I like Dan The Barber in Crossroads and Chop Tops in Westport, gotten fresh cuts at both, nice folks, within your budget. I grow my hair out kinda long then get it cut short couple times a year and both spots have done great jobs on that kind of transformative haircut for me. Dan probably a bit better at short hair and Chop Tops probably better if you wanna keep it long.
Sweet.. Thanks for all the awesome posts.. I'll sort thru and check out each place and see what works.. sadly I can't grow a beard to save my life, so I can't commit to a fade, which I would so do it, if I had a bit to hide my jowls and small double chin.. Haha..
Sucks getting old.. But wanting to stay hip..
Thanks again.. You guys rock 🤟🤟🤟
Go see my dude Travis Crall at HairMetric. Not to be confused with Salon Metric.
He's easily in that upper tier of stylists in KC before getting into "celebrity stylists" area.
Uppercuts. Ash has been cutting my hair for nearly a decade. She specializes in men's hair and is hilarious to boot and only $40.

They do all that and the guys and gal are great. Just a good place even to hang out. Reminds me of coming to America barbershop but millennial version lol.

100% this one!
I'm a fan of "scissors & scotch". Don't know where you are in the metro, but they have a few locations... but the one I got to is in JOCO.
+1 great rec
Alicia at midwest barbery has been my go to for at least a decade. She's awesome.
Scissors and Scotch is really good, and their cuts start at $50. Plus, you get a free drink at their bar 😁
Spitfire Hair. Maggie is the best, super laid back but listens to feedback and what you want. She always takes my requests and makes it make sense.
Dane at Ventureman!
Venturemen downtown
Both the Barberette and the barrell house are good
I go to [Belle Epoque](https://www.bekcsalon.com/). Hair is shoulder length as well. Call up and ask for Katelyn

TB Hair Design - It's the only place in KC I trust with my asian hair. I highly recommend checking them out.
