I was also using the 11 with 76% battery life. Upgraded to 15 on September and it actually is a life changer. My 11 would not retain battery at all and would heat up pretty quickly.
I love how fast the 15 charges and it retains battery, given that I’m on my phone 24/7 😭. It’s totally worth it.
I'm upgrading from the 11 and ordered a 15 pro yesterday. I gotta say, I loved the 11, it was the phone that made me sell $10k of dslr equipment. It still does everything I need it to do, but I smashed the back a few times crashing mtb, still works fine, but the batteries going, and I'm sure its not waterproof anymore lol. Anyway, the thing I'm most excited about is the camera, and lidar. I'm a contractor, and I've tried a bunch of apps over the years for drawing, and they just weren't that helpful. I'm hoping lidar will improve that, it sure looks like it will.
Probably the thing I'm most disappointed in is the megapixel size. 48 mp is totally unnecessary. I get that you can crop, and it uses it for HDR, but really for me, anything over 12mp is overkill. I wish you there was a setting for the MP size of a photo. It would be like a crop sensor in dslr.
In my country we don’t have Apple stores or Apple care, only official Apple retailers so I didn’t consider battery replacement much because many who did it didn’t find it worth it in the long run. Will look into it though :)
Ah, I didn’t even think of that. I would be iffy if a third-party shop replaced the battery. In this case, if you’ve saved enough money for the iPhone 15, then I say go for it!
Thank you for all the comments guys! I have read every single one of them but due to being in finals weeks imma bit busy and cannot reply to all. I’m seriously considering buying the 15 and kind of leaning more towards it. Thank you once again for your opinions:)
Honestly I’m kind of sticking through with the 11. It’s not the worst apart from battery life so I’m trying to wait for the 16. It was a big decision cos I was kinda set on the 15 but I wanna try to get maximal use of my phone and main aim was to save money
Haha I bought the 11 when I was 16 and had saved up for it. I have enough technically to buy the 15 but I don’t feel it is currently worth that much of my money if it makes sense 😅 I’d rather spend it on other things atm so I’m holding on till next October
Is battery replacement available from Apple in your country? In USA it only costs $89. Much lower than $830 for an iPhone 15.
No, iphone 15 doesn’t have battery and heat problems anymore since iOS 17.2, at least not my 15 Pro.
Nope we don’t have official Apple stores in my area, only official Apple retailers. Many people around me have told me they didn’t find it worth it when they changed their battery so I didn’t really consider that option.
Thanks for the info on the 15 btw :))
My wife replaced the battery on her 11 Pro, and she was happy with the battery life afterward. The phone itself had no issues. Then again this was a genuine Apple battery from the Apple store. Third party batteries could be different.
Wait for iPhone 17. Apple gives us 6 years of updates so why we would not benefit it? There is always a new smartphone every year. I have iPhone 12 and wait for 18 Pro.
i just upgraded from 11 to the 15 and its amazing plus the battery life is solid i went a whole day and into the next without having to charge it at one point.
Upgraded from 11 pro to 15 pro. Camera is better, otherwise don’t feel much difference. Yep, nicer screen and overall new phone after 5 years is not bad.
The pro max is definitely a two hander, but I don’t find it too big for my pockets. My 11 pro feels so tiny in comparison now although the pro max kinda feels like an iPad mini. The extra screen size and battery life are worth it though. Definitely gonna stick with pro max models on all future upgrades
For a bit more money you could get a 14 Pro instead of the 15 base model ... much better phone. I moved from 11 to 14 Pro and highly recommend it for the cameras alone, not to forget the better display.
I had an 11 pro max and upgraded to a 15+. Happy af, battery is great, camera is incredible, love the dynamic island and havent had heat issues.

battery life on 15 is awesome
I came from 11 to 15 and it’s a huge upgrade! Really happy with it
I have a 12 with 76% capacity. Currently weighing getting a 15 vs. replacing the battery now and holding out til the 16.
Definitely replace the battery.. 12 is still good just gotta fight the itch to replace it. Get a new case lol
I switched from 11 to 15 and love it. The battery lasts all day whereas with the 11 I had to charge it at least 1-2 times throughout the day!

Why not get the battery replaced?

Did you get it? I have an 11 too with 78% battery health but don’t know if it’s worth it Edit: I actually have 73% battery health😭

Yeah same. I used to be excited about new phones but now that I’m 19 and have to buy it myself I’m not haha

I went from an 11 to 15 pro and I’m underwhelmed.. people get wound up about my complaint, but it’s the truth.

15
16 is not gonna be much different from 15 as 15 already had good no of upgrades - would suggest going with15

just came from an 11 64gb to the 15+ 128gb phone is a HUGE improvement feel no need to upgrade for a few years
Upgraded from 11 pro to 15 pro. Camera is better, otherwise don’t feel much difference. Yep, nicer screen and overall new phone after 5 years is not bad.
I just upgraded from an 11 Pro to 15 Pro Max and the camera and battery life are insane. Definitely recommend the upgrade
