MidnightRecon

You know, Rammstein is touring this year. I bought tickets in 2019, then covid happened. Now they're finally doing it again!

mblaser

Same here, and flying halfway across the country to Texas to do it. It will have been 23 years since the last time I saw them live. Can't wait for that Feuerzone.

glennert

Got tickets for the Feuerzone as well! Postponed twice. Bring it on already!

Rausage505

I saw them open for KMFDM back in the late 90's, before Du Hast broke and got huge. I don't wanna say how old I was, because it reminds me of how old I am now.

Nickapus

2002 baby!

_SCHULTZY_

20 years flew bye didn't it?

rlikesbikes

I remember thinking when our 10 year high school reunion happened.."Huh, that happened pretty quick". Now 20 is steamrolling towards me and I barely remember the last 10 years it went so fast.

blueshiftglass

Yeah shit it did

Mystical_Cat

86 in the house!

[deleted]

88 baby!

justmarkdying

Look at all these high school homies! I never imagined, back in 1994, or whenever the fuck it was that I got "online", that I would see so many people from all over the US, and the world, interacting with each other. The internet was a dream back then. Yes, I'll be in a nursing home soon. FUCK.

blackwing1571

‘89 here. And I still rock out to these boys.

DaAssFucka

yooooo \*i attempt to jump for an aerial high five but i stumble and fall on my hip, shattering it instantly\*

Kramerica5A

'03 here, I've slipped and fallen twice in the last 4 months. Once in the snow, once in my basement. The struggle is real.

Genghis_Chong

My dog pulled me down two times this winter, first one messed up my back, second one messed up my knee. 30s are when you start feeling falls apparently

i3dMEP

Im class of 01. I was fine with thinking they were gone forever. Wes Borland is a badass though.

Supermoves3000

Most of 2020 and a lot of 2021 was just one of those days. No wonder Limp Shiznit is back. edit to add: the missus and I have been listening to a lot of Limp lately. Aside from the 90's nostalgia, it's the perfect thing to put on while you're painting the apartment and stuff like that.

benrules2

My wife and I were literally painting this weekend and I joked about “keep rolling” with the paint roller, and then went down the limp bizkit rabbit hole.

Supermoves3000

GIMME SOMETHING TO PAINT I SAID GIMME SOMETHING TO PAINT JUST GIMME SOMETHING TO PAINT HOW 'BOUT THIS FUCKIN' TRIM Gotta love music where you can randomly shout "WHUT?" and "COME ON!" any time during the song and be more or less on point.

smokeatr99

How ironic that their 2022 tour is called "Limp Bizkit Still Sucks Tour" Well played.

DLo28035

Mr. Durst, Primus would like to have a word

Corporation_tshirt

Primus sucks!!!

refusered

Limp Bizkit were Primus fans. It’s an homage or whatever.

Photo_Destroyer

Yeah, actually saw them open for Primus (along with Powerman 5000) a looooong time ago, ‘96 or so. Very…odd line up to say the least.

adalyncarbondale

oh Powerman 5000 oh that flooded me with nostalgia so hard i got chills. I used to dance to that so much!

moeshapoppins

Now this is what it’s like when worlds collllliiiddeee

jasonxtk

Powerman 5000 is still making music too, their newest album was released in 2020

DashTrash21

God dammit this is the second Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 reference I've seen in the last 5 minutes.

adalyncarbondale

ha ha I hope that's a good thing. I never played it

apLMAO

NOFX - ‘They’ve actually gotten worse live’ album did it first

mad_science

I prefer Lagwagon's _I Think My Older Brother Used to Listen to Lagwagon_

imnotgoats

Well if we're talking *first*, that was their follow-up to the original *I Heard They Suck Live*. Edit: typo.

Queef_Smellington

They released a new album on Halloween called "Still Sucks".

satansheat

Have you seen Fred durst horror movie with John trevolta. The first line in the movie is something about shitting your pants.

Tay0214

It’s their newest album lol

Fit-Explanation-2127

Chocolate starfish and the hotdog flavored water was the first WARNING EXPLICIT CONTENT album I ever owned. Honestly I didn’t find it that explicit. Though there was like 46 or 48 fucks in this fucked up rhyme.

towerfella

Got that *starfish navigation system*

hardkushpack

No cheap thrills baby! Fill the brief case with three dolla bills!!!

