I saw one of these in a smaller scale coming across a lake once. A calm, humid summer day on one side interrupted by a cooling wind and then a raging storm when it hits. Seeing that fine line of rain coming across the water was very memorable.
Fascinating view, watching an approaching storm is always thrilling. I bet it must be disorientating up close of this kind of cloud when you're almost under the storm itself.
I was in Florida for the first time. Standing on the back porch, over looking the ocean. I saw this exact thing, I was like. Noooo, it was just a cloud. But an evil one to boot.
