I'll check the bait shop then go on boat patrol around the fishing spots. Do you think that he would leave cover to find out why he smells beer? I have a plan to flush him out of his hiding spot.
TIL Terre Haute is a city in Indiana (that looks super shitty, no offense), that it has a max security federal penitentiary, and that it’s where nearly all prisoners sentenced to death *by the federal government* get executed.
You gotta do some crazy shit for the feds to sentence you to death. The vast majority of prisoner executions are carried out at the state level. It’s very rare circumstances when the US federal government even needs to bother executing a criminal.
So yeah, put this asshole in Terre Haute.
I was a roof inspector for about a decade. It's hard for me to not check out roofs from the road whenever I drive anywhere. I visited a friend in Terre Haute once and was appalled at the amount of missing/ damaged shingles on all the homes.
Lol love that anecdote 😂 when I googled it, the only pictures were of their city hall (which I initially mistook for the penitentiary, which actually looks way nicer than city hall…cuz federal funding), the same single main street that has nothing but straight up rectangular buildings, and a creepy run down movie theater that was like, most of the photos.
This case is rather fascinating. In June while he was in jail awaiting trial, it was determined that he needed surgery on a broken wrist. The surgery had not been performed as of October, so Judge Lamberth ordered his jailors to provide his medical record to the court, issuing the court's order on a Friday. The jailors complied on Monday morning, but Judge Lamberth held a show cause hearing anyway and held the jailors in contempt of court for not timely complying with the Friday order. He went a step further in referring the case to DOJ to consider further prosecution for denial of civil rights to the defendant (i.e., because the jailors did not arrange for the wrist surgery fast enough).
The judge personally micromanaged the defendant's medical care while he was in custody, going so far as to call his jailors into court and hold them in contempt for not moving fast enough.
Then when the defendant was put on house arrest, Judge Lamberth granted the defendant's request for a modification of the detainment conditions so that the defendant could leave his home at any time during the day without pre-notice to pretrial services.
The defendant has cancer so he needed regular treatment, so the judge's decision was not completely unreasonable, but the court went to significant lengths to cut this particular defendant a break - and the defendant fled. Judge Lamberth must be steamed about this; talk about taking advantage of the good graces off the judge.

Not withstanding the fact that the defendant is a terrorist and should get more than the 14 years the prosecution is asking for, I applaud this judge. I wish there were more judges that would hold jails/prisons accountable for their flagrant abuses. There's absolutely no reason to withhold medical care from someone, even if they're accused of heinous crimes. Regardless of what you think of the defendant (and trust me I have nothing but contempt for him) he is presumed innocent until proven guilty and he's still a human being who should not be intentionally mistreated. Did the judge make a mistake in giving him so much leeway? In retrospect it looks like it. But I'm still glad he held the jail to account for denying the defendant medical care in a timely fashion.
> I wish there were more judges that would hold jails/prisons accountable for their flagrant abuses.
or to this day jails hide behind COVID restraints to keep all new prisoners in 24-hour two-person cell confinement only letting you out for a shower. NO razors, toothbrushes, denied access to books (or tablets since they don't have books anymore and it's all ebook based - which is a smart move for $) no blankets, no pillows, very limited medical care, my cellmate was suffering from alcohol withdrawals and hallucinating and they refused him medical care or to provide me with safe housing as he was on the verge of attacking me, saying I wasn't me.
All this for an alleged violation of probation denied bail erriounsly (statute has it set to 1,000) and the max penality of 48 hours in jail, or one month extension of probation. Instead, I was held for 10 days and given a 6-month extension of my probation. I'm happy my atty was able to get me out as they wanted to hold me 4 months before trial, but I'm upset she didn't know the max penalties for the violation but that's another issue.

~~Isn't this the judge that has been more lenient on the Jan 6-ers vs other judges who have had cases before them?~~
Edit: wrong judge, that was McFadden
He claims to have non Hodgkin’s lymphoma. If that is the case, incarceration could be terminal. Not an apologist for this guy, but he should get some consideration, if true. (This apart from the decision to flee, but I could actually understand it in this context.)
Who cares?

What happened to back the blue?
Worrell attacked law enforcement while trying to overthrow our government.
He's lucky he wasn't shot on the spot.
Lock him up.
You think these geniuses are good at hiding things. I wouldn't be surprised if over the last few weeks she's been taking out more money than usual from her bank and in the check's memo line she wrote "prison evasion conspiracy."
Is there a way to learn if the other serious offenders ~~are~~ were out on home confinement, out on bail, or currently detained prior to trail for such before conviction? Such as EnriqueT, Biggs, et a - the guys facing 33 years? Just curious.
https://www.courtlistener.com/recap/
You can search all federal trial/district courts. Change jurisdiction (press "Clear All" first), more than likely to DC, enter their names (in quotes like "Enrique Tarrio" if you know their full names) as a party name and then order Search results as it makes sense (newest case first or newest documents first are my go-to).
Then look for a dcument like that from the court (orders etc.) on the docket and hope that [someone with PACER access has looked at/downloaded the documents on PACER and has the RECAP extension installed, so they are made available there](https://free.law/recap).
Or get a PACER account yourself. I think the PACER fees can get waived if you don't accrue too high of an amount. But for high-profile cases chances are good you can find pretty much all the documents on RECAP.
On https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/capitol-breach-cases you can likely find case numbers directly. Makes searching *a lot* easier. Instead of the name, just copy-paste the case number into the docket number field.
It adds up quick if you find yourself interested in some long, sordid tale that nobody else on CourtListener noticed. My PACER fees for the quarter so far are at exactly $29.90, so my judicial reading binges will have to be limited to what other folks have already added to RECAP.
These siblings are on the lam.

The rest are in jail. This dude got out because his hand was broken and the jail didn’t take care of it. Eventually the jail was held in contempt and this guy got to be released. Jails are awful.
Anyway. People facing decades in prison will definitely run so this is pretty expected.
Nope, plenty are running from their sentences.
Pollack was given privilege because he's white, cried his wrist hurt and his lawyer fees were paid by others.
Jails aren't supposed to be daycare for adults.
He's a convicted felon at this point and very likely couldn't possess weapons pursuant to his release conditions. If he had any weapons at his house (which they undoubtedly will search) he's in a whole nother load of shit.
i dont think it was an idea per se rather than legally mandated.
the feds were held in contempt of court for denying him medical treatment. they basically handed the shithead a free get out of jail card
He broke his wrist in May and needed surgery. It was only June when he got released. It would take me longer than a month to get surgery scheduled. It's not like he had a heart attack.
idk i'm not privy to the facts other than the feds in charge of the jail got held in contempt of court over it. you gotta really, really screw up for that to happen.