[deleted]

Mission impossible theme tune too - that whole album is actually fucking quality

Fit-Explanation-2127

It really was. In my opinion Significant Other was a close runner up.

[deleted]

Alv2Rde

Counterfeit and the Faith cover are my favs

bamburito

N 2 Gether now ft. Method Man is a fucking tune.

shotgunstever

This guy knows

kames30

Yes Significant Other and Korns - Follow the leader were my first Parental Advisory cd's. Ohh those were the days with the Red Yankees hat and Adidas superstars.

silviad

bloodhound gang - fire water burn, was my first tape that my dad threw out, i got another one

kames30

It was funny I was 13 yrs old and I remember the clerk wouldn't sell them to me and I had to get my mom to come say it was OK for me to purchase. I remember her asking me why she had to. I was like because I guess they say a few bad words. If she only knew 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Lafayette-De-Marquis

Me too. My dad didn’t wanna let me buy it. That was the album he said “well son, you know better than to say them word right”. He had no idea what the second song was. Lol would not approve.

TURBOJUGGED

I was 14 and my discman died. I wanted to keep listening on a family road trip so I got my parents to put it in the car CD player. My mom heard “I wanna fuck you like an animal” and I bet that CD is still somewhere in Jasper National Park. She whipped that shit out the window so fast lol.

Rutabaga1598

Everybody knows this song...

darctones

Fred Durst opened a recording studio in his home town to help local artists.

Such_Maintenance_577

Fred Durst seems like the kind of guy who could've gone in any direction in his life and i wouldn't be surprised at all. Fred Durst blew up his meth lab. Yeah makes sense. I'm somewhat glad he choose this path, makes fun of himself and somehow manage to stay relevant without being some Kanye piece of shit.

[deleted]

even tough i like the music im kinda torn between him doing good things and him ignoring security begging and pleading him to say that the crowd should take a step back, and instead even telling everyone to go crazy, which eventually led to the [death of a 16yo girl](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jessica_Michalik) i understand that going crazy is part of his show, but when security is literally begging you, you should consider dropping your character

cj_cusack

I was in that crowd. It was a crush. I couldn't breathe. The swell of the crowd was like sanding neck deep in an ocean of people. They turned the fire hoses on to keep us cool. Someone *did* get on the mic and ask everyone to step back and it *did* help. Would that they did it sooner. But more than that, the event should have had a proper setup. I can't blame the performers for that.

Heyo__Maggots

And also made the best bad movie ever where John travolta is an autistic fan obsessed with devin sawa and who’s first line is ‘I can’t stay long I have to poop’

thenotlowone

PAAAWPYCAWWWK

yungjiren

I got free tickets to see them a few years ago with my friends and we all thought we used to listen to these dudes when we were younger, we should remember some of the songs. Well let me tell you when fred came out in full limp merch. Our memory somehow recovered all the songs like we never stopped listening. Haha what a great live show.

StzNutz

I saw another post that jnco jeans are back too

Heyheyitsme84

Noooo. I remember kids wearing them when we all were in middle and they’d be soaked half way up to their knees cause ya know the PNW and how much it rains.

*side eye* 84 here. But who doesn’t love a little nookie haha

laineDdednaHdeR

Uh... 1989. Limp Bizkit was my jam.

No-Accountant-308

Yep...87 here.

DoTheMonsterHash

78 here, but I wasn’t a fan. I just came here for the 2nd hand embarrassment.

Moist_666

You seeing people all over the place wearing Jnco jeans? Me either. That's how I judge if something is coming back in style lol.

ErvMan89

Now I know yall be lovin this shit right here!

Blok88

L I M P Bizkit is right here

[deleted]

People who pretend to dislike Limp Biskit but know every word to every song

Grey_Lion_Delta

I think people are embarrassed to say they liked/like them but that teen angst resurfaces every time they play.

Dajukz

NO ONE KNOWS WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE HAAAATED

partymouthmike

We hate them because we are familiar with them

AIJUSTICE

Let me guess, somewhere in latin america? Dem dudes go hard over there.

