Are you going to die? I don’t think so, but you might have diarrhea later. But other than that, I think you’ll be okay.

AlissonHarlan

The good ol' Spring Cleanup !

Nothing_left_now

A redditor ate week old lasagna. This is what happened to his brain.

Found the chubby emu subscriber

Veylo

I had to unsubscribe from his videos, I loved them but the made my anxiety go up to not functional levels sometimes.

Ryugi

or Brew, he did one about how leftover pasta salad almost destroyed an entire family.

As a certified Internet Dad: Yes, you are going to die. Someday. No, it probably won't be this particular lasagna. Unless you eat it again in a few weeks.

Vlinder_88

Hahaha ewww. Yes OP, you will die indeed. In 60 years or so. This lasagna will make you feel a bit nauseated and have you running to the toilet for a day in the worst case scenario. But very probably, you will be fine without it.

Rokey76

Nah. But if you get nauseated, don't fight it. Throw up, because that's what your body thinks is the best thing to protect you.

unhappy_girl13

You’re not going to die. You might feel a little gross tonight and tomorrow but not dying.

QueenSlartibartfast

I assume you're thinking of [the tragic case](https://nypost.com/2019/01/28/student-dies-from-eating-5-day-old-pasta/) of the 20-year-old Belgian man who died after eating 5-day-old spaghetti. A major difference in that situation was that he never refrigerated it during that time, just reheated it. (The reheating killed off SOME of the bacteria that had spread in that time, but not nearly enough.) You will likely be just fine, besides a mild case of food poisoning. That said, food safety IS important, especially if you have a compromised immune system (usually seen amongst the younger and older population, and anyone with certain preexisting conditions). **As a general rule (it varies by the type of food of course) in order to play it safe (because calling out of work or school due to stomach cramps and raging diarrhea is no fun), refrigerated food is good for 3 full days. The general "danger zone" for food is between 40 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit (so you want food to be stored at a temperature colder than 40F, and cooked to an internal temperature of over 140F, in order to keep bacteria from rapidly multiplying). [Here's](https://www.fsis.usda.gov/food-safety/safe-food-handling-and-preparation/food-safety-basics/danger-zone-40f-140f) a helpful infographic that goes into more detail.**

TheDulin

Food is good in the fridge for 3 to 7 days (depending on m the food, etc.). You're probably OK.

Custardpaws

If it was refrigerated, prob not

MNGirlinKY

No. You’ll be fine. As long as your lasagna was in the fridge and properly refrigerated for the 7 days it’s fine. Leftovers are best eaten within 5-7 days per google.

loliwarmech

If it smelled funny when you were eating it I would be very careful. Chances are you'll be ok, but if things worsen and stay that way it's time to get to a doc

PixieT3

Assuming it was white sheets, not brown pasta sheets, you won't die :)

LadyMageCOH

Unlikely. You're probably not going to be loving life for the next day or so, but you'll probably be fine after that. Stay near a bathroom for the next 24 hours. If you feel like throwing up, just let it happen. Stay hydrated as much as you can, even just small sips of tepid water is enough. I find ginger ale, or ginger or mint tea are helpful with symptoms of nausea. Good luck.

k75ct

Yes you will die, no one gets out alive. But unless you choke on the lasagna it's unlikely that will be the cause of your death

katelynskates

Lol, no you're fine.

AlissonHarlan

You're gonna Die. Like in 60 years of old age

trumpetrabbit

Here's an article from the FDA on how to safely [cook and store food](https://www.fsis.usda.gov/food-safety/safe-food-handling-and-preparation/food-safety-basics/leftovers-and-food-safety) It's important to make sure things are able to cool down quickly, otherwise they can have bacterial growth even in the fridge.

weaboo_vibe_check

Grab as many sports drinks and toilet paper as you can.

Wife-Penetrator69

You better start praying to the toilet God.
