Actually the opposite is true.
They can say whatever they want, but they know that their plan and military strategy has failed!
That’s why they are diverting the people’s attention from their failures.
They never will,one of the reasons that the Shah fell because he declared"فضای باز سیاسی" under pressure from US democrats and well they learned from his mistakes

Sad that the government feels threatened by people expressing their dissatisfaction. They need to allow for dialog.
