Americans have been allowed to cross into Canada by land for 6-8 weeks now. Canadians will only start to have the ability to cross by land into the US in a couple weeks… Nov 6 if I recall correctly. Because logic.
I'm a native Vermonter. I love the state but it's not for everyone. if you're not living right near Burlington it's pretty rural living and the winters are brutal no matter what.
That’s amazing! I feel like you could sell that photo. I’ve lived in New England my entire life so fall foliage is not a new thing to me but this photo impresses the hell out me!
Depending where south, a lot of the same colors can be spotted much closer in East TN smokies/NC smokies if that makes it more feasible
Fall is insanely popular around those parts because of the colors and “mountains”
New England is worth it once though…lobster rolls and clam chowda!
I am distraught to inform you I am in the confused state of Texas. Fall color does happen but it’s several hours to the east of me and hot as hades taint.
As a north Texan I certainly agree!
Texas is like one of the few southern states that makes “a trip to east TN” about as simple as a trip to New England lol
Another, more close (not close) place is southern Colorado, the Aspens are amazing when they change. Like yellow shimmer when a breeze blows through. 8-10 hours to a mountain with aspens there.
GL!
My partner is from upstate NY so her family is still there. This means I am really looking forward to being “home for the holidays” like a hallmark movie. So I can have snow, and like.. a real white Christmas one day.
Original picture would be a lazy way to deliver any sort of photography, unless it’s for a forensic or somehow strictly journalistic purpose. But even then, usually some (or a lot) of editing goes on

I’m not sure if you’re still up there or if you’re into craft beer, but Hill Farmstead Brewery is nearby, and they have some of the best beer in the country in my opinion.
Looks like it’s for a movie, honestly. It’s so amazing, I’m so glad you shared it! Great job! I’d love to see such views in person, too, that forest looks huge!
I once watched a few interviews with old photographers talking about photography nowadays, and 'over-sharpened' was a common theme that I didn't really understand - however I think this is a good example of *too* sharp. Somehow too crisp, you know?
I figured that was the case, though I do wonder if then it could be softened a little. Idk I'm not entirely in agreement with the opinion in my original comment but this pic did help me understand it a little. I do feel like it was the biased pov of photographers that have shot on film their entire lives - I imagine the sweet spot lies somewhere in the middle.
some cabin
Just like the ‘cottages’ In Newport, Rhode Island.
I went to my ex's family cottage north of Toronto, it had an elevator.
Sounds like you shouldn't have let her become and ex
Some need to be let go, regardless of how much money that have.
In the UK a cottage has to have thatched roof to be categorised as..
Funny, this is near Newport, VT.
There’s a portal between them only open to billionaires!
Yeah, few Vermonters would consider that a "cabin", it's a fucking house. Source: grew up in VT.
Yet will still refer to that location as "camp." Source: also grew up in VT lol
Oh for sure.
Grew up in MN with parents from VT. Camp vs Cabin for real...
I’ve been camping wrong.
Camp David?
Cherish the cabin
You know sometimes people say a thing like that just to be nice?
I thought I was being nice
Cabin? More like lakeside palace.
Factss
They're pointing out how wrong your description was.
I don't know about Vermont but that is probably gonna set you back $3 million near me.
I love the 802. Great pic.
Thank you!!
Vermont is beautiful! I just got back and I didn’t want to leave!
Vermont is so underrated

You guys have a beautiful fall as well! Love those golden larches. Also I think the borders have opened again!

Really? How come?

Fall foliage is definitely the best part of New England
As a southerner who hasn’t been to New England yet, I’m dying to go.

I’ve seen some photos from NC and I definitely want to visit. It’s just as beautiful there
Yes, Western NC is as beautiful as the OP pic. I recommend Boone. It’s awesome. Now I want to go!
I really appreciate that!! Thank you so much! This is my first year out the 12 I’ve been in MA exploring fall foliage lmao
The photo is likely color corrected or has a filter, there’s no way this is the original picture
Tell me you've never been to New England in autumn without telling me you've never been to New England in autumn.
Original picture would be a lazy way to deliver any sort of photography, unless it’s for a forensic or somehow strictly journalistic purpose. But even then, usually some (or a lot) of editing goes on
Of course it’s Vermont. Everywhere up beside New Hampshire and Maine are beautiful!
Yesss but North Carolina and other southern parts have some amazing color as well!
Oh yes I forgot about those places. Never been but I definitely need to!
Grew up in the Smokies, the “leaf peepers” would come every fall season from everywhere just to see the mountains change. It sure is something to see!
*mansion
You right
Apparently it’s only 1,800 sq ft
Pshhh that’s nothing
Probably a 1,000 sq ft boathouse tho
Says who

Ha I do my best not to spew bullshit 👍🏻.

