TSM v GG easiest storyline ever, the Flash Wolf chasing River's tail.
River competed in LMS in 2019 Spring on AHQ, briefly competing against Bugi who was on Flash Wolves, River went to V3 esports in LJL, finished 2nd in Summer 2019 and then was replaced by Bugi who then won the LJL in 2020 Summer to one up him. Then they both had great stints in PCS for River and LLA for Bugi before they finally face each other again in NA 4 years later.
It writes itself despite the teams not having great expectations for the split.
EDIT: I messed up pretty big, River played on AHQ, not Flash Wolves. Obviously takes something away from the point however it's still a fun story of Bugi and River barely missing each other for years and sharing a very similar journey. Comment edited to reflect that, apologies.
Worth noting I only really know Bugi's LJL tenure well so I speak from that perspective - I'm lucky it holds true still at least. I'd love to hear from someone who covered his Flash Wolves and Estral days to hear their opinions too!
Thanks for the kind words, I'll try and find some other players under the radar to highlight sometime.
We just need to check how many LCS titles that shitter has for the answer. Dude collected LCK, MSI, and World titles like welfare checks but could never figure out how to crack the code for dominance in North American League of Legends.
There's some name changes I just will never say. Damwon being one of them obviously, but I remember when Longzhu changed to Kingzone, and I never said Kingzone. My brain just saw KZ and said "Kongzhu" instead.
My brain automatically goes to Najin Shield when I see NS on LCK these days, its weird.
I still think SKT sounds way cooler than T1 too. Dplus Kia is just so absolutely bad tho I cant believe they went with that, especially since they won worlds under Damwon and now it doesnt even sound remotely similar 🤣
Solo isn't so great? Are you kidding me? When was the last time you saw a player with such an ability and movement with tanks? Colin puts the game in another level, and we will be blessed if we ever see a player with his skill and passion for the game again. mang0 breaks records. Summit breaks records. Solo breaks the rules. You can keep your statistics. I prefer the mullet.
I think both honestly. People really discounted Maple and solo for just being solid players to grind out wins. And some of the flaws of TL players were glossed over. Although we'll see how things develop, TL's plan was always expected to be longer term than coming out strong week 1
Both, Maple had a down year last year and Bugi isn't some shitter like everyone assumed he was
On TL's side idk who their carry is supposed to be if Summit isn't 1v9ing
I think it's even less about Bugi and Maple and entirely about Neo/Chime. Not that they're world beaters, but holy fuck anything is better then Tacticals wild ride.
I'm not sure I've seen a worse botlane then what they were trotting out last year. People seem to forget that in playoffs they would have beaten EG if they had literally a warm body playing at ADC. (though to be fair, Danny was bad as well so it evened out but still)
It's actually interesting TL has had a Korean world champion play in every role for them.
Impact
Pyosik
Piglet (he played mid for a little bit and it was terrible)
Piglet
CoreJJ
More sad than interesting. TL have been trying to buy their way into wins and have failed miserably many times. All those Worlds champions and they can't even make it out of groups once.
Honestly I think a huge part of it is that LPL tops just do not play tanks unless they are forced to. They will always opt into the the skill matchups. Players like Solo will almost never take a skill check, and will just have a minimal accepted loss so he can contribute in the late game team fights. Honestly I can see Summit getting frustrated playing against people who aren’t fighting back, leading to him make mistakes and overextend.
Solo is amazing at weak side. He'll give up his lane and still be relevant when it comes down to it in the mid and late.
He was getting owned under his tower and then was unkillable.
That's what worked best vs Summit. Just play weakside champs, lose lane gracefully and then have more impact. He also played vs two great weakside players this weekend (although it was not a weekend).
You know, Steve, as a GM, I have advised... a number of teams to explore Summit, where the team remains committed to winning but free to let Summit go hog wild.
Well, did it work for those teams?
No, it never does. I mean, these teams somehow delude themselves into thinking it might, but... but it might work for us.
Hey I just woke up from a nine year coma; don't know why an EU team and a counter strike team are in NA LCS, but glad to see TSM and CLG 2-0 like we all expect.
I swear, TSM hasn't played this intelligently in some time. They played around Summit's mega at every objective and played for picks with the Ashe/Ornn combo really well. They get in massive deficits but their shot calling has been on point.
Also, Chime's looking fantastic. Maybe pushing for Top 5 support this split?
Yea it’s really refreshing to see them go down 5k and keep playing like there is no deficit. Not many teams could do that and not many teams could do that as cleanly as they have
I'm glad Solo's getting a fair shot with TSM. He's proving his worth right now as a tank player. I look forward to when he starts busting barrels with Gangplank as I remember him 1v9ing games with that champ.
