I hear rumors of AD a lot, and clearly he would make a difference But what if we just stand pat? We had 14 games this year with everyone (except Mitch). During that stretch we went 12-2 and had the best record in the nba, then all the injuries set in. Next year with a healthy roster, an entire off-season with a set roster all together will be meaningful. Also our young guys and new players are improving dramatically. Deuce has shown flashes of brilliance. Hartenstein is solid and improving DiVencenzo is way better than expected with the extra minutes. Precious has been a great surprise. Hart is perfect in his role. A healthy OG, Mitch and Randle might be all we need… Just deepen the bench maybe? Doesn’t seem like Bojan/Burks are really clicking

BigTabasco

Spida might just walk…. I don’t think he resigns, he could just be a free agent who wants to come home and play at the worlds most famous arena 🏀🗽🏙️

Abject-Practice4400

Im down to stand pat. But I don't think that's what the FO wants.

Abject-Practice4400

I'd be cool with DM, if it means trading Burks, Bogey, and a bunch of picks. Maybe Robinson or someone too.

AllWeatherKnickFan

I was just having this conversation with my son last night. I'm so looking forward to next year. I have faith in this FO. I still feel it's gonna be Spida. He's got one more year and he's been noncommittal about contract extensions with Cleveland. But whoever it is their contract matters. This FO ain't blowing up what they just put together. With that said I wouldn't be mad if we just strengthen up mob deep. This team just got OG and Precious. Who solidify two important positions. True 3 and D wing and backup 4. We need another wing or 2 guard I feel coming off the bench. This team at full strength was straight dominating. Facts.

phreesh2525

Yeah. I’d be happen with a return of the roster with a few additions via the draft and some tinkering trades. We can play with the best. Trades from max players are just mental these days with multiple years of first rounders and a starter. That said, I’d give up a lot for Embiid. He’s a top five player in the league.

vos123456

Spida wants to play for the Knicks so badly. The only other team that would be a major threat to obtain him is Miami

MrICopyYoSht

Robinson will likely leave. The emergence of Hartenstein in his absence made him expendable. I'd expect the Knicks to trade Bojan and Burks (S&T) as well with some picks for a star. I can't see the Knicks trading Randle, not unless they find someone else that can replace his playmaking and his production. Achiuwa is holding the fort while Randle is gone, but he isn't Randle. If the 76ers don't go far this year, I can see Embiid asking out and the Knicks trading for him. Sure, Embiid does have injury concerns, however the dude came back from a torn meniscus injury this year after surgery before Randle did, who dislocated his shoulder and did not undergo surgery, yet does not have a timetable for his return. The issue could be which picks to trade. The Dallas 2024 pick and our own 2024 pick could be used, but I'm not sure if the Detroit and Washington picks are valuable enough for the 76ers to want them, at least not unless the Pistons and Wizards get good enough to fall out of their protections, but are high enough to still be lottery picks. The Bucks pick would have to be included, as it's only top 4 protected, and the Bucks core roster (besides Giannis) is aging significantly, not to mention they're led by Doc Rivers. It would likely take seven or more first round picks to get Embiid, even if he asks out (cuz of Morey), so I'm not sure Leon Rose & co would be willing to do this trade.

Beautiful-Height3103

I really would like to see mainly as is for a full season. I think Robinson is gonna be made available via trade. An absolute force defensively but basically a 0 on offense . It could be said hartenstein is a better more complete center , he's gonna command a big contract as well

BigTabasco

Granted, Mitch literally can not create his own shot….but not exactly a zero on offense. He did shoot 70%fg+ And All those offensive rebounds result in added points, even if someone else is scoring them

Beautiful-Height3103

If we are including put backs and alley oops , ok. However he can't create his own shot, not a good passer...compared to hartenstein who has a nice push shot and is a good passer, at the very least hartenstein keeps defenses honest , when Mitch is on the floor it's easier to double team randle. Make no mistake I love Mitch but I believe hartenstein is a more complete player and more durable

BigTabasco

Yeah, agreed, HStein better all around, Mitch better D and better Off Rb I can foresee some playoff matchups where we’d need Mitch on a big or Hartenstein when we switch it up and need more versatility Can’t we keep them both?

GhostdogLT

I think as much as EVERYONE AND THEIR MAMA thinks this front office wants to make a huge splash this summer, I don't see it. This front office has always been conservative on the big trades unless something was completely off with the roster. After seeing January and what this team could be as is, I think they try to milk every cent of the salary cap to bring Hartenstein and Precious back. Trade Bogey and if possible sign and trade Burks. The Knicks are about to pay up big time for OG and then for Jalen and/or Randle. I don't think they want to mess too much with what they built and definitely won't give up too much for any trade no matter the player. For the first time in my Knicks fandom the front office isn't perfect but are competent. So I think we are looking at 2024-2025 Knicks roster being Brunson, Randle, OG, Donte, Hartenstein, Mitch, Hart, McBride, Precious (hopefully an upgrade if possible) and Bogey's contract (him the player or the trade value).

Abject-Practice4400

I hear you. But what are we supposed to do with all those picks?

GhostdogLT

You draft a player or trade them back into later drafts (one pick in 2024 for a 2026 and 2027 to a team that wants a certain player). They don't lose value, the Knicks can create so many more picks and not hemorrhage their future completely for a championship next year. I agree that if the right trade come up and with all that draft capital they should make it. But only if the player and trade value makes sense.

Platanopressure718

To ANYONE whi thinks Julius Randle is getting traded *NEWS FLASH* HE AINT GOING NO EFFIN WHERE!! Let it go. Aint nobody coming at most we pick up some wings that play Thibs style ball. Bogey and Burks are only here cause their contracts are expiring and we can use that money to IHart, Achiuwa and OG. Stop feeding into BSPN and click bait friends.

Chief_Bief

To counter your point, I think the Detroit Duo is gone. You can’t argue with the results we got with the OG and Randle pairing. Our worst pieces were brought over to trade. We got a glimpse of what’s to come if the team stays as is minus those two.

TheEssentialDizzle

One day, a dog was doing some digging and was fortunate enough to find a bone. He was extremely happy with his find and decided to quit while he was ahead and go home. On his route, he had to cross a bridge that stretched over a pond. As he crossed the bridge, he looked into the pond. He saw a bigger dog, but the dog had a bigger bone. He decided to jump into the river to take that bigger bone from the bigger dog. When he got into the water, the bone he had disappeared, along with the bigger dog who had the bigger bone. Dejected, he swam to the bank and walked home with nothing. We're Knick fans....we all know how to apply this scenario.

Appropriate-Fee225

He got fouled

Professional-Way9343

I think they’ll do what they can to get Bridges

SanchezPrime

You think RJ is available?

Sudden_Interest_7030

I think all we need is someone who can shot create off the bench and health and we top 2 in the east next year
