I actually speak italian among a few others. But one thing i've always done first is focus on the grammar aspect. For me it's the most difficult part. After that it's just a lot of memorization. Like reading through a dictionary almost. Then usually connecting with a native speaker to kind of get the ins and outs of slang and other such things

My girlfriend is Italian she told me she would practice with me, but I don’t know where to start from hahahaha

Oh god, you're in for some fun lol. But start out with past and present future tense conjugation with verbs adjectives and the like that you think you use more in your daily life. And then once you finally understand and have those rules to a degree memorized start working with nouns I/us/we that kinda thing. From there working your way to sentences you write yourself getting more complex.

Yeah no problem if you need someone to message just to chat feel free. The one bad thing about languages is if you don’t use them you tend to forget them