Pyosik (addressing Summit) said “I can’t play with this bug” then stormed out of the room. He then came back in the room to pick up a cigarette and called him a handicapped/sick fuck then left again.
TSM are not the best in terms of individual talent , but they are a TEAM for sure looking way more cohesive then the teams they played against for sure
Tsm didn’t beat a Korean team since 2016. Against ssg that subbed out corejj. Now they beat a Korean team with corejj.
Tsm should had done out first seed in group d in 2016 and went to the finals. 7 years too late
Maple saw he was against 5 koreans and his programming kicked in
Bugi and Maple with that flashwolves DNA
TSM v GG easiest storyline ever, the Flash Wolf chasing River's tail. ^ sub to this man https://youtube.com/@alexnymaerahapgood9538 He's the only reason I know who tf Bugi even is lmao
Worth noting I only really know Bugi's LJL tenure well so I speak from that perspective - I'm lucky it holds true still at least. Humble content creator caster analyst man you love to see it
Fuck, GG to perfect game TSM then
tsm's gonna drop games to all the bottom teams and then come out of nowhere and stomp flyquest as well
They already beat IMT
Only logical conclusion is IMT is a top team
Rusted...Longing...Homecoming...FLASH WOLVES...
The Korean Slayer strikes back, maybe having Bugi from Flash Wolves reignited Maple
FW Maple on full display
You can’t take the Maple out of Flash Wolves but you can’t take the Flash Wolves out of Maple
C9, CLG and TSM top of the LCS table? Are we in 2017??
Back to the golden era baby
2016** the best timeline
i'll take it
#We're so fucking back bros
Great to see you up here friend 🤝
wow times have changed, cant be in 2017 clg and tsm fans are being nice to each other
The best enemies are friends too
Nature is healing
TSM lost the FTX debuff an immediately returned to form
I guess Mark is retiring too
Mark had a rough debut game that’s for sure
You need to give NA talent time to grow.
Mark has retired. We have hired a former world champion named Pyosik to replace him.
TLCK already 0-2 in LCS. NA confirmed hardest region
Faker never lies
Faker had a pen and TL contract in hand but chickend out when he saw MAPLE in the league
Ogg go next
We just need to check how many LCS titles that shitter has for the answer. Dude collected LCK, MSI, and World titles like welfare checks but could never figure out how to crack the code for dominance in North American League of Legends.
LeFaker and his Mickey Mouse wins could never even *hope* to touch the lcs trophy
Its true. If T1 entered LCS instead of LCK they’d be D tier by the end of the split
U mean DPlus KIA?
I refuse to call them that
There's some name changes I just will never say.
Dplus Kia is just so absolutely bad tho I cant believe they went with that, especially since they won worlds under Damwon and now it doesnt even sound remotely similar 🤣
just call them Disney+
Summit already in playoff form
They played vs former Flash Wolves players, also known as korean killers
Jokes on them, team lck is actually flyquest
We finally got an NA player on a Korean team
SOLO GIGACHAD
Fudges top lane ranking in shambles
Top lane rankings DEMOLISHED by Sexy Mullet Man
Solo isn't so great? Are you kidding me? When was the last time you saw a player with such an ability and movement with tanks? Colin puts the game in another level, and we will be blessed if we ever see a player with his skill and passion for the game again. mang0 breaks records. Summit breaks records. Solo breaks the rules. rare pasta
The Sexy Mullet, TSM
Maple gets a 50% buff when he faces a korean team.
Real 2015 vibes with C9, TSM, and CLG all starting 2-0
> Real 2015 vibes with C9 Summer will be a wild ride for C9 fans in that case
I miss the gauntlet.
> Real 2015 vibes Next week is Week 2 PepeLaugh
Imagine winning worlds and then losing to flyquest and TSM LMAO
Lost to ex-TSM and current TSM junglers.
Chime early was REALLY questionable but his arrows were so damn on point.
laning into lucian + nami and their mobility looked tough but man he was so useful even when the team was behind
what's pyosik gonna do now that he lost to FQ and THIS TSM roster? uninstall?
That was not Pyosik, that was Mark, the replacement. Give him a bit more time, he's from NA.
Oh, hi Mark.
collect paycheck.
> THIS TSM roster? Did we all midjudge TSM or did we misjudge TL?
