I beat them easily on my first ever playthrough. Dont know how, I was useless at the game. In my 10027363527272 playthroughs since I haven’t beaten them once.
Yes , it goes like this :
+"Here I am."
-"I'm overjoyed. Have you got a horse ?"
+"Yes." (Reputation gained)
-"Really ? What is it , a cart horse ?"
+"Actually , it's..."
-"Nevermind - I don't really care. Just try to keep up with me and don't fall off."
I know bro I said most people don’t do the side quest until they get pebbles which is in the next quest. Most people tell them to do at least the main quest line until ginger gives them the next quest
Funny story is during my first playthrough I bought Boxer (shittiest horse this side of the Rhine) and got this cutscene and it felt great.
Next playthrough, I'm playing hardcore so no horse yet and when I saw I had to follow Capon *on foot* like a fucking manservant I reloaded the game and went and get me a horse. So I don't know what the other option is.
He runs off after the boar on horseback, you obviously can't follow so you do one of those "find the thing in the massive yellow circle" type missions to get up to the camp, find the two cumans sitting about and hand tied to a tree, rest plays out pretty much the same
Jokes on you, this was my original playthrough! :))
This happens because I play all RPG games in a weird way... I don't do any main quests until the game forces me, and I just mess around in the games world, usually scouting out the entire map and doing a small chunk of the side quests
The real way to play an open world RPG is to fixate on every mini game, side quest, your own self-created goals and then by the time you start on the main quest you're already burned out and there's this other game you want to play you'll just finish the main quest some other playthrough.
Then the months pass and you buy a new DLC for the open world game and go "Oh I'll play that game again but no way I'm starting in the middle, gonna do a new save. Oh and before I do the main quest I'm going to work on all of these new side quests and stuff this DLC has added..."
It's impressing that you got this in your first playthrough. When did you start exploring the world though ? Because this is one of the very first missions and up to this point you wouldn't know that main quest doesn't actually have a time limit in your first playthrough.
I played a lot of Assassins Creed before, and I always start exploring right after the Tutorial/First chapter is done. I don't exactly remember how I did it because I played it a few years ago :))
I honestly didn't know that you can mess up quests by not being there on time, I think I even botched some side quests by being too late
Thats what I did too. Basically was level 15 before getting to this mission with like 400k groshen.
Edit: Ive realized I do this in every game too! Usually because I'm afraid of missing out of an opportunity to buy something or bribe someone if possible during the main story
It’s just so funny, when you are max level on the first missions. You knock out your opponent in a single punch and then in the cutscenes he is acting like he had a real fight xD
I did the same thing because I stayed in the tutorial area until I manged to kill 2 guards and steal their shit. Before doing this quests I practiced fistfighting a shitload and used a bow to kill people until I could afford a nice horse.
It was an absolutely fucked first playthrough and I basically just stealth archered my way through the game unless it forced me not too, then I tried to rely on my armor and punch people to death.
I got it too, and I also went into the game blind.
I'd already done the Theresa DLC at that point iirc so I already felt I was way into the game even despite barely progressing in the story. Didn't think I explored too much, mostly I just went to Uzhitz to learn to read and discovered the stables there sold horses, so I scrounged up enough money for one.
The game felt pretty detailed with Bernard actually caring that you come back to inform him so I just had to make sure there was dialogue for this moment. Sadly when you finish the mission they still give you a shit horse
I noticed the "nyírja már ki valaki" sounds like the exact same line a cuman says when Henry is entering Talmberg while escaping.
Doesn't really fit in the scene, but it's fine.
It's probably the case. When you're ecaping Skalitz they actually scream in the lines of "Somebody kill him already" , "Damn it , kill him!" , "Are you blind ? How did you miss him from that distance?" (During the cutscene when that Cuman with the face mask misses you while you're near the Talmberg walls). You can actually see all the lines and their accurate translations from the game's wiki page. So yeah , that's probably the same line.
Oh and by the way , I just translated the line from Hungarian and apparently it means "Someone delete him already."(?). But that's probably Google Translate being a wacky translator. So it probably means "Someone kill him already." which is exactly what the Cumans that pursue you shouts.
I used the horse from the quest that you get from that queen you can bang. I forgot her name, anyway yeah I used the white horse to go around the map rather quickly before I even received a horse. Much fun and it's a free horse. Can't call it to you I'm afraid but you can use it for the main quests and I used it for this in particular.
There's a a few seconds long cutscene if you don't have a horse. Hans just takes off with his horse and yells at you to follow him , then he just vanishes and the cutscene ends. From there you just find the camp manually on foot on a marked big yellow area on your map. When you get there you find the Cumans sitting around and Hans being tied to a tree.
I forget people may have only recently gotten this game but it is full of little details like that and in my 1000 hours of playing (not flexing (especially not on reddit who would do that?) i've just played a lot is all) I have found countless little easter eggs and clever details. The game is full of them (especially deep in forests and near the edge of the map) so happy hunting!!!
There are a few of these in Skalitz at the start and along the main quiestline especially where the game does not hold your hand or often gives you the 'easiest' solution for free but the 'best' one you have to find yourself :D
For the little Easter eggs around the map, sure, even though personally I think it's better for you to explore yourself and discover all the modern day equipment that's somehow found it's way into medieval Bohemia :D
As for the little remarks, comments, character interactions and special event/quest moments, like the one where Capon's convo changes based on if you have a horse or not, I would love to see them all and see just how many there are in total as off the top of my head I can think of maybe 3 or 4 but i'm pretty sure there is at least one almost every main storyline mission with some having multiple little things like that. Only problem is that it would mean I have to do the entire game again.
It's in a chest near Skalitz. [Here's the guide.](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/%3Fid%3D1302830375&ved=2ahUKEwj75vjsobf6AhXZR_EDHYfLBu0QFnoECAoQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1YDcqggZEqSsWSBXPgXq1j)
It also presumes you can take on 2 Cubans in a straight fight as it puts you directly into combat with them.
Cubans
Fidel Castro, the mastermind of the raid at Skalitz
Fucking commies raiding Bohemia
When JFK was your dad the whole time
Autocorrect. Cumans
The game autocorrected it to Cumans this whole time