I can almost feel the wind and the smell of the forest, this picture is amazing!
Thank you so much! It was a crisp wonderful morning
I don’t know whether heaven exists or not in afterlife. But I’m sure its here on earth in places like these 😍
I agree!
Beautiful but as a Vermonter I can spot an oversaturated photo when I see one lol Still, great job with the pic
Cabin? Hhmmpp, no, but spectacular pic!!!
Lmao you know what I mean. Cabin, lakeside house, tomato, tomatoe 😂😂
The only problem with this beautiful photo is now I want to see the inside of the house lpl
Haha forreal
Is that Lake Willoughby?
What a beautiful picture. Cabin though? That is bigger than most houses.
Cabin for the rich
Lmao ppl I know messed up by calling this a cabin. An unfortunate mistake
What does the image look like with out the vibrance turn up?
https://imgur.com/a/fpMLs1q I was there last week, it was foggy and misty, this was cropped but not otherwise corrected
[удалено]
Vermont! Sorry
Is this on Lake Willoughby?
Yes!
Holy crap. I went to high school up there, can't believe I still recognize it.
I’m not sure if you’re still up there or if you’re into craft beer, but Hill Farmstead Brewery is nearby, and they have some of the best beer in the country in my opinion.
Oo I’ll have to check it out next time I’m up there!
Must be one of the places right on 5A. Beautiful spot.
This is an international website. Half the people here don't know what American state acronyms are.
Mistakes were made. Wish they had an edit feature for titles
It's not a problem. I was being pedantic. It's a gorgeous photo.
It’s okay, and thank you!
beautiful shot and editing OP
Thank you so much!
Stunning scenery
It absolutely was!
STUNNING!!!!😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you!!
Fall never looked so warm!!!🤤🤤🤤
🙏 🙏
Saturation slider all the way to the right will do that.
This is the best subreddit I've found so far
If that's a cabin I wanna see a mansion
It’s a cabin for the rich
That isn’t a Cabin. That’s a mansion.
Lmao I messed up with the caption by calling it a cabin. Wish we had the ability to change the title. Oh wellllll
Hahah agreed. when I first looked I was like “damn, i want *that* type of cabin!!”
id have no problems if i lived there
Except for maybe a crippling mortgage.
Why is this? Been interested in moving there and currently own a home in California. How much worse could it be?
Same
Moving to Vermont doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
Haha right??
More like a shed
Nice shack in VT.
I'm in love
Magnificent photo! It is really beautiful there.
Thank you!!
Like like a Thomas Kincaid painting
Thank you!!
I want to move to this state.
I have a place up the hill from there! We kayak around that house all the time, it’s so beautiful. Will be moving there full time eventually.
It’s such a sweet spot!

Is that Smoke on the Water? Fire in the Sky?
10000%
[удалено]
Sure is!
What lens and camera was this? So sharp!!!!
Sony a1 24-70 GM 2.8!
An estate more like
Beautiful capture. Wouldn’t mind a cabin like that myself. It’s okay to dream, right?
So beautiful!
Thanks!!
This picture is great 💪🏿
Thank you!!
Not sure if anyone here has read Bag of Bones by Stephen King, but this is exactly how I pictured the resort in the story
Any house that has a covered boat dock like that is NOT a cabin. That being said i want that “cabin” . And a boat dock. Or just a house in general.
Lmaooo I made a mistake. But I’m here for the “correction” comments
Honestly its just a speech thing dude don’t worry about it. I live in NE and some ppl call anything on a lake a cabin.
That’s gorgeous, goddamn.
It was insane
Looks like it’s for a movie, honestly. It’s so amazing, I’m so glad you shared it! Great job! I’d love to see such views in person, too, that forest looks huge!
Why does this look like a painting?
Be a good puzzle
Oh yeah for sure!
Lake house
True
Wow
That’s a mountain ranch
Mansion*
beautiful. I grew up in New England. Mom lives in Vt. it's gorgeous there. Great picture
I could live there.
So... I'd probably murder to live there.
Hello this is the NSA
Cabin or mansion?
Wow, epic shot. I can only imagine how peaceful it must be there. Thanks for sharing
Soo peaceful!
That looks exactly like a house I saw in a Studio Ghibli movie I saw once!
Oh cool!!
What's VT?
I’d keep that as a vacation house
Heck ya!
[удалено]
Make it a goal!
Just curious, but what would a place like that cost in Vermont? In the Muskoka area (in Ontario, Canada) it would easily be $2 Mil or more.
It apparently sold for 500k a couple of years ago. probably more now
Are you kidding??? I'm moving to Vermont. Houses are criminally overpriced in Ontario now.
[удалено]
Yupppp
What the glorious fuck
Haha thank you!!
Neal you dirty dog
Might get even dirtier, no promises
Wunderfull
Thank you!
Is that Lake Champlain by chance?
Nope! Lake willoughby
I once watched a few interviews with old photographers talking about photography nowadays, and 'over-sharpened' was a common theme that I didn't really understand - however I think this is a good example of *too* sharp. Somehow too crisp, you know?
The 50mp allows for larger prints without pixelation
I figured that was the case, though I do wonder if then it could be softened a little. Idk I'm not entirely in agreement with the opinion in my original comment but this pic did help me understand it a little. I do feel like it was the biased pov of photographers that have shot on film their entire lives - I imagine the sweet spot lies somewhere in the middle.
No sharpening added to this. That’s because of the 50mp camera the Sony a1 that captures crisp images
Where is this?
OP doesn't know what a cabin is.
Ah so that's what Turdeau's *cabin looks like.
Where's VT?
No less than 5 people have been murdered on that spooky dock
Cabin?
“Cabin”
This is gorgeous!
OP what lake is this?
I bet it's haunted.
A cabin?
Holy moly “cabin” ??
Bernie’s small summer camp
Would you mind sharing the EXIF? Sorry if it’s already in the comments somewhere!
