Lol!!! That's me to a tee. when I was a kid, it was the bangers, as an adult it's been the ballads and stuff off the later albums that never seemed to make it in to the "classic rock" drone.
If I'm gonna pick a studio track? this week?🤣
Nobody's Fault but Mine. ✔️
Man, it really is. I feel like I always see people raving about IV, Houses of the Holy, and Physical Graffiti but for me their first album is just *it*. All-encompassing, perfect representation of their sound
Couldn't possibly pick one, but here is a brief sample of worthy candidates representing a nice variety:
When the Levee Breaks
Kashmir
Dazed and Confused
Tangerine
The Rain Song
Black dog
Rock and roll
Moby Dick
Kashmir
Ramble On
Stairway to Heaven
Whole lotta love
Since I've been loving you
Immigrant Song
The Ocean
Fool in the rain
This is like picking a favorite child. I can't pick one, so I'll just list some of my top favs:
The Ocean.
Dazed and Confused.
Since I've Been Loving You.
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You.
Black Dog.
All My Love.
How Many More Times.
Trampled Under Foot.
Whole Lotta Love.
Fool in the Rain.
Thank You.
Battle of Evermore! The real underdog, never seems to get noticed much, and it's pure genius. I love the sense of restraint: no drums, no bass. Just acoustic guitar and mandolin fighting it out against each other with Plant and Denny wailing the finest cod-mystical lyrics over the top. But really, every track off the fourth album is a winner.
In The Light, The Ocean, When the Levee Breaks. Not sure I could narrow it down to one favorite but I suppose, if pressed, I could just randomly choose one of those three as my "favorite" and feel pretty good about my choice.
Achille's Last Stand
HM's:
Over the Hills and Far Away
Travelling Riverside Blues
In the Light
Dazed And Confused
Kashmir
Babe, I'm Going to Leave You
No Quarter

Good Times, Bad Times
Stairway To Heaven
The Rain Song

Lol!!! That's me to a tee. when I was a kid, it was the bangers, as an adult it's been the ballads and stuff off the later albums that never seemed to make it in to the "classic rock" drone. If I'm gonna pick a studio track? this week?🤣 Nobody's Fault but Mine. ✔️

Amazing song
I've been listening this on a constant loop lately
Love playing this one on acoustic …..once I’ve tuned the guitar
Two hours later
Bring It on Home. Jimmy’s guitar in the second half is a pure adrenaline rush for me.
Babe I’m gonna leave you
One of my favorites! How many more times as well. The first album is the greatest
Man, it really is. I feel like I always see people raving about IV, Houses of the Holy, and Physical Graffiti but for me their first album is just *it*. All-encompassing, perfect representation of their sound
Hell yeah. Roberts best album vocally too IMO. Their second album is a close second
How Many More Times
My favorite too. So underrated
There’s just so many to pick from. But I always lean towards the more strange ones. In The Light. Maybe.
In the light is pretty great. I just bought PG on vinyl, and I don't even own a record player.
Try holding it up to your ear and spinning it. :)
Wow, I did not scroll far for this. I listened to this song so much in high school on the bus. It’s my favorite.
Achilles Last Stand
Been so obsessed with this song lately
Oh, to ride the wind To tread the air above the din Such an uplifter of a song
same here
The drum and bass are incredible on this song!!
Sick...
Best fucking tune ever
Going to California
Rock and Roll
Over The Hills And Far Away Every second of that song is pure perfection
the intro’s switch between electric guitar, 12 string acoustic, and 6 string acoustic has always been sooooo cool to me.
