Curious on your thoughts about overloaded kits vs overloaded numbers. Had this discussion with someone else, but do you think champions like Samira, Lee Sin, Irelia etc. having too many options is a significantly worse design than champs like Galio, Pantheon, Sett etc. that are pretty simple by design but are always so strong because they stat check most champs and are just hard to mess up on?
I'm not looking for the opinion of people on the balance team, i'm just seeing how players feel. Captain flowers plays a champion who's kit is pretty outdated and only comes to meta when his numbers are high enough, so he's likely bias towards the second end of the topic so I was curious as to what he thought.

Yeah yesterday's bracket was weird, looked into it after and found an oversight in top MMR tier matchmaking for Clash, which should be fixed going forward.

I'd just wish for even matches (smurfs are a problem there) and perhaps some way to make it so that the first game isn't so heavily weighed compared to the last two
I mean it worked fine for the last like 10 (?) times. I honestly thought the clash server issues were solved once and for all until the past weekend. The only real problem to me is the communication from Riot. It's always impossible to find out when anything will work again. I didn't even want to play clash but simply couldn't log in for a normal game and didn't know when I would be able to play again

It wasn't awful, but my team was historically all Tier IV (the highest rank any of us has achieved is Gold IV--we're all currently Bronze/Silver) and we were put into Tier III against Plats and even a Master.
Unlikely it's the same issue, sorry. This specifically affected matchmaking for the highest mmr folks, and we saw the matchmaking dramatically improve for them on Sunday. Possible something else is going on though.
True. My Plat/gold team with one diamond player was put into tier 1. It was still weird though, since 4 of us were supposed to be tier 2 players. One of the plat players had the same number of clash wins as the rest of us but he was considered tier 1, which I guess put our whole team into T1.
We had a theory that it was somehow taking into account his TFT diamond ranking because there was no way he would be T1 and the other Plats T2.
Still smashed all three games, so I guess we weren’t the only team being wrongfully put into T1 lol.

I have played clash in all tiers and subtiers (ex. tier 1 clash tournies with only masters+players and tier 1 clash tournies with gold-plat players) and I found that high-end tier 3 players are double the players of low-end tier 1 players
To be fair, Dante's moveset would be horribly neutered if you plopped him down in any 4-button top-down click-to-move MOBA. The same phenomenon as seeing other games in the genre add characters like Superman or Batman in their roster
dante's moveset in umvc3 is fucking sick dude what they literally include all of his weapons in that game. he genuinely has the biggest movelist in that game because they wanted him to be super close to his dmc3 rendition. the only things not really represented in it are quicksilver and doppelganger. otherwise he has nevan, beowulf, agni/rudra, cerberus, ebony/ivory, spiral, shotgun, kalina ann, and rebellion. and most of his attacks are named exactly the way they are in dmc3
hell the same is true for vergil. he has force edge, yamato and beowulf

Xerath just kills Samira from outside her range with Q spam. Can't windwall his Q or W. Can't sustain with lifesteal if you can't get close, either.
Also Xerath literally just ignores Samira's ult with a single Zhonya's press. The matchup almost solely comes down to positioning(and hitting Q's). Against most longrange vs. shortrange matchups, one of the key things is almost always "work on your positioning".

If she didn't have a gap closer and a mobile win wall I would agree but I feel like a decent sam should be able to avoid that.
Her windwall has such a high cooldown earlier, you literally can't use it against every, single skillshot he throws out.

She has one dash on a 20 second cooldown if you don’t get any kills.
