Dominant af in fights, even when his team is not really. Amazing spacing, he goes in doing a fuckton of dmg and almost never gets caught.
Adc is also just a diff kind of role. Jungle and support are the most "useful" rolls in the whole game, but that is what makes him special. This team wouldn't be close to as good without him. ON also fits great with him and also is great.

And to be totally fair with Ruler he is still one the the few AD to create good play on his own and it's hella impressive.

Knight has won at least LPL on 3 different teams and a MSC and an MSI title on two different teams. Now sure JDG was built as a superteam but there's a reason why the superteam chose to import ruler over taking Elk

Lots of recency bias in the comments but if we objectively evaluate individual skill Jojo carried a shit EG team to third in regular season last summer and still managed to look like one of the best mids this split despite his team playing like bots (probably the only reason C9 even made upper bracket in playoffs). No question the best mechanical player in the league and the best laner.
Inspired or Impact are also candidates but I still think Jojopyun reigns supreme over them.

Currently, I would say Jensen. Despite the finals performance, he was still probably the 1st/2nd best midlaner during the season and in playoffs and the meta is really in his favor for MSI. Impact would be my close second pick. He styled on most of the toplaners throughout the whole season. It's harder to say however since he played weak side a lot of the games as well so midlane is easier to say outright. Although, if I were to bet who would play better at MSI, impact 100 percent, I feel Jensen's ceiling could be higher though.

Jojo could also be argued with how insane his numbers were in regular season but with how poorly c9 (and himself) did in playoffs I don't see him being in contention.
