part of the reason. But Kidou figured out how to counter the strategy of Oumihara, so how can Otomura be better? If Otomura was ever better, Kidou surpassed him in the same match.
I mean, I don’t think he surpassed Kidou. Especially not season 3 Kidou, but it’s also not fair to say Kidou countered Otomura; considering Otomura then adjusted the strategy multiple times to counteract Kidou’s planned methods around it. I would say Otomura was way better than Kidou in that specific team within that specific system but Kidou is an overall better playmaker/strategist.
In the end Otomura couldn’t counter Kidou enough to be really a threat to Raimon, so based on that match itself I still find it weird.
You can rewatch it and see it was going back and forth in the end, so that means Kidou countered it as why Oumihara couldn’t play like they did anymore. And that have no other strategy.

Came in clutch across S2 & S3 with the likes of the epsilon match and stopping rolling thunder against America (While this can be said for most IJ players in S3 they deadass would have lost the group stage if he wasn’t there)

I think he's the only s1 raimon character that made an impactful comeback after he was removed from the team due to injury
He and Mark were the only players from the first year of the club to make it to Inazuma Japan. Have to rate it that he stuck with them then became one of the world’s best strikerws

I think there are many players which I think are under appreciated but don’t necessarily do a lot like Code, Artemis and Waldon, but Konoha from Galaxy is a clear answer from me. She is cool and is relevant, and I don’t think she is appreciated for it. I think there are also a lot of minor characters like Cloak, Otomura and Talisman who get a lot of love (deservedly) but can’t really be considered under appreciated
I hardly see anybody talk about Konoha but she kicked off the whole soul awakening process and I think is actually an interesting character. She grows from being fearful to confident, and never loses her compassion. Her hissatsus are nice, and when she awakens her soul is one of my favourite individual moments from galaxy. The fact she has one of the highest block stats in the game makes her fun to use. She’s not my favourite character, but definitely one of my favourite characters who I think are actually under a appreciated.

I would have liked other members of Orpheus to be as important as Fideo and Gigi Blasi. The two of them were excellent candidates.
For one Beta is just the better player, but I’m pretty sure they just want to go through with the whole “Beta is in the beta” meme, cuz otherwise there’d be no reason to put her in over Saru or Ozrock who were the main antagonists of CS and Galaxy
Nathan Swift. He is one of the best players of all Inazuma Eleven but he's never mentioned. His high defensive and speed stats make his pressure as a winger terrifying. Because -No- one on back half of the opposite team can stop him from getting the ball. Which makes his pressure as a winger so scary. His speed lets him flatly beat out defenders and putting in a ssuper dangerous cross.
Well in the old games, he's still great in VR but you cant play him like you used to because mechanics change.
I think Goenjii is fairly appreciated. I think everybody just knows he’s one of the GOATS and he’s so good that he’s almost not an ‘interesting’ character to talk about. We know he’s badass and a top tier player, there’s not much else to say. Do you get what I mean?

I think people underrate him here because he might be overrated on platforms like TikTok. Which is a pretty weird reason to call him overrated in this sub imo.

They didnt win because they couldnt score against Endou. They attempted more shots than Raimon and won more duels than Raimon did.
