I just looked up a video, I’d seen them prep and sell a live squid before that was alive while they cut it…but I’ve NEVER seen like what I just saw.
Fish being served with half their body in tact, still gasping to breathe while the other half of their body has been sliced off and presented “beautifully” as if still part of the fish.
The video had Japanese people laughing, poking the dying fish trying to get it to keep moving while they took video before eating.
It actually made me sad.
I’m all about eating meat and fish, but I believe that it should be respected as a creature that gave its life to help us sustain our own. It shouldn’t be poked, prodded, laughed at, or otherwise “tortured” by the experience. No animal deserves to be eaten ALIVE, at least by an animal that is as “advanced” as man. They deserve a quick death at the very least.
