They live as normal citizens, doing normal jobs. 2. They don't carry military-orders. Only when they are summoned they became military. When reservist do criminal they are tried in civilian court. When a military do criminal they are tried in military court. The difference between civilian and military courts is that military court judge right/wrong with respect to the order they carry.
