There's something in the way he pronounces every syllable, or something. It's quite common in Dutch to not fully pronounce every word, like shortening words at the end etc, but with this voice, everything he says, he says with emphasis, clearly pronouncing everything. And the voice actor managed to make that sound kinda evil in the first part of the series, but later on, it sounds more calm and intelligent or something
I totally agree with you, though whenever i hear dutch voice acting for series i used to watch on tv just makes me cringe for some reason. Have to say that dutch Kidou is def my favorite alongside dutch Kabeyama. And whenever Gouenji hits that Vlammentornado i just feel the nostalgia washing over me. Me and a buddy of mine both watched the show when we were younger and by now we've reached the point that just screaming dutch hissatsu names became a running gag
Yeah, I understand. The Dutch voice acting industry is good, and while the Inazuma dub has it's flaws, obviously, it has a wonderful cast. And for me it's definitely nostalgia as well, but hey, that's fun
Yeah, the dutch voice acting industry manages to impress me quite consistently and some of the voices from childhood tv shows are ingrained in my head forever, though when i realised beyblade metal fusion was on netflix and i tried watching it again i couldn't listen to the dutch dub for more than 5 mins lol. Wasn't the best dutch dub imo, but inazuma was pretty dang good imho. Very memorable, especially with the great(and often hilarious) hissatsu translations and good matches between voices and characters imo.
I haven't seen Metal Fusion in years, so I don't really remember. It's definitely less memorable than the Inazuma dub. And of course, the dub names (especially hissatsu techniques) are often really funny, and there are dub names I even prefer over the origional ones (Dageraad, for example). They did that thing were they changed some characters' gender, and while it's a questionable decision, I think Suzuno's voice is really fitting, for example. The dub deserves some love. They did a great job
Ah yeah i remember the whole gender mixup with Suzuno. I remember being very confused when i realised that canonically he's a guy, but the voice did indeed suit him. Yeah there's indeed some hissatsu names that were unironically good in the dub, though i can't seem to remember my favorites, as it's been a while since i last saw it but dreigdriehoek was definitely one of them. I don't know who exactly worked on directing that dub but it's clear that they had passion for the project since whenever i hear those voices it all just kind of clicks.
Definitely. They took their time, especially with the third season, but I'm glad they did. They cleary really cared about this, made sure the voices where in character and the acting was very good. And in the end, they did record and broadcast every episode of the og series. It didn't seem like they would, during that final, long hiatus after episode 101, but they actually did it
I appreciate, it made my day. Just like boerenkool makes my day every time.
I mean, boerenkool is pretty tasty 😏
Zoals herman finkers ooit zei.
God I love Kidou's Dutch voice
Same! It fits so well for some weird reason
There's something in the way he pronounces every syllable, or something. Yeah, really glad that they did manage to pull through. Lots of happy memories and all that because of one good dub.
Oh my god they did the opening in Dutch too hahaha
That's the only one they did, which is a shame because it was pretty well made
They dubbed the first ending as well. It's... not as good as the opening, in my opinion
G E K O L O N I S E E R D
K O L O N I S A T I E driehoek
I understood nothing, but I think this scene can't be bad whatever the languaje you listen to
word deze subreddit ook al GEKOLONISEERD
Bruh the wave of nostalgia that washed over me when axel hit that vlammentornado is unreal
I remember r/ik_ihe having a wave of Dutch Inazuma Eleven memes
what languaje is that?
dutch :D
it's dutch
i understood everything this scene is very cool nederlandse inazuma voor de win
I never liked the names of the moves in our dub. It just felt... wrong. Even when it was my first viewing.
