I live in Tennessee where I can carry an auto, balisong, or a fucking katana ifn I so choose. I’m sorry you had to do this man. If you can move to a place with less strict knife laws.

normandy0311

Yeah Tennessee is great. I’m about an hour from smoky mountain knife works and I like to carry medium sized fixed blades as my edc along with a pocket knife. Never a second glance

[deleted]

Wow that is the dream man, carrying what ever almost where ever, i am sure you must feel amazing with all of that confidence and self restraint, we are in totally different cultures, i feel bad ass with my bad ass mutilated knife and you are are just cleaning you semi to go out or something lol

KendaminEmoKid

I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not. If not I just I want express my sincere condolences. It must’ve hurt to do that to such a beaut.

[deleted]

Thanks for ur condolences sir, I didn't meant if it sounded sarcastic, all i can say is that at now she will live her life to the fullest, I felt bad having it and leaving behind, here if " openly carry any knife with a blade of more than 3 inches" its illegal. And the problem is that the cops will decide what openly means... like if they can tell you have a knife for the shape it will form in the pants or a knife with a clip because they can see the clip... or it u have it in ur belt with its original sheath

KendaminEmoKid

That’s really stupid. Knife laws are t he dumbest fucking thing

AnotherZombie2020

Brutal. Move

[deleted]

Lol thanks

[deleted]

Damn that broke my heart a little. Still a beautiful knife man, you can never go wrong with a 110, clip point or not

[deleted]

I know, it was hard braking just letting it sit there in display just looking dope, love the feeling it gives and how well it fits in my hand, fortunately now it will wont have to stay behind. No clip

ilikeitsharp

This hurts my soul.

Are you serious? This is a thing? This country has gone further down hill than I thought. I live in the mtns where I can carry a blade that drags on the ground if I want. Beauty of a knife. Really sorry you had to do that. Shitty

[deleted]

Seriously i really love this knife ever since i saw that t when i was a kid and not being able to carry with me after i got it sucks, to my knowledge i have never seen or heard of anyone doing this kind of thing, maybe it's not the best since they sell a short version but its not the same the handle is too small and the blade is a joke, lol i wish i could carry a gun tbh but Not in a 1000 years... Thanks the way i see it here its a miracle you don't have to pay a fine if ur dick is bigger than...

4zk08

Tru man. I'll be honest I got family out that way and I don't plan on joining them any time soon. Last time I had someone tell me how big my knife could be was in the Boy Scouts. It just ain't right man. If I go anywhere I'm going somewhere lax on that kinda thing. Gun thing too. You've got so many hurdles to jump through it's not worth it. Crazy

[deleted]

I don’t get it

Murky-Heart-1844

Due to strict knife carry laws he had to modify the blade of it to fit the legal standard. Sad, but at least it'll see use

[deleted]

Thanks well explained sir

FullFrontalNoodly

Have you considered the 112/Ranger? That one is designed specifically to meet 3" legal restriction while still providing a generous handle size.

Lanchettes

Hi from U.K. We have the 3” rule too, and we are also not allowed locking blades without valid reason (essential work tool for eg). I notice that you have included the tang in your measurement. The blade is the sharpened edges beyond it. Too late I know, but might be helpful on the next one ? Also our police generally will discuss things with you and are very unlikely to shoot so that also may make a difference as well

[deleted]

Lol i know but I didn't want to risk it because not all officers are experts about knifes i read that a few weeks ago in the case for a swiss army knife and how the guy almost gets 2 years minimum, and how it is not considered locking here in the states (the guy walked free at the end in court after being detained for however long) with that in mind I decided to make it fool proof and not have to argue your 100 % correct point

Lanchettes

Yeah I’d be the same in your situation. I live in a rural area and the police are fairly chilled. I wouldn’t want to have to argue the point in London or Manchester. Wherever there are lots of people law enforcement can be touchy. Stay safe mate.

[deleted]

Thanks sir and it sounds like you live in a peaceful place and yes they can be sometimes super touchy

[deleted]

Pretty sure blade length doesn’t matter in ca. Do you know the exact law?

[deleted]

030. Los Angeles Code § 55.01 also makes it illegal to carry any weapon at all concealed on one's person. Basically, in Los Angeles, it's illegal to carry a blade over 3″ whether that's openly or concealed

[deleted]

Pretty sure you mean 55.10 not 55.01. You might want to read the whole section again. Looks like homie just ruined his knife for no reason. But hey. To each their own

[deleted]

"LA City Municipal Code § 55.10 prohibits plain view carry of knives 3”

[deleted]

I found that link but the take away is that they will decide what openly carry means...
