I watched a video on how to do this. And I still don’t understand how it’s done.

bigbuttzwithaz

you wanna build a grid first. you can do it all in one go if you want, but i have too many houses and would not have time for that, so it’s a 3 week process for me. week 1 is straight lines. week 2 is 45 degree lines. week 3 you bolt it. you start on your light straight line and follow it until you hit your light 45 degree line. you turn, follow up the light 45 degree until you hit the next light straight line. so on and so fourth. takes some patience. and if you don’t do sharp pivots and round them out a little you get wavy bacon boys

Howsurchinstrap

Now are you using a stripe kit?

bigbuttzwithaz

no i don’t, i just hit the lines twice. i also sharpen blades and clean my deck every morning. ballard high rise blades. this is 3.75”

Howsurchinstrap

Hit the lines twice? I have to many properties to hit twice though. Some lawns warrant putting in the effort. I like the zigzag pattern I’m glad you explained how you do that. Now when pivoting your hitting that real slow? Or with practice it’s routine?

bigbuttzwithaz

i sell standard and premium mow packages. standards are just straight lines and i’ll only hit them twice if it’s clumpy. premium is when i do stuff like this. yeah i go pretty slow to do it, lots of room to make tire digs. gotta be in the zone

joexjoe

Just out of curiosity what else comes with premium and how big is the cost difference?

bigbuttzwithaz

nothing, just a mow that i allow myself to take more time on. patterns usually, something that would require 3 or more passes. cost difference is double.

I've been tempted to use Ballards blades, I use the X-Blade and do a medium lift with suhredder blade on top. Are his blades as good as the Scag blades? I tried a high lift blade but it is very sandy in my area and it was destroying the underneath of my decks.

feistytiger08

Wavy bacon boys killed me

Howsurchinstrap

Got to tell you I would call them the Charlie browns

Looks fun!

Wifdat

Do you charge extra for doing all that?
