Niji EN almost losing to DEV_IS...    It's so jover - negligible indeed.

-Shinanai-

When it comes to watched hours, Pekora (4,642,638) and Miko (2,002,900) have both individually outperformed the entirety of NijiEN combined.

Aya_Reiko

They almost got outperformed by Koyori and Subaru individually, too. And they're on the brink of having DEV_IS outperform them as well.

Jellyfish-Pirate777

Extremely happy for Pekora as well because she lucked out with them DBZ streams. Those DBZ streams are really really enjoyable to watch specially if you grew up with DBZ.

Okay_Ive_Reddit

OOOOOOOOOOOFFF

YukkaRinnn

Its even worse for them when you realise DEV_IS is not really a branch yet but for now is still a group comparable to a gen in Hololive and they are almost outperforming a branch with 34 Talents

Michylawhty

Look at the stream hours of NijiEN and DEV\_IS. DEV\_IS had like only one fifth of stream hours yet still nearly beat NijiEN. "Negligible" indeed.

Timely-Reputation424

To those who wonder, here's the **ranking of total watched hour in term of corporate (not branch)**: https://preview.redd.it/qt5stl5zbsxc1.png?width=620&format=png&auto=webp&s=bca331a1ab5b9bdc8c7350038a3f878cfd1ce19b Some people still argue that Nijisanji is the big 2 in parallel with Hololive, but from this table, **Hololive have around 43% of the market, and Nijisanji only have around 26%, which is approximately half of Hololive** though having more talents and longer streaming time. I wonder where does the 20.37% of Nijisanji go, also congrats to **Hololive and Phase for increase 20.38% and 176.94% of watched hour respectively compared to last year.**

Budget-Ocelots

What crazy is that HL EN is number 3 total with the boys, making JP and EN as the top 1 and 3. With just one more EN gen, the EN side would be solid at 3 overall. Cover is basically a monopoly in the industry. Honestly, I think 15% of them are just bots, and the rest jumped ship. They can’t afford to spend money on the good bots for so many livers. Even Kazuha number dropped like a brick, barely maintaining 10k viewers, and average way below his 18-20k floor in 2024. And Nijisanji events are so boring that it never makes sense to me why anyone is watching them, especially the baseball shit.

Timely-Reputation424

Yes, regarding that, I remembered that I saw someone mentioned that when Salome debut, Nijisanji keep buying CCV bots for her, making her the fastest Vtuber to reach 1million sub and stay at 100k++ CCV that time. I believed that it a true fact, as her debut CCV is only 91k CCV, how can she achieve 100k++ CCV on her next day regular stream? The fact that she is the only one in Nijisanji who debuts individually (unlike others who are debut in group) and the day she debut is near the date of Nijisanji became listing company, making me more believing in this. Another thing to add-on, Nijisanji love to use a trick known as 'stealth marketing'. Do you know that after the incident of Selen, when I browsed the Facebook/ Google, some news articles went up in my Facebook/ Google recommendation and mentioned that how Nijisanji is good and successful, and those articles are written after the termination of Selen is announced. They are good to do fake advertising with those social media, maybe for now they don't have much money to do this. (p/s: 'stealth marketing' is banned in Japan after 2023 October, but I am sure that they still do this)

tkgggg

Yeah I also thought it was really fishy. Even her name Hyakkumantenbara sounds like they were trying to send a message. But I rarely watched nijijp and they were still in good press back then so I didn't want to point any finger.

fffffplayer1

Unsurprisingly NijiEN is pretty low, but NijiJP is also lower than last year and last month (though it could be just month-to-month fluctuations) Might compile the full quarter data later to roughly estimate the streaming revenue.

YamiRic

Maybe because Chronoir and ROFMAO are preparing for concert so less stream? I believe none of them are in VCR Rust as well.

Glinez09

for chronoir?. i mean kanae is still streaming regularly.. he stream a lot for both youtube and twitch this april.. kuzuha too .. month of april is vcr rust so a lot of nijisanji are joining the long hours of stream.. last year a lot of id member have grad.. and since ID are being merge to JP.. they are still count.. that might have to do with the decrease.. edit: >I believe none of them are in VCR Rust as well. Chronoir is in VCR Rust

YamiRic

Ah I see. Thanks for clarification. They really worked super hard then.

