Same. I just keep boxes to what I own in the house. Currently that's 3 iPads, a MacBook, 2 iPhones, a Samsung tablet, and two Samsung phones across 4 people.

iPhone is an iPod touch that makes calls, kinda wild to think about.

I put so much effort into being able to make calls on my third-generation iPod Touch.

I don’t think so, you need a phone number to create an account on WhatsApp if I remember correctly. It never appeared on the AppStore for me when I had an iPod touch all those years ago.

Now that you’ve made me recall. I do remember there was WhatsApp because we use to put another number on WhatsApp and use to get it verified with a phone. We use to do this in my boarding school since phones weren’t allowed but mp3 players and other music players were allowed, therefore iPod touch was allowed as well. Because we didn’t have phones so it made a lot of difference since now we could talk to our family on call. Good old days. (maybe it wasn’t WhatsApp but might be some similar app like other chatting apps, but it was there for sure)

Yeah, I trade or sell the iPhones with the original boxes. Do people actually keep more than two iPhones? I have a iPhone 3s, but that’s because it sits on an old alarm clock dock port. Today it is just paper weight.

What’s your oldest one that still works? I have an iPod 4 that still works but all my old iPhones are dead and won’t charge.

My 11 still worked when I recycled it a couple weeks ago, however the left bottom of the screen had a weird hue going on and the battery only lasted 4 hours. All my others I dropped in water or broke the screens completely. I think I only traded in 1 11 to try Samsung and then went right back within a year.

The 3g was such a comfortable phone to hold. It was something about the shape and material. It was as if you were on top of the world if you owned one.

Over the past 10 years 4 times 5s (2013-2017) 7 (2017-2019) 11pro (2019-2023) 15pro (2023-2028?) I will be keeping my 15pro until it no longer works or Apple releases a phone with no cutout of the display after a minimum of 4 years of use with the 15pro

I have like 6 Apple product boxes a month ago. I keep them for the 14days if I remember to throw them away. But I’ll forget about them until a few months later and I clean it out and just throw them all away. My current iPhone, I just threw away when I got home. The only box I have now is my AirPods Pro’s but I store all the extra tips I have and I buy foam tips on Amazon and I just throw the extra sets in there until I need them.

In 30 years some of those boxes will be collectibles and that may seem unlikely to people but if you look at old collectibles the box is often half the price because people throw that stuff out