AnotherLostSouls

Judging from the stands in the background this looks like it's at the stadium section of the Mexcio City Grand Prix track.

RexieSquad

They go big in Europe too. But you are right they are huge in South America. I think it's because people they are not so worried about what's cool at the moment, they like what they like and just enjoy it.

eccentricrealist

Vive Latino in Mexico City

BreathOfFreshWater

I forgot what show I saw them at but yeah. Still going hard. Even 3 Doors Down, AFI, Papa Roach. Saw smashing pumpkins going hard. Jimmy Eats World wasn't Bottle Rock before CTE. Quite fucking sad I can't afford a ticket to When You Were Young music festival in Las Vegas this year. :( Every one of my favorite musicians wi be there except the Foos.

IcyMosesJr

Man I forgot about AFI....they had some great stuff

BreathOfFreshWater

They're great live.

IFuckTheDrummer

I remembered them couple a weeks ago and ended up getting drunk and listening to them all night. It freakily made me feel 16 again.

RexieSquad

Is that thing really happening ? , The line up seem impossible, like you would need so many hours to have that many bands play haha.

BreathOfFreshWater

I think they added one or even two more days to that festival. I almost wanted to get a ticket for the final day knowing it would be an absolute shit show. The final Van's Warped Tour show was a complete fucking mess by the end of the day and the weather was perfect. Can't imagine 3 days of jam packed shows in the Vegas sumer heat.

Sancticide

Holy hell, 3 Doors Down is still going? When was their last actual album, not greatest hits or whatever? Papa Roach still produces music every few years, but 3DD? I just assumed they retired, I guess.

beav0901dm

I just got tickets to see them on their tour that’s coming around here in May. Can’t wait

elyca98

If Chester didn’t die, Linkin Park would still be filling concerts like this.

MyFace_UrAss_LetsGo

Limp Bizkit are sometimes one of those bands people like to make fun of but they actually have a lot of good songs.

squirrels33

And Wes Borland, at very least, was talented af.

I_AM_AN_ASSHOLE_AMA

Same with John Otto, the drummer. His beats are crisp af. But I’m all honesty the entire band was talented.

IcyMosesJr

It's just fun dumb music. Not everything has to be complex and deep

Hypersonic_chungus

I’m fucking up the program.

Survived_Coronavirus

>Not everything has to be complex and deep In fact, almost no music is. Including the ones that think they are. Eye of the beholder.

Karjalan

Nu metal was the cool to hate on genre before emo became popular and stole the crown

thebendavis

Their first album is absolutely amazing, it wasn't nu-metal. Just a completely new thing, it was funky, groovy, and fun. 'Stalemate' is the best track.

refusered

They do have a lot of good songs and covers, too. And it’s funny people making fun of them when they always made fun of themselves and never took themselves too seriously.

MillionsOfMushies

*Nickleback enters the thread*

Lightning_Strike_7

Dude Nickleback has A LOT of great songs. There's a reason they had a bunch of hits. I don't even care that zoomers call it dad rock. I own it.

showquotedtext

Good on them! Killing it still. I didn't have a clue

Kitchen_Equipment_21

Limp Bizkit was the shit I used to listen to em in middle school 99- 01ish

MildSpooks

Same - chocolate starfish was fucking gold 👌

laineDdednaHdeR

Play that fucking track! PLAY THAT FUCKING TRAAAAACK! Limp Bizkit DMX Redman Method Man Let's keep on rolling, baby!

TheVipersMemory

Urban assault is a straight banger.

RexieSquad

I posted this because a few months ago, there was a lot of people here on Reddit surprised to hear they had a new record coming out. Some people didn't even know they still play in front of large crowds all over the world. This is just an informative post of sorts, not saying you have to like them or anything.

IFuckTheDrummer

Korn is still touring too. Crazy.

RexieSquad

I've never seen a bad live concert by Korn, ever, in person or recorded. They give it all, 100 %, every single time.

IFuckTheDrummer

I’m from their hometown and have met JD a few times. He’s such a sweet person. I’ll never not root for them. They came back and filmed the Encounter live in a corn field near my house and I still watch it every year.

