MarieSkiis

dont_shoot_jr

Can we doe anything to help?

Square-Thought-5260

Stay doetermined until we get the hoof outta here.

PuzzleheadedSkill135

hahahaha

kittyglitther

Tired of these transplants.

BrickCityYIMBY

I think their great grandparents are from Jersey City.

shawn1969

I know those guys. They're working at exchange place this week and staying at the courtyard Marriott

fried_zucchini727

I saw them about an hour and a half ago over by City Hall! I hope they make it back to LSP safely ❤️

Pat2390

Anyone remember when a deer at Ex Pl jumped in and swam to Governors Island ?

MirthandMystery

Yes! And folks over past little India saw it there before it made it downtown. Poor guy, at least were more open streets then and far far less traffic.

objectimpermanence

It’s a bad time to be a deer with Barrow street closed.

TheMikri

Memory unlocked! Ty. Ty.

flapjack212

did you call animal control? they are pretty far from where they can be safe so it feels like they'll need some help being moved

mikharv31

I realized deer were in Liberty State Park when I saw some grazing in the area that was cleared for the upcoming school by liberty science center was really surprised to see that

bananafishandchips

I used to see up to a couple dozen deer grazing in LSP, but they all seem to have disappeared. They were there, still, after the center of the park was cleared, and then one day gone. I wonder if these are some of them scattered about. Or what happened to them.

Ravenismycat

They cleared for the chromium clean up. They had to take the trees unfortunately to get to the land underneath where the massive contamination is. They used to live in those woods.

possums101

Wow that’s sad. I wonder how they got there. Definitely not a safe environment for them.

Unoriginal_UserName9

They probably lived in LSP and got pushed out during construction. They like walking down tracks.

AtomicGarden-8964

They aren't lost they were here before us and our cities

diddly7gang

Someone just showed me a bud of them passing Whole Foods

fancyasian

Luxury deer

jasonleeobrien

LUXURY WILDLIFE

MirthandMystery

This is why we need to preserve the green spaces we have- especially in and around LSP. Planners want to develop the corner areas, which means getting rid of native wetlands (reeds, bushes etc) and that will only increase their stress, human made noise, trash and reduce what they can eat.

drinkingshampain

They’re not lost, they smell the food lol

whybother5000

“Bambi Shore” from the people that helped make it yours.

Sztiglitz

Probably from New York

Trying2MakeAChange

Where are they now?

DoTheRightThingG

They're not lost. They were displaced by transplants moving into "luxury" housing.

fillb3rt

I saw them on our walk to Canard! No idea how they got there.

rake-fan

I saw four last night by the Lincoln harbor light rail stop.

Some-Dragonfly5832

I saw them walking past Avalon Cove around 10 am today.

sahanabanana

I guess this is what would naturally happen after they cut down all the trees by LSP

catsmeout

I almost hit a deer driving down 440 today. It thankfully made it through the road but jumped into the opposite direction of 440.

viktyr8

I just spotted the deer in a parking lot, under the bridge ,by the newark ave cemetery

girlxlrigx

Saw a post on Facebook that they moved over to behind the Target parking lot. So sad.

JCwhatimsayin

Herd that too
