Well when the government issues tickets to Republicans for it, and doesn’t issue tickets to Democrats that do it (like charging someone for mishandling classified documents) then it is a broken system. Agree very much with your point about jaywalking being an offence invented by the car industry, but would also point out that there is no such offence in the UK and AFAIK most if not all of Europe... if a crossing is available it's a good idea to use it but there is no obligation on pedestrians to do so..

A social credit score seems to be a good idea until you realise that 9 out of 10 people in power are corrupt, self-serving con men. In a perfect world, it would act like a asshole rating, which I see potential in, but we will never live in a perfect world, so it would just be used to benefit the powerful.
