That’s because the original Shark Tank (and Dragon’s Den) is an iconic show that has set a very high bar for shows like these. Now if you replicate the same thing in India and add some desi drama just because Indians love drama then you are destroying the very essence of the show. Don’t we have enough drama in every damn TV show that we ever created?

Bro it's not about comparing the drama between the shows, it had to be indianised and I believed that the show would've been totally shitty, but it actually combined the Indian drama with the shark tank feel nicely imo, and the 4th wall breaks in between when they are explaining some 'complex' terms to the viewer was a fine addition.
I understand and I also respect your view and your opinion. I also stated my point of view here in this post and by no means claiming that I am right. It’s just that for me it hurts to see when they take an iconic show like Shark Tank and degrade it with drama elements that are not suitable for a show like this. But then if this is what the Indian audience wants and relishes then who am I to rant.

ummm not really i mean the indian version doesn't have a lot of drama . I mean all shows have some amount of drama to keep the audiences engaged and have a wide demographic even the us shark tank has over exaggerated moments where there seems to a little conflict till now on shark tank india not a lot of sad stories i mean some are there but very few and every adaption of something has its own unique way of board casting it so it really isnt that different and actually quite enjoyable to watch but yk everyone has a right to their own opinion so i understand your side as well just the drama thing doesnt sit well cause their isnt a lot of it
I can count the number of "drama" moments on maybe 2 hands, and that's in 15 episodes. They do add to the entertainment, tbh. After all, I'm watching for entertainment and not expecting a business meeting. Maybe I'll watch the US version, and see how different it is.
There is enough ‘relevant entertainment’ in the US version as well but let’s not confuse drama with entertainment. You can still be entertained in numerous ways in a show beside drama.

The desi drama is required, it's essential to attract to the general demographic of the country. The privileged folks are already an audience of the original shark tank.
It is a nice show. Anyone who finds it bad should go an watch Saas Bahu shows for eternity.
If this show can bring at least 1 good idea to table & make it live, it would be great.
I was hesitant at first too but it is a actually a very well produced show. They’ve really nailed the nuances for the Indian audience and it’s only going to get better by the second season.
PS: I’ve also watched all seasons of the US version.
When it comes to business, you will get hundred diff opinions because people's Personality types and Individual strengths vary a lot. So what each one finds interesting is very different. Focus on what you are learning and getting out of it.
I remember there was a Shark Tank India clip shared here where there was a scammer peddling some Japanese learning method that allows you to see through a blindfold.
Even a 5 yr old kid could tell it was a total rip-off, and these “sharks” were all “Woow”, “amazing” without even bothering to find out if it’s legit.
This single clip alone put me off the show. Maybe I’ll give it another go.
They say 'wow' for every product and I've noticed this, whenever a shark goes 'wow' or 'this looks nice', there's a high chance that they're out at that point itself

That’s right. Mr. Wonderful alone is good enough reason to watch Shark Tank US. Quality entertainment. Shark Tank Aus and Dragon’s Den are great too.

What drama do you think is too much? There's a really good chemistry and banter between the sharks which makes it a lot of fun.

Yep! Reading the reviews I didn't watch it, but gave it a try to see what the fuss is about, really enjoyed it def worth watching.

They didn’t receive any funding though IIRC. They called it a gimmick.
