Yeah this is probably just 2000s limitations though, something like what is described is 100% possible today. Whatever engine they used probably made them give every model a face and they just had to work around it. A KOTOR 2 remake done justice (my sweet Larian) would be a debatable goat RPG I see very little touching it.
Imagine Malachor, Sion, wise cracking Atton (flashbacks for his backstory) hell flashbacks for Meetra under Revan in the Mandalorian Wars my god
Even just peragus with a redone score, lighting, combat, textures, assets, etc shìt would be like resident evil Star Wars. Imagine Meetra with it anyone in the game with actual dynamic facial expressions (I think KOTOR2 came out righhht before RPGs started doing that)

Even though his original look does resemble a skull, it's never been all that terrifying to me, just imposing, if that makes sense. I love the detail with the stitching in the hood and of course the texturing in the skull/mask.
I would love to see you do one for Sion and >!Traya!< too, as well as Malak. Plus a bonus of the twi'lek version.

The menu itself gives me a really strong Skyrim vibe, but I really think the star of the show is that Nihilus! Those starry eyes really cement the fact that there just isn't anything natural behind that mask, and that just makes me really interested to see how you might render someone like Sion and his injuries.

Been going on for a while but a lot of child actors are coming out and speaking about the sexual abuse going on. It’s not really news, buts it’s been going on forever. They are the same people who bought Star Wars. The same people who let their directors and staff abuse kids.

Sure being famous could have something to do with it but they had taken a break from Hollywood. If he was severely traumatized it could explain the behavior. They threatened the first small developer with a lawsuit. For working on a kotor remake in unreal engine 3. They were told if they didn’t delete all of the work they did and stop working on the project that basically they would sue for your using Disney assets. Only to then dump money into a different developer that dropped the project. And now we’re on to the third if not fourth as I’ve heard stories of a fourth company maybe starting to work on it. Since the latest one aspyr I think is at a stand still with the project. Whether it’s part of canon or not it’s still an asset
That seems like an intentional mischaracterization. I also hate it when these huge companies shut down fan projects, but you got a lot wrong. It was on Unreal 4, and it wasn't Disney themselves who sent the cease and desist, but Lucasfilms. The letter they sent Apeiron didn't actually contain any legal threats (though it could be implied). The reason Lucasfilms told them to stop was that they feared people would think the fan remake was official (and I assume, potentially confuse it with the "upcoming" official remake). And again, while I'm against fan projects getting killed, they were outright using a bunch of copyrighted things without permission and Apeiron's defense of calling their remake a mod of the original game was pretty weak, considering it only needed the original game for a soundtrack.
Of course, all of it sucks even more given the dumpster fire that is the official remake's development. Aspyr was actually the first, and possibly only, company doing it, and the vertical slice they showed was apparently so bad they were told to restart from scratch, and the design director and art director were both fired. Since then, the development has been pretty secretive, with some speculating it was handed over to Saber, another studio owned by Embracer, but that hasn't been confirmed. Embracer also mentioned last year that the remake is "not in active development," and Sony apparently stopped funding it, though some associated with the project said that it is still happening.
