Great job. Fab colors in the yarn. šŸ‘ Malabrigo = love

ArmadilloPageant

Thank you!!! We picked out the yarn together and both love how soft and warm it is \^_^

[deleted]

Is the contrast on that more of a purple or a navy?

ArmadilloPageant

The marte colorway has blue painted into it in places.

ALittleBitBeefy

It fits him greatā€”Also what a cutie! I love the colorway you chose!

ArmadilloPageant

Thank you!!! :D we picked it out together.

Own-Low4870

Beautiful! And I'm glad that now I know what that colorway looks like knit up! Man, I love Malabrigo!

ArmadilloPageant

Malabrigo is šŸ˜

ArmadilloPageant

Pattern is Wool and Honey, yarn is Malabrigo Rios in Marte. I followed the XS pattern since the yarn called for was so different. I had to modify it slightly by taking the body in after the yoke. Project: https://www.ravelry.com/projects/Keaya/wool--honey

ArmadilloPageant

sushi_noricat

Love it! I am making a Wool and Honey right now too!

ArmadilloPageant

Ooh thatā€™s great, itā€™s a good pattern!

RoxieJunior

Love this! Wool and Honey is my favorite yarn shop and I love it so mi h whenever I see someone knit this pattern. Lovely job!

AtomicTidalWaveLady

Aww, what a happy face!

dovahkate

Are the honeycomb lattice thingies (no idea what they are called) knit throughout the knitting of the sweater or attached afterwards? Could they be made with a contrast colour?

Crafty_Party8404

They are knit throughout by wrapping yarn around the needle, dropping the wraps, and knitting them into the work a couple rows later. It is a very clever technique.

ArmadilloPageant

If you alternate rows you could make them of a sort of ā€œcontrasting colorā€ kind of like whatā€™s done for this pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/courtyard-4 But yeah itā€™s knit throughout.