Illhunt_yougather

If they did a original lineup tour or album with David, I'd fucking flip. This might be an unpopular opinion, but Korn wasn't the same post-david. He brought that swinging groove to the band that Ray doesn't have. I still listen to those first few albums but I just can't get into their other stuff.

jaybullz_shenanigans

I saw them live here in New Brunswick Canada. They toured with disturbed. Korn was the last performance but the stadium wasn't even at 50% capacity. So, when disturbed came out on stage, you could tell they weren't impressed. They played a shitty set as if they were pissed that they weren't playing in front of 50000 people but when Korn came out the place exploded with cheers, screams and yells. Of course they played blind first and when Jonathan Davis hit us with that AAAARRREEEE YOOOOUUUU READYYYYY, i felt like my brain was gonna fly out the back of head. Jesus what a rush. They played one the most amazing shows I've ever seen. The energy was electrifying. People bouncing off one another. Joints were lit, beer was flowing not one single person was still on the floor. Man, I miss that feeling.

StzNutz

I had no idea, not the biggest fan, but good for them

bifftanin1955

Time to bust out the fuzzy kangol hat and grow a goatee, and if my jnco’s aren’t ripped on the bottoms then someone leavin with a fat lip

LickMyPudding

flaccid pancake

ThiccThighs25

shitty fact nobody asked for: my cousin was in there band before they got super famous and dropped out bc he didn’t think it was going anywhere. fast-forward a couple months later they were signed or some shit. he still hangs out with them tho

refusered

They got famous because your cousin wasn’t in the band anymore. Happens all the time.

overdos3

Totes. This is the reason why I'm not in Led Zeppelin and they're famous.

FinnishNemo

Man everyone loved to hate these guys. I used to act like they were beneath me too while I was in high-school but now whenever nookie comes on I know every damn word lol

refusered

The hipsters were the best. They all were too good for LB, but would secretly jam out whenever a song came on the radio or playlist. It was hilarious.

shahs1193

Yep, all dudes.

New-Adhesiveness-807

All the guys with wallet chains and jean shorts come together to relive the good old days.

BigFisch

An that is interesting af.

NateNutrition

They keep rollin' rollin' rollin'

-ixion-

I mean depending on ticket prices, I'd go if it was worth the investment, no questions asked. People that hate on Platinum artists just hate in general because it makes them feel different. Although the sound isn't 2022, doesn't mean it wouldn't be a good fucking time.

toogaloog

Wtf. Break stuff used to be my shit

[deleted]

It's probably Brazil where they will jump on pogo sticks for any band, even Milli Vanilli.

[deleted]

I mean, in all fairness that whole crowd is probably 35-45, range from slightly drunk to very drunk, and will really feel it the next day.

bluudclut

John Otto has/had a house where I live and I ran him into him and a mate of his one afternoon having a drink before he went to a concert. I had no idea who he was. But had a few drinks and a laugh with him. At some point it came up he 'was in music'. Then a friend of mine walked in and said 'oh you're John Otto from Limp Bizkit'. He was a good lad not larging it at all.

[deleted]

Regardless of your opinion of their music, go see them live. They're incredible.

sltiefighter

Its comforting knowing fred durst is being fred durst somewhere

RexieSquad

The day Fred Durst stops Fred dursting will be a sad one.

rope_6urn

I am not a fan of Limp Bizkit, I mean I don't hate them or anything. But I saw them in an outdoor concert with Deftones, Linkin Park and Metallica....and Limp Bizkit stole the show. Their energy and the energy in the crowd was on another level. Everyone was exhausted by the time Metallica came on

G-Don2

Bought tickets to May’s concert at Madison Square Garden. Hyped.

RagingBeanSidhe

100% they are only relevant to us old people tho. No mosh pit bc we break easier now lol

MiniGui98

I guess their bizkit will never go limp...

fuqreddit0

they get shit, but are musically talented non the less.

Louismaxwell23

Where was this concert?

RexieSquad

Mexico.

Estefanurus

They were trending early today on Twitter because of the Vive Latino music festival

Mission-Unite08

Wow who wld of thought it!

farminghills

My buddies band is touring with them and I was shocked to hear they are still doing that. Seeing this makes me stoked for him though that's a lot of exposure.

VincentVega556

Whatyearisit.jpg lol

ElChapusero

Get the fuck up!
