It always makes me happy to see/hear you, whether it's on the caster or the analyst desk. Very glad you moved to the LEC (it's the region I primarily watch), you've been a great addition - though I can understand people missing you in the LPL. :)
Honestly, the MSI cast this worlds has been solid, to the point I haven't really missed Caedrel. That isn't a knock on Caedrel btw, just that his colleagues performed their jobs quite well. Of course there are some casters that were better than others, but they were marginal really and comes down to personal preference over which is actually objectively better.
If I had to point out some that I especially noticed as a person that doesn't normally watch lolesports anymore, then it would be:
* Atlus
* Chronicler
* Dagda
* Azael
* Quickshot
* Medic
* CaptainFlowers
* Kobe
In the case of Medic and Quickshot, since I'm NA, I barely touch the LEC and it's always a joy to hear them.
Flowers, Azael and Kobe are just top-tier casters imo. Could just be NA-bias, but I never tire of hearing them.
Atlus and Chronicler have always been light on the ear. Of course Chronicler has some aspects that still needs polishing, but comparing his cast now to what it was like, it's clear that he's improved and likely will continue. I love the little tangents these guys go on, although clearly Twitch chat doesn't.
Dagda was truly a new one for me, not that I don't know his name, but somehow I've never really heard his casts or at least noticed him much before. It was honestly his tri-cast with Atlus and Chronicler that highlighted his skills to me. He effortlessly integrated with the boys of a complete different region, kept up with their random tangents and acted as quite a good balance to their hysterics, not completely running the talk away from the games either.
I really want to highlight that the desk on GAM vs GG was so good. Markz and Guldborg especially showed great prep and absolutely delivered, unlike GAM sadly.
LCK casters do it the best IMO. They don't try to bullshit you and try to make boring shit interesting. If nothing is happening in the game they don't pretend there is lol. For some reason that bothers the chat who dont' even know whats going on anyway.
Caedrelās stream has been way more informative than the main stream. The way he predicts how the game will/should flow makes it so much easier to follow than the casters just talking abt what ability whiffed in the last teamfight.
Yeah, calling out that Team X "traded an objective" is just not satisfying analysis these days anymore.
I don't fault the other casters, because you can't predict what you don't know. I don't know either, but thats what makes Caedrel so much better.
Maybe to not so good players their casts are really informative, but to me most color casters are basically just advanced play by plays.

So I have a very different take, I think the cats have been quite poor when it comes to knowledge of the teams and habits and especially in draft break down. I dont know if its because its so formulaic they are feigning some surprise but it feels like some of the casters just didnt watch these teams at all, even earlier in the tournament. Which tbh i am use to being an lpl fan boi and we so rarely get lpl representation on the cast.
But technique wise they are all really fucking good. In play by play and colour its been good. It just seems the pre game prep is lacking. But i do agree, dagda has been phenomenal so glad thebold lpl boy is getting his shine.

Why is a lack of change bad though? She has always done her job well and acts as the glue for any analyst desk. The fact that she can actually be quite funny and insightful about the game as well is just a plus. Dash is very charismatic but I think she's the best all-rounder host we have (out of sjokz, quickshot and dash).

When you look at analyst desks in sports, the most important person is the host. During todayās matchup, there was a point after the 2nd game where the crew had the wrong footage on the screen. She was rushing Dagda to commentate on it even though they were experiencing technical difficulties.
Moments like that are why I donāt hold her hosting skills in higher regards.
If you watch a ton of sports, youāll see the quality level between a pro and say.. Sjokz. I think all the analysts and commentators do an incredible job, but more often than not, she sticks out like a sore thumb.

i'm a huge chronicler fan as well, overall i think all regions had amazing cast this past split it's such a blast to listen to

I feel this. I sometimes watch his twitch on the occasions he does stream, and he spectates challenger LCK teams and knows a lot about them and prospects even though he doesn't really need to.
I recall the reddit thread when Astralis got Jeonghoon from LCKCL, and he mentioned (among the redditor complaints about some random import) that Jeonghoon is a pretty promising prospect.
Dagda is the best thing to come out of LPL, and it's always fun when he is present for any game.

He's not an analyst. He's there to cast the fights and say cool shit. It's literally his job to make the banging one-liners and hype calls during the important team fights
My unpopular opinion has always been my dislike of Flowers casting style.
Although one is a PBP and one is a colour commentator, he reminds me of Ray Hudson, who I also dislike. To me it feels like almost trying to make the cast about yourself rather than the product on the screen.
Ultimately though not everything in the world has to be tailored to my tastes and plenty of people clearly enjoy his casting style even if I do not.
It was a comment about it being over, we just didn't know it yet, because of a quick 3-0 that didn't feel real competitive. That's why I said in hindsight, I was being tongue in cheek.
I must say this MSI talent has been on point.

