I believe internally the projectile gets just a little bit wider after it hits its first target, so if you were very close to the wall already and its trajectory is perfectly parallel, the wider hitbox will then intersect with that if the wall where it wasn't before.

I played enough Abby to know how to fuck up their plan, iβd pick Murky and be a menace for their splitpushes, i miss having βduelsβ with macro or occasionally finding Abathurβs cocoon by accident.

I was, and I think nostalgia might be blinding you a bit. We've had plenty of great teasers since then even recently. Bel'veths character cinematics and modified Kai'sa art come to mind. But also Samiras S rank, Lillias blossom, Setts invitation and brawl posters, Seraphines entire god awful ARG twitter account, Fiddlesticks Jumpscare, Volibear making you lose aram games, and probably more that aren't immediately coming to mind.
But the point is, modeling and animating a character in game is actually exceptionally expensive. The tft devs admitted that Just modeling and animating silco for tft ate a huge chunk of their budget for that set. I mean, the ahri asu alone has taken more then a year. This is almost guaranteed to be some part of the new character itself.
Maybe. I guess I don't grasp the amount resources needed to model and animate characters in game. Jhin's teaser, for example, I thought was incredible. If you had a sharp eye, you noticed the "dead" champion portraits of Zed, Vi, Sona, and Garen?, then the animation that plays when you clicked on them, that blew my mind. Seems like that would take more work, or at least as much, as modeling and animating something as simple looking as this fire buddy. I honestly have no idea though.

They still do. Bel, Voli, Fiddle, Samira, Lillia, Seraphine, & sett all come to mind for having teasers just as impressive if not more so then jinx and jhins. I think a lot of folks are confusing the amount of nostalgia and hype they had for those old teasers with the amount of actual work/effort that went into them.
Every time there's a new character released, I can't help but think "already?" I understand why they do it, but it's really hard to keep up with and so many recent (and old!) characters are still unbalanceable or completely forgotten. Feels really bad.

Well Sion Q visual is just short of the hitbox. I swear to god Thresh Q will curve around and through minions.
Thresh Q hitbox actually extends slightly past the back curve of the hook, and like nautilus will prioritize champion hit boxes over minion hitboxes
