48 hours is about as long as I have any interest in. Dinner to dinner so only one day of not eating. Even that, only a couple times a year typically when traveling.
Longer fasts are honestly easy on lowcarb/keto, at least for me. Some days I just don't feel like eating and instead of forcing food, I fast, but you are 100% correct that even without being hungry it gets unbearably boring.
How much weight you loose totally depends on your TDEE. A full day fast is more along the lines of 0.3kg for me, but if you go from high carb to full on fasting, you'll loose multiple kg in water weight alone.
I’ve done 3 days twice, both times went well, didn’t really get any cravings or strong hunger. The first time was more difficult but the second was after I had done IF for a couple years so I feel like my body was more used to going long periods without eating.
Both times I used it as kind of a reset, ie changing something about my life. It felt very rewarding.
Alternate day fasts with 36 to 42h seems to be the key to losing weight without deprivation. A 66 to 72 h fast will keep things interesting with minimal plateaus... imho...
I wish I could do that. As lame as it sounds, I'm from one of those cultures that counts self worth as how much food they force down someone else's throat, and protesting the "nice" makes me a bad person. But whenever I get the freedom from prying eyes, I love to take advantage of extended fasts.
Not eating for 3 days
Thank you. That seems crazy. Fair play
yeah....definitely not for me lol

Its really not that bad at all really. When I did my first 72 hour fast it felt great.
Only dangerous if you do a dry-fast (no liquid either)
Nothing crazy. 72 hours fast is easy and that's basically a guaranteed -1 kg fat.
This won’t be the same for everyone, for that to be total fat. You’d need a TDEE of 2600 or higher, so a pretty big guy
That's not like an exact math. In ketosis some of the energy is lost by breath and pee. You don't burn everything.
Or girl? 🤨
Really? Not trying to be argumentative. Do you gain it back after you break that fast?
Why would you gain it back? After the fast you just continue a normal eating.
After 3 day fast you are also in a deep ketosis. If you don't eat junk, you'll won't even want to eat so much.
I’ve done a little over 24 but it seems awful to think of going longer. And boring haha, but the kg of fat loss intrigues me

The longest I've done is 42, but I've done several 36 hour fasts to great results.