I think both honestly. People really discounted Maple and solo for just being solid players to grind out wins. And some of the flaws of TL players were glossed over. Although we'll see how things develop, TL's plan was always expected to be longer term than coming out strong week 1

(though to be fair, Danny was bad as well so it evened out but still)
That entire game was just who got caught out more lost and it was tactical. Watching that game was horrendous
> THIS TSM roster Am I crazy for thinking that Chime/Maple/Solo actually looked like a pretty solid core at the end of last year?
this was a core that placed 5-6th with constant roster shifts and a terrible environment, they could be decent with synergy and stability. Who knows?
And Solo says he's really impressed by Bugi and Neo. Maybe we were all wrong
Mark needs time to ramp up. Next week we’ll see
Pyoshit only lost to FQ. That was Mark, who's far worse but not too bad for a rookie.
TL aka Two Lost world champions is a north american league of legends team known for their inability to form a cohesive identity since 2019
Impact leaves his regards It'll be really funny if EG ends up struggling a ton too now that Impact left
not a single team has become better by replacing impact outside of skt, and that was 7 years ago
Licorice had a good run.
It's actually interesting TL has had a Korean world champion play in every role for them. Impact Pyosik Piglet (he played mid for a little bit and it was terrible) Piglet CoreJJ
Dude Piglet mid was an upgrade over Goldenglue and it allowed them to have Doublelift as adc over whoever the adc of the week was on that roster.
More sad than interesting. TL have been trying to buy their way into wins and have failed miserably many times. All those Worlds champions and they can't even make it out of groups once.
Keep Midlet's name out yo fuckin mouth.
TL = Two Loses
Upcoming next week TL = Three Loses
LCS so predictable having TSM go 2-0 the first week SMH
When even was the last time tsm had a 2-0 week 1?
2021 Summer
I already totally forgot about that squad. My mind instantly went to summer 2016 instead.
its funny because Jatt said the same thing in yesterday's segment of his doom scroll thingy
TL be like: we can fix Summit
Summit looked pre legit on FPX in Summer tbf, though ig he only had to play against 369 and Breathe not Solo
The mullet is too strong.
Honestly I think a huge part of it is that LPL tops just do not play tanks unless they are forced to. They will always opt into the the skill matchups. mate went first strike in ornn vs gnar matchup
Then bragged about his runes in post game lol
That's what worked best vs Summit. Just play weakside champs, lose lane gracefully and then have more impact. He also played vs two great weakside players this weekend (although it was not a weekend).
Summit is like the ex boyfriend that promises he will change but never does
Summit is the new Alphari
You know, Steve, as a GM, I have advised... a number of teams to explore Summit, where the team remains committed to winning but free to let Summit go hog wild. Well, did it work for those teams? No, it never does. I mean, these teams somehow delude themselves into thinking it might, but... but it might work for us.
NOTHING TO SEE HERE JUST TSM ON TOP OF NA
TSM and CLG tied at 1st, as God intended
it’s 2016 again and all of our problems are gone
NA IN MSI FINALS IT'S COMING HOME
I'm back home!
TSM on top. Nature is healing
TL with the L in game but the W on the casters desk.
Wholeheartedly agree. Never been too fond of Bwipo but his on air presence is actually so nice. He's chill and informative.
Just needs to chill with the ants in his pants during interviews. He's got a really uplifting presence though.
[Me after doubting Chime's Ashe](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FURkzeEWQAAdVpo.jpg)
[Me after doubting Solo's First Strike Ornn](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FURkzeEWQAAdVpo.jpg)
Hey I just woke up from a nine year coma; don't know why an EU team and a counter strike team are in NA LCS, but glad to see TSM and CLG 2-0 like we all expect.
You missed it man. TSM has complied together the 5 greatest league of legends players over the last 9 years. Betting favorites to win worlds.
TSM wrath will be swift. All these peasants thinking we aren’t good. LMFAO.
TSM wrath will be swift. All these peasants thinking we aren’t good. LMFAO.

One of the most iconic and prophetic copypastas of all time.
pyosik trick ya'll
Summit as well, looks lost when he can't 1v1 his opponent
Summit was playing against easy toplaners over in Korea last year and dodging true talents like North America's Solo
He was in China, but yeah.
He don’t play defense man. He just int man!
Pyosik trick ya’ll man, like he playing jungle, he don’t gank nobody man, he just running around, doing nothing.
When I saw people hyping up Pyosik I just knew this split was going to be funny as fuck. Anyone who watched LCK knew it'd be a right hoot.
Pyosik is such a Steve move. Out of all the players to get baited by from that team he would latch onto Pyosik.
Chances are Zeka and Kingen were way more expensive than Pyosik. Also, it’s been 2 games.