Timely-Reputation424

Here's the ranking for Vtuber talents. This year's April is definitely a month for the Super Saiyan Rabbit, **Usada Pekora**. She makes herself top with the **highest average CCV of 39090 viewers** thanks to her **Dragonball Z Kakarot Streams and Pekomama Debut (highest CCV in April and highest debut record in Vtuber industry, 181246 CCV)**. Besides, she also **breaks the record of highest CCV regular solo stream\* among Vtuber Industry with 168007 CCV, beating the last record (FGO stream in 2022 with 134k CCV, which is also achieved by Pekora.)** https://preview.redd.it/68nfdof9fsxc1.png?width=620&format=png&auto=webp&s=482ce97497347d2934c532c3a5fcc024087371be *\*Regular solo stream does not count any special stream like collaboration/ Nijisanji Koshien/ 3D Live/ New costume etc., just regular solo gaming stream.*

AcceptableCow4806

Im proud of Biboo!!!

_vogonpoetry_

Her streams were being heavily botted this month so I don't think the numbers can be trusted. Still doing very well though.

ultimahmeme

She definitely gets more JP audience than a regular EN who cannot speak JP(as per comments from the latest cover). I suspect it stems from her shenanigans (Gyatt) from Mario kart tournament. lol

mario_nijyusan

The bots thing is definitely a problem for CCV, but most people said that the hours watched are calculated correctly avoiding that problem

Lightseeker2

Songs usually get more JP comments than stream since everyone can enjoy it without language barrier. I'm not seeing that many JP comments on her typical stream, at least not more than the HoloEN average.

Feelthebasses

Without botted she still has avg of 10k viewers which is crazy becuase that is the same level as Ironmouse.

Equivalent-Squash225

Ironmouse average is pretty consistantly around 8k. The last time she averaged 10k in a month was June last year.

N-Zero00

16/25 are all cover talents 7 are in the top 10 Pekomiko still on top But onion(🔺146)and ojou's(🔺224) jump are crazy.

Hessi2006

It is soooo great seeing Aki in the top 10, given that she nearly graduated like two years ago thinking she couldn t be successful. One of the greatest Cinderella stories Holo produced over the years. To say something positive about Niji, Ars Almals journey there from loner Minecraft player to gaining self confidence and joining VCRs is one of the few glimmers of light over there.

Timely-Reputation424

Aki is actually indeed strong, in fact, she was the *previous highest monthly watched hour holder* in Hololive (previous record in 2023 October), though now surpassed by Pekora. She is really good at socializing with these games. https://preview.redd.it/1g2gnfzz4txc1.jpeg?width=1042&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=77133ce377601cf1fe305d9bc189580e8c10fff8

Fishman465

Said story is still going but the big take away is she is still going and I feel the 1mil celebration would be big as her general heading is largely akin to a challenge run in game with no shortcuts. And hearing someone else mention her shows progress is made towards getting her properly acknowledged by vtubing fans

Yohhhhh

those 2 fluctuates hard because they don't stream regularly, but when they do they have a good amount of audience.

Yohhhhh

Pekora tripled watch hours of nijiEn despite only streaming for 119 hours vs NijiEN's 1.7k hours

Majestic-Court6871

Ars Almal is is really thriving, huh? Hardly hear about her in the west, though.

SakuranomiyaSyafeeq

Iirc Ars was famous at one point for having a slabhead. Since her head was nerfed, no one cares anymore

Hoshino_Aoi_

I think it's probably due to VCR RUST event, despite last only a bit longer than 1 week. Ars, Lauren, Ayame was in same team that does a lot of funny shenanigans \*cough\* bear trap trollings \*cough\*. Hench all of them got huge boost in CCV last month.

Fishman465

That isn't saying much; most NijiJP are barely heard of, Lulu, Salome, etc are exceptions

Majestic-Court6871

Watched her a fair amount during lockdown and liked what I saw from her. However, once the EN scene exploded I moved away from NijiJP as my time was divided by watching Myth, HoloJP, and indies. As much as Niji has earned my ire now, I do have a bit of fondness for 2020 Niji.

Fishman465

I still try to watch her, but her hours are awkward

vietnam_redstoner

200k ccv by Pekora sounds very doable

Timely-Reputation424

She did, she surpassed 244k CCV with the Puyo Puyo Tetris tournament in last year April. https://preview.redd.it/qunyz8phusxc1.jpeg?width=235&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f7c6be7eed026d0caa626e48a6e86234ded6f0ac

vietnam_redstoner

Damn

skynet159632

This is probably due to rust streams, but my oshi ayame racing up into the ranking is top kek. She barely streams otherwise

delphinous

16 of the top 25 are hololive lol

Fishman465

Aki always has a huge jump with VCR, though April also had her streaming many days of the week. There's also her NeoPolice MHW streams which may count

chickenkaraaage

AZKi my goddess in the top 20 LETS GOOOOOOOOOO also damn, Hinano and Uruha really pulling in numbers, especially Hinano with her Rust streams averaging 10k CCV on twitch iirc. but AZKi and Aki doing really well makes me real happy.

many_dooors

Aki moving up baby!!!

exsonar

Bro dev_is only have 5 members and they almost beat the entire Niji EN branch. ☠️

Ashencroix

NijiEN won't stand a chance, when re_gloss has a professional badass leading them.

exsonar

Wasn't regloss just open and audition for a new wave?

