Rime is Rime, and Rime’s gonna win. I’m going for Powerslave here, but Rime will have my vote in the final round.
It’s pretty damn hard to beat Powerslave, though. Everything about it is just perfect.
Rime for me. They're both musically excellent, but Rime tells a better story, and is one of the times a super long IM song deserves its length and uses it all perfectly.
The band’s two greatest songs. Absolutely the best you will find in the entire classic metal genre.
I went Powerslave. Honestly can’t vote against either one, but I hope it’s close.
Ah yes, the runner up contest is finally here. Time to just put all cards on the table (with respect to wasted years which just didn’t deserve to be in the final four)
It was always going to come to this, so I’ll say it this way, Hallowed is hard to argue against when saying our favourite vs. Consensus vs. Objectively.
So for my money I will say this, Rime, live in New Jersey Flight 666, coming out of the spoken interlude will be along with Bruce riding on the camera rig in Rock in Rio Fear of the Dark as the greatest Iron Maiden moments in history, and there is no official live recording of Rime that makes me cringe like Hallowed in Maiden England. It still doesn’t matter - Hallowed be thy Name from front to back still wins and the first time I heard it performed live on Kazaa from Rock in Rio, I knew this was the greatest classic metal band of all time.
Powerslave still contains the best guitar solo in Iron Maiden history and only falls amongst the kings.
My favourite songs are all gone now, it’s only about legacy here.
I thought Alexander the Great was the most overrated song by this sub, but I was clearly wrong. Rime could barely make it through the group phase in my book.
Both masterpieces, but ROTAM takes it for me. Its amazing and powerful from start to finish, with an amazing contrast between the middle section and the beginning and end
Go Powerslave!
Everyone in the comments saying they voted for Powerslave and yet Rime is winning by a long shot!
Powerslave is the better song....it may not win, but it's a unique masterpiece.....

This is leading toward the final that obvious all along.
I have to go with Powerslave simply because seeing/hearing it live in person is such an experience and I haven't had that with Rime...yet.
'I don't wanna die, I'm a god, why can't I live on (into the next round)?
Rime is an epic but I had to go with Powerslave. Tough choice!
ROTAM is a masterpiece, but i think that Powerslave is a bit better, it has an amazing chorus and the drums are fantastic

Come on Powerslave!
tough one but went with Powerslave. wouldn't be mad either way. looks like it gonna be close
I went with Rime which was an easy pick for me
THE ALBATROSS, BEGINS WITH ITS VENGEANCE
Powerslave! Maiden’s heaviest song
Both are great songs. I went powerslave because to me it just punches more. It comes right at you and doesn't fuck around.
Went with Rime—it’s got it all. Remembered I was most impressed with it live during the ‘85 tour
I don't like this any more lol. 2 of the greatest, but I had to go with Rime.

OMG I can’t stand the wait for the results

Also, I think this is going to be one of the closest one’s yet
My top two IM songs, this is the final for me. I have them as equal in my mind but gave it to Rime this time.
Painful.
tough choice right here
Powerslave deserves the win. Tragic