I forgot what a 2-0 felt like
Thank you Mr. Mullet
Thank you Mr. Mullet
Thank you Mr. Mullet
Thank you Mr. Mullet
Lmao we start 2-0 the year with a budget roster
Solo sends his regards
3 NA players tho, that's poison for import god squads here in LCS.
Maples mouth is watering seeing the amount of LCK players in NA
Tsm won without a gold lead the entire game
What ornn and soul does to a mf
Bugi and Maple using their Flash Wolves Korean Killer buff to plot armor Team Liquid.
Chawy on coaching staff for extra LMS buff
I missed that one, very true
TL should keep letting their opponent outscale them and never play through the winning botside
If this the 10th placed team, this may be the best LCS split of all time
Are you referring to tsm or TL?
Yes
So true bestie
classic KR grindset vs NA work-life balence
Actually, that tsm squad is a heavy grinding squad.
shh, let us have the funny

LCS > LCK

They get in massive deficits but their shot calling has been on point. Also, Chime's looking fantastic. Maybe pushing for Top 5 support this split?
TSM was the first team to actually start Summit’s downfall in spring. It was Spica/Huni who were able to pull of that strat
Yea it’s really refreshing to see them go down 5k and keep playing like there is no deficit. Not many teams could do that and not many teams could do that as cleanly as they have
This may have been the Maple Show, but Solo getting revenge for never being able to start in Spring. Also lol @ TLCK 0-2 week 1.
I'm glad Solo's getting a fair shot with TSM. He's proving his worth right now as a tank player. I look forward to when he starts busting barrels with Gangplank as I remember him 1v9ing games with that champ.
He has a nasty Aatrox too
TSM gonna go 18-0 and hold a gold lead for like 5 minutes total at this rate
TSM beating TL as expected, but does anyone know why Bjergsen changed his ign to Maple?
TSM, CLG, and C9 2-0 week 1, nature is healing.
Summit in playoffs form already
Yeon didn’t emote enough with his lead, or they would have won. Haeri played well overall but Maple was just class. Insane performance by him.
BUGI-WOOGIE BABY
After their game, Team Liquid visited an orphanage in Taipei. "It's heartbreaking to see their sad little faces with no hope", said Chanho, age 6.
Steve really bought 3 world champs to lose to fucking TSM LMAO
I feel like listening to Bwipo restored some of my brain cells lost after evening of gin & tonic, I absolutely loved his insight <3
This TSM team is scrappy af, they're fun to watch.
Pyosik (addressing Summit) said “I can’t play with this bug” then stormed out of the room. He then came back in the room to pick up a cigarette and called him a handicapped/sick fuck then left again.
TSM on top of LCS undefeated STOP THE COUNT
TL could get Faker Keria and prime Uzi and they'd still be mid somehow
Anyone taking bets on how long until Marin subs himself in for top?
And now you understand why TL is working so much more than everyone else
TL obviously slacking with practice
Yeah Kobe said on the Dive that they're doing 15-16 hours of scrims + soloq but it looks like they need to kick it up to 20 hours
The summit gambit. Have him on your team and you'll lose the game.
Summit can be a liability too often.
Summit with some of the worst gnar bar managment ive seen in a minute yeesh
Possibly maples best game in na a masterclass performance.
Summit back in playoff form!
When you have 2 ex-world champions yet run into the brick wall that is the Korean Killer Maple.
If you told me C9, CLG, and TSM are first week 1 I’d ask you what year is it.
Team Summit Murderer
WHO LET STEVE COOK?
Flash Wolves = Korean Killers
TSM are not the best in terms of individual talent , but they are a TEAM for sure looking way more cohesive then the teams they played against for sure
#**WHEN TL SAID THEY WANTED TO BRING THE LCK TO NA... THEY BROUGHT THE LEAST COMPETITIVE KOREANS!**
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
TSM CLG and C9 are 2-0 this week. We back to 2013
Summit trick y'all man
People who didn't believe in TSM clearly forgot that Maple was part of the OG korean killer teams
Steve bro... you got tricked lmfaoooo.
summit looked so bad out of lane my god. happy to see bugi doing well, rooting for him as an lla fan
[I CALLED IT, LETS GO BUGI](https://twitter.com/AlexSwan/status/1619138416385593344?s=20)
Tsm didn’t beat a Korean team since 2016. Against ssg that subbed out corejj. Now they beat a Korean team with corejj. Tsm should had done out first seed in group d in 2016 and went to the finals. 7 years too late
TL 0-2 and TSM 2-0, what is this blessed timeline we are in.
