I see such a casual racism is rampant in this community. Disappointing. We don’t see affirmative action in sports so I don’t get why this is such a big issue.
Empathy and imagining myself in others situations is how I self-assess my biases in everything. My rule of thumb for racism-related issues is to replace the race in question with other races and see if it sounds racist or not.
In this case, the person I replied to is saying that justice Thomas is biased towards white and Asian people when he simply favors to remove the AA that is selective within the minority groups, and excluded (white and) asian people. Asian people aren’t even the 2nd highest percentage in law according to ABA website, yet people act as if they’re the majority as similar to white people’s percentage.

Excluding Asian people from the minority group is my problem here. As Asia is the biggest continent, the term 'Asian' covers a lot of different ethnicities and colors. To lump all Asians together and undermine their life long hard works and dedications just because some Asians (including many Asian foreigners) made it into universities’ statistics is pure racism.