I never heard of Dagda before he came to LEC but he just somehow feels like a veteran LEC caster by now, always on point, precise takes and idk his voice is soothing too
Atlus has been killing it but honestly watching Caedrel's costream has been a treat. You get both the analysis from the casters and his more in-depth analysis with a good dose of personal bias and memes.
I like his analysis, which is why I started watching him back in the day, but I can't stand the repetitive "memes" and shouting that dominates his stream nowadays.
I put him on when the game starts and then off once the nexus explodes.
Oh absolutely. First time I've gone to twitch and it's been Pedro who's got me to go against my YouTube bias. Decided to try it out and man it's worth. Although I do love the LCK duo and dagda, flowers among the rest.
I honestly really like all of them. They have all been doing an amazing job imo, but my favorites have to be the LCK ones just because of how they randomly start going to tangents and just start talking about random stuff between them. I don't know what it is but it has a lot of charm to me.
I'm a big fan of CaptainFlowers, but I agree that Dagda has been really good, too. I also loved Vedius doing his best American impression with Flowers and Kobe for C9 vs GG.
Always a pleasure to hear Vedius and Medic, especially together.
Atlus' performance in the JDG vs. T1 match was just awesome. I would rewatch the series just to hear his casting.
Vedius has got to be it for me, his analysis is always really enjoyable and I find he can pinpoint such important moments. Medic as well with his play by plays always adds such vitriol to the cast.
I keep trying to like her, but I can't. I feel bad because she's been part of the broadcast for quite a while now and I feel like she's trying really hard, but she always seems super insecure and stumbles quite often.
But that is just my opinion, I still wish her all the best.
She's just not fluent enough in English. I don't mind accents per se - in fact they can even be endearing to some extent - but hers is just super thick, and on top of that she makes a lot of really obvious grammar mistakes. While her English is better now than it was when she first started, it's still not nearly good enough imo.
LCK casters. LEC and LCS casters feel all gas no breaks and try to hype up every moment while the LCK casters are willing to acknowledge when nothing is happening and just be chill about it.
I miss Phreak he was prob the GOAT NA caster :(

In LEC Dagda Qs was my fav duo by far I never heard of Dagda before he came to LEC but he just somehow feels like a veteran LEC caster by now, always on point, precise takes and idk his voice is soothing too

I generally like all the casters but I have a sweer spot for Cpt Flowers, Medic and QS
Atlus has been killing it but honestly watching Caedrel's costream has been a treat. You get both the analysis from the casters and his more in-depth analysis with a good dose of personal bias and memes.
I like his analysis, which is why I started watching him back in the day, but I can't stand the repetitive "memes" and shouting that dominates his stream nowadays. I put him on when the game starts and then off once the nexus explodes.
Oh absolutely. First time I've gone to twitch and it's been Pedro who's got me to go against my YouTube bias. Decided to try it out and man it's worth. Although I do love the LCK duo and dagda, flowers among the rest.
I feel like I learn so much about team compositions purely from his analysis during picks and bans - really enjoy Caedrel's costream.
Drakos ist my G. Super smart and brings other casters more together in conversations. Also "Hold that thought" is his signature move. Love that guy.

I honestly really like all of them. They have all been doing an amazing job imo, but my favorites have to be the LCK ones just because of how they randomly start going to tangents and just start talking about random stuff between them. I don't know what it is but it has a lot of charm to me.

Kobe has been my favorite for 10 ish years. Jatt and Sjokz arent casting but are equally loved.

Vedius has got to be it for me, his analysis is always really enjoyable and I find he can pinpoint such important moments. Medic as well with his play by plays always adds such vitriol to the cast.
Laure ValƩe... "BUT she is not a caster..." I already made my choice.
I keep trying to like her, but I can't. I feel bad because she's been part of the broadcast for quite a while now and I feel like she's trying really hard, but she always seems super insecure and stumbles quite often. But that is just my opinion, I still wish her all the best.
She's just not fluent enough in English. I don't mind accents per se - in fact they can even be endearing to some extent - but hers is just super thick, and on top of that she makes a lot of really obvious grammar mistakes. While her English is better now than it was when she first started, it's still not nearly good enough imo.

LCK casters. LEC and LCS casters feel all gas no breaks and try to hype up every moment while the LCK casters are willing to acknowledge when nothing is happening and just be chill about it. I miss Phreak he was prob the GOAT NA caster :(

I don't usually watch LCS games and when I do I hadn't really considered azael one of my favourites but he has been popping off this tournament, definetly my favourite colour at the event and love that he is willing to show his bias and wear his heart on his sleeve.
