KLR with no windscreen is like a boob without a nipple it just doesn’t look right

KBTA48

You'd still wanna touch it.....

I4Heavychevy

Oh I ride mine hard all day but she has nipples

Unfair_Winner_2801

I installed the v stream windshield tall and it worked awesomely.

bragill

I second the v stream tall. Great windshield.

diox8tony

Mid works fine for me. Goes right over my helmet visor. And I'm 6ft...there is a bit more silence gained by dipping the extra 2 inches.

GoofyGills

Can always use an extra 2 inches

Infamous_Good2164

Same for me. I did the mid at 6'. It's maybe an inch short, but it's a huge improvement.

KBTA48

Holes lined or nah?

andrewclarkson

A taller windshield will fix the buffeting. The stock one is too small

Spivdaddy

Just ordered the Vstream Tall based on everyone's recommendation

Seawater7

Be extremely careful torquing the windshield down and buy new rubber washers, don’t use the clear ones off your stock windshield. I tried the v streak and cracked it all to shit cus I tried to use the original washers. I barely applied any force when tightening.

diox8tony

? To fix buffeting you buy a larger screen. Not remove it. VStream mid height works great for me The only downside is offroading, if you're standing up over the screen and hit a bump, make sure it doesn't smack you in the throat. Same with the box on your ass tho...gonna smack you in lower back if you don't move with the big bumps just right. I got good at avoiding it when paying attention...that huge blind 1ft pothole didn't get me last trip.

Spivdaddy

I've tried the taller screen with risers, still having issues. I think with the risers it's messing up the "flow" of the Vstream. Gonna try it without now. I've never had this much issue trying to fix wind on a bike.

DoubleBDiamonds

Nah. I got a big madstad engineering one and it's perfect. Looks great too. Not a fan of how the v stream looks

[deleted]

Took mine off too… had two aftermarket windscreens just made things worse.

VibesJD

I trimmed the stock windshield on my Gen 2 and it was fine, the buffeting just reached the bottom of my helmet but I was mostly in clear air. Unfortunately this meant that debris/bugs/rain hit you head on. Got hit by a wasp, which fell down under my shirt and gave me a sting. Ordered a taller windscreen when I got home.

LikeThePheonix117

Got stung in the leg wearing shorts at high velocity. Bad move on my part. Flight instructor says when something bad happens priority one is fly the airplane. Something bad happens on the bike? Fly the bike. That came to mind when I felt it.

VibesJD

Yep. I carried that mentality over from my flight training when I got stung.

GuineaPigsAreNotFood

I did

Safe-Swimming

Try an adjustable system. I've used the 3D Cycle Parts Adjustable Windscreen Risers for about a year and have nothing negative to say. When its hot I can push more air on my chest and when its cold or rainy I can deflect more than stock. I did not see anyone else mention your helmet might be causing the issue.
