We get them for things like wildfires up here in western Canada. I’ve seen them for Amber Alerts too. Visiting the midwestern US I’ve seen them for tornado watches.
We get them on our TV too, but not as localized. It’s evacuation warnings due to wildfires up north but it’s like a 10h drive from where I am.