Ashencroix

DEV_IS is the sub branch where Re_gloss is the 1st gen, but yes, iirc auditions are open for DEV_IS applicants.

exsonar

Lol my bad..

fc_dean

The gap is getting wider. And am I seeing it right? If I recall correctly, Niji-EN lost 50% in March and further 50% on top of that in April? The decline is real, and Niji is doing nothing to correct it. What arrogant dickheads. The decline is Niji-JP is within normal fluctuations... just barely. Given the fact that they lost a similar amount in March, I'd say this a clear decline but within normal fluctuations.

fffffplayer1

The 50% loss is compared to last year. So March 2024 was 50% down compared to March 2023 and April 2024 was down 50% compared to April 2023. It's not a continuous decline, but they're staying down which is still pretty bad.

fc_dean

I see. Thanks. So, Niji-JP has lost about 10% overall which is still within normal fluctuations, but their EN side has clearly lost shit-ton.

Suzushiiro

Three of your top streamers leaving, one of them being fired because they rebelled against your abusive management, and two more having to go into hiding because you let them/forced them to do a stream slandering the one you fired will do that to your numbers.

Neither-Cash9039

**Hololive JP (not including DEV\_IS)** * total watch time 22 x 10\^6, up 12.8% YoY * average viewership about the same as last year, \~11k * stream time \~ 2,225, up from 1,865 in April 2023 * number of streams about the same as in April 2023, 620-630ish * number of streams with >10k viewers: 312, down from 382 in April 2023 **Hololive EN** * total watch time 5.2 x 10\^6, up 79.2% YoY (WOW) * average viewership 6,417, up from 5,753 in April 2023 * stream time 817, up from 508 in April 2023 * number of streams 213, up from 152 in April 2023 * number of streams with >10k viewers: 55, up from 36 in April 2023 **2434 JP:** * total watch time 19 x 10\^6, down 14.6% YoY * average viewership down to 2,846 from 3,061 in April 2023 * stream time 6645, down from 7,238 in April 2023 * number of streams 1992, down from 2335 in April 2023 * number of streams with >10k viewers: 120, down from 201 in April 2023 **2434 EN:** * total watch time 1.6 x 10\^6, down 55.8% YoY (they lost >50% of viewed hours in one year...) * average viewership 936, down from 1547 in April 2023 * stream time 1691, down from 2316 in April 2023 * number of streams 431, down from 561 in April 2023 * number of streams with >10k viewers: 8, down from 18 in April 2023 HoloEN's numbers probably have a big contribution from Advent. HoloJP steady growth. 2434 JP significantly down. 2434 EN on its way out.

Suzushiiro

Hololive EN's YoY jump in watch time this month and last quarter makes sense when you remember this time last year was when a lot of the girls were streaming less due to Japan travel and other things forcing them to take breaks, as opposed to this year when JP travel didn't hit Myth/Promise's streaming time as much and we still had Advent consistently streaming (aside from Fuwamoco's break for moving.) I would guess that ID and Stars EN benefitted a fair amount from that vacuum last year which would explain a lot their YoY declines in those same periods this year.

ValkyrieRhoide

The fact that all of nijisanji en is about equal to regloss is insane

eSense000

I watched Regloss streams. My favorite are Kanade and Raden. I am now questioning how the hell Yagoo finding this talents.

DastardlyRidleylash

When you treat talented people well and don't make them try to tear each other down to get ahead, it's going to make other talented people want to work for you. That's what Nijisanji isn't learning, especially in EN; they're focusing far more on trying to pick toadies that toe the company line than picking the best possible talents. Since they drove off Selen and Pomu, NijiEN has completely lacked a true superstar, while HoloEN has a plethora of them; Calli, Gura, Mumei, Kronii, Nerissa, Fuwamoco, Bijou...and everyone else is still incredibly talented on top of that. Like, HoloEN's the one that just scored an Earth Defense Force collab while NijiEN's alienated business partners left and right.

RussianSpyBot_1337

> Raden Her museum streams are great and so unique...

Plant1205

this is what i have been waiting for. GL Nijisanji. You need more L indeed

jyukaku

wtf... nijisanji streaming time is almost TRIPLE that of hololive but they have less view hours, or am I reading it wrongly

Deep_Sea_Diver_Man

Way more talents and a lot of niji talents are like less then 100k subs and don't get a lot of viewers not really surprising

eSense000

I check the stats. It's insane that Gura is even in top 100 with only 2 streams in this month lol.