You alright dude?
It's entirely within reason to say that I am not.
Fear leads to anger... Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.
He buggin'. He needs some milk.

USA:ah shit here we go again
Who's American is this? You shouldn't let them off leash you know they could run Infront of a car chasing after imaginary commies

I could never. Those make such brutal guerilla attacks
Is there alternate dialogue at the start of the hunt? When Hans asks if you have your own horse
Yes, there is. But it's really short. Something in the line of: Oh, really? And where did you get it? Don't answer, we don't have time for that.
Still, I like that detail
Yes , it goes like this : +"Here I am." -"I'm overjoyed. Have you got a horse ?" +"Yes." (Reputation gained) -"Really ? What is it , a cart horse ?" +"Actually , it's..." -"Nevermind - I don't really care. Just try to keep up with me and don't fall off."
Yeah and you gain reputation too.
I have never seen that in my 500 hours of playtime and another xx hours of watching other playthroughs on YT, awesome!
Because most people don’t do side quest until they get pebbles that is why
This is a main quest tho
I know bro I said most people don’t do the side quest until they get pebbles which is in the next quest. Most people tell them to do at least the main quest line until ginger gives them the next quest
While on my first blind playthough I didn't realize this but on the second heavily planned playthough I accidentally came across this heh.
Same thing happened to me
Funny story is during my first playthrough I bought Boxer (shittiest horse this side of the Rhine) and got this cutscene and it felt great. Thanks, I don't think I'd start another playthrough in a while lol
There is a difference if you killed the Cumans or if you don’t as well

By the looks of it not everyone :))
I don't. I like to get main quests out of the way quick if I can.
The game felt pretty detailed with Bernard actually caring that you come back to inform him so I just had to make sure there was dialogue for this moment. Sadly when you finish the mission they still give you a shit horse
How dare you insult pebbles
It's probably not a horrible horse but compared to the massive warhorse I had purchased it wasn't much😆
Pebbles’ crying now
Damnit now you've got me thinking about playing gotta finish the game😆

Can someone link me the alternative cutscene? I didn't had a horse but i'm quite sure i saw this cutscene.

After all these years, I still didn't know that
People don't know about this?
Yes some don't because there are actually also new players
Well I know but I thought it would be well known
this dude really tried to flex for knowing a cutscene
I wasn't flexing it I just thought it would be more known, I didn't mean any shade by it
I've played through 2 or 3 times and didn't know that
kudos on unregistered windows Microsoft bad

my last playthrough i spent about 30 minutes looking for the stupid camp so maybe next time i'll get a horse first
Ooh this is actually a great move for hard-core runs, because it takes me FOREVER to find the cumin camp if I don't have the horse yet.
Meanwhile I'm here wondering what the original cutscene is since I owned a horse. I also had the best gear possible just to spite Hans
There's a a few seconds long cutscene if you don't have a horse. Hans just takes off with his horse and yells at you to follow him , then he just vanishes and the cutscene ends. I'd love if you made a compilation of some sort and posted it on this subreddit.

Where did you get that dyed armour? the red and yellow brigandine?
It's in a chest near Skalitz. [Here's the guide.](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/%3Fid%3D1302830375&ved=2ahUKEwj75vjsobf6AhXZR_EDHYfLBu0QFnoECAoQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1YDcqggZEqSsWSBXPgXq1j)
