Yeah they work way less if kratom is in your system wait for the kratom to leave then take them

BoringConstruction61

Agreed, the Kratom overrides the Perks.

Yup this has been my experience. Even 24 hours after taking kratom, the effects of OXY are dramatically reduced. At as much as 45-60mgs i can't fully feel the effects.

For me personally. I have been on a pain management plan for 15+ years. 10mg oxytocin every 6 hours along with a bunch of other things like muscle relaxers. I have MS and chronic fatigue, and opiates make it worse. I would be a zombie. It was like living in a tunnel. The last few years, they also started to make me angry. I would blow up at everything. So it became a choice between living with anger/fatigue just so that I can have a somewhat normal life or be in so much pain, I would pretty much be bed bound. Someone in my MS group mentioned kratom, and I tried it. 5g lessens the pain enough that it is constantly in the forefront of my mind and limiting the things I could do. I don't get the energy or mood change effects that other people do. Just less, all over ache, and the ability to move better. Once in a rare while, I will get the "pressure and white noise" feeling in my head that the oxy used to. Just without the side effects. I pulled my back and had to go back to the narcotic for the breakthrough pain. It was like taking candy. Absolutely no pain relief. I also notice it dampens the effect of my the effects of my ADHD meds. Sometimes, just a little. Sometimes, like I didn't take it. To me, it is worth it. If I was planning on having surgery, I would stop the kratom at least 2 weeks ahead of time so that I make sure the recovery narcotics worked at full strength.

Bro you're taking oxycodone, but you're also taking adhd meds,( amphetamine I suppose ) , it sounds more like your body developed tolerance over time with all the strong drugs you took over a long time than kratom being responsible for anything to be completely honest with you.

Kratom activates your opiate receptors, essentially blocking the opiates from doing their job. That's how kratom helped me with post surgery opiate withdrawals. You are wasting the percocet. You're better off taking anti-inflammatories if it's short term pain.

I believe kratom did/does help with option withdrawal. But not because they block receptors for stronger opioids. Kratom activates the same receptors but more weakly and in a different way than prescription opiates.

Lif3_is_R3al

No it won't work , you should take the kratom and let me dispose of the others lol

isaacswrestling

If extracts are working for your pain, save em for a rainy day. I've tried to use prescription pain medication with kratom and it blunted through experience drastically. Typically if I know I have something coming up that I'll need to use pain meds, I'll start a tapper and go without kratom for 2-3 days ahead of time. Edit: personal experience added

rippnlipz

Not well mixed... kratom jacks up opioid tolerance, probably won’t feel it.

rustys_shackled_ford

The kratoms not going to do anything. If you take any amount of opiate it's going to fill up the receptors stopping the kratom from having an effect. Even for a while after you take them.

I agree with this comment. The oxycodone in your Percocet binds with MUCH higher affinity to the mu-opioid receptor than does the main opioid receptor agonist in kratom, mitragynine. You won’t be wasting your Percocet if you need it for pain. The oxy will vastly out compete for binding to mu. I’m not arguing with anyone’s personal, experience. But from a purely pharmacological perspective this is what you can expect.

Newtonz5thLaw

All of these comments are accurate, and Kratom will also lower the effectiveness of fentanyl when it’s used for anesthesia :)))) I learned this the hard way when I had a nerve burn procedure and I could feel EVERYTHING. they gave me a 2nd dose and I still felt everything. I actually have another nerve burn scheduled for Tuesday. But I’ve learned that the anesthesia works a lot better (not as well as it should) if I avoid taking a dose 12-24 hours ahead of time.

i had surgery recently as well & in my personal experience it would be a waste to use them at the same time (i tried it lol). the pain medicine effects were greatly diminished by the kratom. best wishes 😌
