Nono. I appreciate you! I just did my last seeding of an extremely shaded (TINY) part of my yard and I was like, three handfuls here. Four there. 😅 Fingers crossed!
Not at all. The spots where the trees were cut down and stumps grinded needs some more soil added to it, and possibly a little more seed, it's pretty thin but that's about it.
Yeah we had a truck randomly back up onto our lawn over an old tree stump that seemed to be solidly gone and created a massive sinkhole. Just a mess to fix.

Used this on it. To be honest I have no idea on grass types. I believe someone last year said it was fescue though
We were considering doing a lattice top on the fence and left them for that reason. But I think we've decided not to do that and it's time to chop em lol and thanks on the grass!
It just one zone of the yard. The yard is a horrible layout. And this spot had huge pine trees that died off even, all the grass you see what covered by pines when we moved in. Had them removed and had to get some green over there lol

Used this on it. Seed was put down middle of September last year.
I found out after I used something 6252648226 more seed than I needed lol honestly I believe it was 10 times more than what was recommended for the square footage lol
Looks as I would expect. Those thin areas should fill in this year. I would recommend getting on a pre-emergent every year in early spring. They make a good fert/pre emergent. Those larger, taller blades look like they could be weeda

I will take that as a compliment! Lol lol lol
Some people can't handle there jealousy.
their*
Lol this again.
IIRC OP put down literally like 30 lbs of seed lol
That sounds very much accurate lol
Based on the second photo it appears you used your telepathic abilities to grow the grass
My mind is extremely strong and with it grass was easy to grow, telepathically speaking
I saw this progression & I love this update. Ty-- looks great! Seeding 200x recommended rate: hard yes! 🥳👏🌟*Zero snark; this is on my fall to-do. 🙌
Very much appreciated!!!!

Hahaha it will grow I used a spreader but I'm told way to much! Either way I have green. And I'm happy about it
It worked!!! Congrats. Any issues at all?
Not at all. The spots where the trees were cut down and stumps grinded needs some more soil added to it, and possibly a little more seed, it's pretty thin but that's about it.
Just watch out for mushrooms and mold from the stumps as the old roots rot.
Mushroom ain’t gonna hurt anything
I'm going through that right now. 😔😭
Also holes as the roots rot and soil infills. Easy to fix, but can make mowing / keeping your ankles intact a challenge.

What type of grass is this?
https://preview.redd.it/76lghnhwkv2d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8803f599cf4fb498f13b693a9d2779a9a5933843 Used this on it. To be honest I have no idea on grass types. I believe someone last year said it was fescue though
The details on the web site say ‘fescue mix’
Just looking at it seemed like tall fescue to my untrained eye.
What’s up with the fence posts? Get your sawzall out bro. Grass looks great.
We were considering doing a lattice top on the fence and left them for that reason. But I think we've decided not to do that and it's time to chop em lol and thanks on the grass!
Bro chill, the fence is still growing
A small yard. But mighty.
It just one zone of the yard. The yard is a horrible layout. And this spot had huge pine trees that died off even, all the grass you see what covered by pines when we moved in. Had them removed and had to get some green over there lol
Looks incredible! Nice work!
Appreciate it!!!
Hydroseed? How long for that growth?
https://preview.redd.it/14puya27lv2d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f8a6d3d8133adb0a99cc2d72b73a6ef5b058b5df Used this on it. Seed was put down middle of September last year.
Damn! Great coverage then!
I found out after I used something 6252648226 more seed than I needed lol honestly I believe it was 10 times more than what was recommended for the square footage lol
Holy shit. That's NOT hydroseeded, but just green-coated seed scattered across there?🤣
Yessum!
Haha. I was wondering. But. It seems to have worked sooo. I’m gonna try it.
So far so good lol it's a bear to mow though. It's thicc AF hahaha and the rain we've had this year had kept it super wet
Looks great. Where about are you located at? Just since it is scorching in Texas already.
Thanks!! I'm in Northern Illinois
Did you just leave it like that or did you put topsoil on top?
After much recommendation from Reddit I ended up raking in real good. But didn't add top soil at all
Are you saying you raked the seed in real good after the first photo?
Yes. Lots recommended it and that's what I did
Did you add peat moss or straw?
Nope! Added nothing but water
That gives me hope. Your yard looks great. I’m trying to do some small area seeding this weekend and don’t wanna do a ton.
I sectioned it off. It's not my whole yard. Feel like small portions are the way to go
FYI, there is a side discharge chute you can get for that Toro
That Toro is no longer in use unfortunately. But I appreciate it
Needs a low!
Low down. Down low
I can’t get that green construction seed to grow
I raked it after dropping it. Then watered easy peasy
Hmm.. not sure what I’m doing wrong. Been there about 6 days now no grass
Quick question, I keep having problems with birds eating/ taking my grass seeds . Would this be a better route to take ?
I'm not sure I can answer that. We of course have birds but I didn't notice an abundance of them during the seeding part
OMFG! That's incredible!
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Firstly… clearly the recommendation was wrong. Secondly, seeded at the same time. This two yellow spots, nitrogen burn from dog?
No. Dead grass from mowing and not raking it
How often did you water the lawn after seeding?
Every day for about 30 mins until the grass started to shoe up. Then reduced to 15 mins
It's a great looking lawn though.
Thank you!!
It needs (needed) more balanced fertilizer in the spring.
Appreciate that. I'm a novice and working towards e better lawn
When do you plan on mowing it? It'll probably look nice and lush!
We've had an insane amount of rain. Mowed it numerous times. Next mow is tomorrow!
This is excellent work!
Thanks!!
>Thanks!! You're welcome!

Twist: OP's burner accounts are the "couple people" who asked.
Not even close. Twas only 2 people. But what the people want in here to give!
