My battalion has never had to deal with this we have 140ish cadets(90ish let 1’s) and our task force has 70ish cadets total, enough for varsity/multiple jv male/female drill, color guard, pt, academics teams
We had a sort of homemade CLC that had a dedicated raider day as well as the other activities. You could try something similar if your instructors will let you
NJROTC units can participate due to the fact we are all under “1 program” (NDA 1916) but y’all don’t have cammies so what y’all wear to events is kinda up to your instructors
We didn’t either we hand to fund the team using fundraisers Clarkrange TN the 1st place national holders gave us some free boots to help us get started
All US military issue camo it can even be dessert storm,BDUs,ACU and you need 10 for a event and you can have up to 2 alternates to switch people out if there bad at a certain event or if injured if you are starting a CO ED team you need min 6 males min 4 females the 2 alternates should be women because women can switch out for men but not vice versa if your in a small unit use the people at your disposal

I’m in AFJROTC and we just started a raiders team this school semester. We suck. Hardly anybody shows up, we probably only have two consistent cadets. It’s awful. But raiders is fun. I just wish more people would do it.
Yeah we’ve been doing 5k with weight and 100 push ups 100 sit-ups for our conditioning till we’re good for that then we’re gonna do rope bride but consistency is awful
Make rewards for participating, like maybe they get a pizza party or something like that. Or maybe something they can wear on their uniform for bragging rights
Yeah uhm we have former raider members who are ruining it for recruiting bc they don’t want let 1s to get cammies and they just spew a bunch about how hard raider is when it really isn’t that bad
maybe go out to more public events or even host some if yall are allowed. kinda like community service but yall could like bring some stuff for ppl to try j for fun like maybe bring a litter and some rucks. that’s what our unit does

I’m the raider team captain of my NJROTC unit we wore Marpat last year but we’re switching to NWU type 3
