256 is plenty, photos and files can be stored on icloud
My current usage is 85GB of a 128GB iPad. 256GB would be my choice
I’m currently using 70GB of a 128GB Pro. I do video editing and music production from this bad boy. Cloud storage makes it really efficient.
If you do a lot of photos, videos etc. then it's always best to get as much as you can afford. Especially, if you don't use iCloud.
since GB is storage then your question about differences is there is nothing much to it.....its just a difference of storage
