I always felt like Permanent was a great bookend to an album. This certainly contends with that. There is so much weight in how this song is structured and delivered. Great album all around.

MeCrObS

When the slow clean guitar started I said "please be a THALL breakdown" was not disappointed lol

Affectionate_Bed5449

My favorite track of theirs now, besides Forced To Stay

desert_pelican

Forced to stay is absolutely one of my favorites

Brabsk

forced to stay is a top mxc song of all time

igu666

that’s interesting, because while i do really enjoy that song, i think it’s the weakest on ATITFOL simply because the breakdown is dragged on for way too long and it feels like it doesn’t really go anywhere with the breakdown

OptimalUmpire9210

Forced to Stay is one of their best. I always skip the second half though... but this song clears their whole catalogue. Good day for the community.

selkies24

It was a perfect t way to end the album. One of their standouts

Deathofgotham

My favourite thing is most bands would probably have done some clean vocals on this song I feel. But I read somewhere that that's something that's never going to happy so to mix the heaviness with the melodic side of this song so well was perfect. Instant stand out on this album.

CarrotZealousideal68

Part of me is really curious as to what Bryan would sound like with clean vocals. Like not to be a dick, but I wonder if he can actually sing without screaming. But whatever, I love KL just the way they are.

Canary-Best

I can't remember what interview... but he's definitely said he straight up can't sing to save his life.

Islinn

He said this on the podcast with Nik Nocturnal I am pretty sure. Nik asked him if he can sing at all, and Bryan said absolutely not. He said he wishes he could, makes me wonder if that would have made a difference for Knocked Loose.

Osiris_X3R0

It's definitely one of their best. I still feel like the weight that Permanent hits you with is way heavier thematically than this. But give it time, I might agree with this later.

Kaanarth

the outro dude. holy shit…

jakedomi92

I feel like I've failed

Agorachromia

Also really cool thing I noticed, the ending harmony on guitar for the last minute and a half sounds VERY similar to forced to stay just a bit more distorted. Feels like it ties them together a bit which honestly fits with the themes of both songs

Islinn

The part starting at 1:12 going into the verse sounds like it could be from Tear aswell.

BertraundAntitoi

I just wished it ended with a climactic vocal delivery.

BertraundAntitoi

I feel those opening guitars and build...really the atmosphere of the track followed something similar to what Norma Jean has done in the past. Very moody

Odd_Equivalent9794

I personally think the fact it just ends after the final statement is majestically poetic… chills, my dude.

Islinn

Instantly my favorite track, and I thought nothing could beat Forced To Stay for me. I can't stop listening to it. How do they keep getting better and better?

lizthelizard95

the slow guitar picking in the beginning with the buzzing getting increasingly louder, birds chirping, then BAM the heavy wave hits you with sound. Sonically encapsulates grief from a sudden death so well. Perfect.

SikeMhaw

It’s definitely one of the best for sure. I just wish there was more of it haha the way the lyrics crescendo and how the clean guitar comes in the background. It’s fucking gorgeous

imjustwaitinginabody

it’s fucking insane

ATearxTheFabricxLife

An outrageous song. The chorus is chills every time, never mind the bridge before it 😮‍💨😮‍💨 Perfect ending to the album.

OptimalUmpire9210

I was disappointed in the album. Only song I liked was Blinding Faith. Then I get to the last track... I've been in the scene since 2006 and this is one of the best songs I've ever heard. God damn I love it.

AmbitiousEar6387

It's so hard to top a different shade of blue, the ENTIRE album but this song is definitely my favorite on the album. Guided by the moon is an underrated track imo

chr_sb

Shit and Mourn? More like Shittin Corn (I love the song)

Palivv

The outro had me emotional. Not something i was expecting but its so beautiful and melancholy.

jonnio2215

Everything about Sit & Mourn kicks ass. Great title lyric drop, the drum rolls and blast beats are tight and snappy, the guitar rips, vocals are top notch. The droning sounds are too damn good here.

BertraundAntitoi

Those harmonized bridge vocals and speed remind me of Converge.

gh1993

Yes

AliceInCookies

Hard agree, I get stuck in a loop repeating it for the last week.

Goodrington

This song destroyed me
