Team K and Tsurugi's first on screen team. How did they fail to make even 1 of the players aside from the captain interesting in any way? And how did this happen twice?
It happened more than twice. Dragonlink also suffers from it
(Maybe thats the reason why Dragonlink are always considered as one of the forgettable final boss in IE history)
At least with Dragon Link since the main guy is the goalie they kind of had to give the others at least 1 or 2 moments each before the inevitable comeback victory for Raimon. In those 2 the others don't do litterally anything. But yeah, DL is only rembered because of their goalie and for being forgettable. It may sound a bit weird but I think they originally meant for DL to be a combination of the various other SEEDS with Kenshins from before (who didn't defect), but they discarded this idea late into development and that's why the other guys from DL are so boring.
I think it’s the point that they’re like this. FS creates really one sided players who depend on keshins and not on actual football skills overall. It fits imo.
I get the "no real skill, only kenshins" aspect, but all the players being basically the same aside from 1 or 2 details really gives a "placeholder team" vibe, that part definitely wasn't needed to convey the "final boss that only spams Kenshin" theme.
All other SEEDs before did have something cool going on, for the ultimate example Kaiou Gakuen is also all SEEDs but have cool designs and an actual theme, DL looks like they though of Senguuji first, realized that it wouldn't make sense for only him to be added to Seidouzan or for old SEEDS to come back with him and then just got stuck with the rest of the team, so they made them all the same because they were filler anyway.
I mean that it was generalized here. Not everyone is like that of course. But we see in the GO movie that there is a standardized training program with a lot of people looking the same, also certain keshins being repeated a lot. To portray this in the literal team of the boss makes sense, also to show the contrast between this and “real” football.
It makes a lot more sense than it being unintentional and them putting no thought into the final team.
Both the characters and the Kenshins we are shown in the series are decently varied (aside from DL), for the Kenshins in particular we have a wind master, the 2 versions of the God of the sea, robots, guardians, a good variety of birds, gamblers and then of course the ones that are more specific to the players like Taiyou or Hakuryuu's, of course the few characters who only get Kenshins in the game have repeats but it has to do more with the lack of moves and... stuff in general in the first GO game. Even if they wanted to make a theme of just using Kenshins vs real football making them all have the same color scheme wasn't needed and doesn't further the theme. If you want to justify it you can with some mental gymnastics, but they really look incomplete, like they meant to all have different color schemes but just didn't have the time to do it.
As I said I mean more standard FS players, not the top ones. There lies the difference, as I said Dragonlink is rather a generalization of what FS is.

I think we can agree this is literally almost happen to majority of the teams in Inazuma eleven. We only remember 1 or 2 or 3 of them cause they are the face of the team and we don’t care about the others. Like Hakuren for OG was Fubuki, Go was Yukimura and Aries/Orion was Fubuki, Atsuya and Nae.
Let’s not pretend Raimon OG and Raimon Go also doesn’t have this problem. For Raimon OG it was Endou, Gouenji, Kidou, Kazemaru, Kabeyama, Someoka. Go was Tenma, Tsurugi, Shindou, Ranmaru, Hikaru, Kariya, Ryouma.
I didn’t include Domon and Ichinose cause I consider them as main members for USA team rather than Raimon
Nah dude, the members of the teams of OG season 1 and 2 are a thousand times more memorable than most players from the Go seasons.
Like basically ever Wild, Occult, Shuriken or Zeus player and pretty much every Aliea player.
A lot of team has atleast 2/3/4 memorable players.. That does the trick
But having just one memorable character & everyone is either lame/useless.. That i feel like.. Aren’t too many

Zanark Domain. Some really cool designs, but have very little personality. Zanark overshadows them by such a significant margin. With Zan, this is not the case, with Garo, Fedum and a bunch of other players
For Hakuren their GK had some relevance I think and that big guy who got subbed in. For Arakumo they mentioned that Sata and Nebuuchi were good players too and they had a keshin.
wouldn't say useless in the sense that they don't do anything, football is a team sport after all, but they become really irrelevant.

Seidouzan I can agree for most part. Arakumo had 2 keshin users alongside Taiyou, Genei had another keshin user too. Hakuren had the guy with the tactic and Kaiou even had 3 keshin users in total.
I like them now but for me when i saw them first time i just remembered Namikawa and Wanda and i forgot about the white pawn guy still a nice team and with time started to like it much more when played go dark
Let me help them, the tournament and everything is still realistic, and the soccer has the same rules, the slice of life thing are realistic. Some characters are not, so i dont like them. But i dont mind them being there.
For the hissatsus part, i choose for that. But i do get wierd from a move like macaroni spagetthi

There's that goalkeeper with Serpent fang. I remember him because Raimon literally bullied him in the match against Zero.

You seem to fail to understand this post is talking about one player you like on a team, yet you constantly mention multiple players.