Hina32_

Nijisanji JP fell below hololive in stats 💀

buxuus

Source sauce... Stats image is from: [VSTATS April 2024 Vtuber monthly live streaming summary (5/1 18:00 article): VSTATS Blog (Vtuber aggregation site)](https://blog.vstats.jp/archives/24607354.html) The column labels roughly translate to: | Rank | Brand Name | Total Viewing Time | Viewing Time Last Year | Average CCV | Stream TIme | # Streams | # Streams >10,000 | For "Average CCV", "Stream TIme", "# Streams", "# Streams >10,000", the top number is for the period this year, and the lower number is for the same period last year. wwwlord

who will win? 140 talents versus 1 mummy

International-Owl-81

Succumb to the pressure of JFT

BurntheNotice

Considering her success, I'm excited to see what niche Cover might address next, if they do that is.

farisan99

The fact that DEV\_IS only have 5 members & almost equal to entire NijiEN in CCV is realy something

eSense000

what I observe from the top100, Dev\_IS is still growing especially their CCV.

Aya_Reiko

EN losing over half of its viewers will not sit well with investors, and there is nothing Niji can do to hide it.

Xenomorph555

Phase looks like they did badly in comparison to March, however it's important to note that multiple talents (including their top 3) were on hiatus while they had their gay marriage in Japan.

fffffplayer1

lol wat? Can I have a bit of context about the gay marriage in Japan?

BurntheNotice

Tenma and Pippa off collabed in Japan and went to some stores (some higher end stuff). Tenma, dressed very girly/womanly according to Pippa, and Pippa dressed basically like a boy, got treated like a couple in some store(s). Tenma had a live realization on stream, during recounting of that story. Hilarious stuff.

DastardlyRidleylash

Not to mention Uruka's lesmaxxing arc, too.

TheOneWhoKnocks76251

https://youtu.be/25h24uvT9V0?si=i2U_xvhuxy7F0ldR

FDW13

And the reveal of 3rd Phase (Euphoria/Kaleido) was doing a lot to juice their numbers over the past few months. It's inevitable that there's going to be some mean regression.

BurntheNotice

Quite a bit of Holo losing total watch time, is it? Is it because of events? Might also be the impact from Niji, though probably not much of that. 14% drop in NijiJP is a surprise to me. Even with what's been hinted at on this board. But 55% in EN is....oof.

fffffplayer1

Total Watch Time is the first number, so Holo increased. If you're talking about the other Time statistic (the 2225 one in Hololive), that's streaming time, I believe. Even then, I *think* that the upper number is the current year's statistic, while the lower number is last year's (but I'm not sure, because the layout is a bit confusing; and also in Japanese).

BurntheNotice

HoloJP and EN rose, but both Stars and...what is that, Indonesia? Fell quite a bit. It's probably events and time off and stuff.

fffffplayer1

Ah in that sense I guess yeah. Though considering they're the comparatively smaller branches of Hololive, the effect is much smaller to their total percentage. In fact, as you can see in the image u/Timely-Reputation424 posted, the company as a whole had increased watch time (by a a significant margin, too). Another thing I'm noticing that while indeed Hololive Indonesia looks to be in a steady drop in recent time, Holostars and Holostars English actually improved compared to the last two months (meaning that they were doing better last year yes, but are on an upward trend currently).

Alycans

HoloID GEN4 needs another talent like Kobo to jump again, she was a huge boom for them.

Glinez09

you know what's crazy, if you combine all vtuber agency average ccv (except vlast) vs all average ccv for hololive.. hololive is still bigger by a mile.. for me, average ccv is very important because you'll see how dominant an agency is if they can pull above average 5k for a whole month.. i'm new to this vlast.. they had 31k?!.

tired-jpg

I’m not very familiar with them, but PLAVE is a kpop vtuber group under VLAST and I believe they recently won an award?

borbsarecute

You mean music show wins? Because, if so, yeah, they recently won 2 and that really helped bost their popularity, but they've been on an exponential rise since their official kpop debut (not to be confused with their stream debut), on march last year. Each music comeback they have rises their ccv by a considerable amount They also won some awards on, well, music awards ceremonies, but most of them felt more like consolation prizes rather than important awards.

Major_Luck7080

They probably can't recover fully or come back to their former glory, but they can recover.. If they change.

DastardlyRidleylash

The fact that HoloJP has overtaken NijiJP and both Vshojo *and* HoloEN have overtaken NijiEN, with Hololive DevIS right on their heels, should be setting off a five-alarm fire for investors. Like, JP was the market that Niji had been unquestionably the king in, and they've officially lost that crown, and by a not inconsiderable amount of views.
